The reason why I gave you more than a MONTHS notice was for you to organize yourself for the day. You don't tell me a week before the event saying you're going to be late. I always schedule myself around your events, so why can't you do the same for mine?! Next time, I'm never inviting you to anything if you continue to be this disorganized.

Ok, so some people here might disagree with me BUT!
Must you always have to "get smashed" in order to experience a good time?! The event is at a fine dining venue. I don't want my friends to crawl out of the restaurant after throwing up in the restroom. Have a little class. -
