    Song Il Gook Talks About How Much The Triplets Have Grown

    Daehan Minguk Manse Song Il Gook

    The nation’s triplets, Daehan, Minguk, and Manse, made a welcomed appearance on the November 5 broadcast of “Entertainment Relay” with their father!

    The broadcast revealed the triplets on the set of an advertisement shoot, where the boys looked much taller and stronger than before. When the reporter asked what they want to be when they grow up, Daehan tried to eat the mic, Minguk said a shark, and Manse chose a racecar driver.

    n his interview with the reporter, Song Il Gook revealed that the boys are already five years old. He commented that they have gotten much heavier and  also much smarter!

    He shared a funny story that happened recently when he was trying to discipline Manse. After he finished scolding Manse, he said that Manse looked at him straight in the eyes and rebutted each point. Song Il Gook said he started to stammer and realized that Manse was correct, and revealed that he ended up taking the punishment alongside Manse!

    Song Triplets Go On A Subway Adventure And Look Handsome Waiting For Choo Sarang In Instagram Photos

    Song Il Gook has updated us on the lives of his beloved triplets with two cute photos!

    On August 30, Song Il Gook posted a picture to his Instagram of Daehan, Minguk, and Manse all ready for adventure in their matching outfits, complete with red helmets, as they sit on a bench in the subway.

    Song Il Gook writes as the caption, “Mini firefighters who took the subway with dad for the first time in a while.”

    About an hour later, he shared a photo of the boys looking a bit dressed up outside of a restaurant. Song Il Gook writes, “A photo taken yesterday at a Korean restaurant to commemorate the moment while we were waiting for Sarang noona.”

     

    The Song triplets and Choo Sarang got to know each other while they were both appearing on the KBS show “The Return of Superman.” We hope they had a great time together yesterday!

    Song Triplets Are Little Patriots As They Join Song Il Gook On Stage To Celebrate National Liberation Day

    Song Il Gook’s beloved triplets joined their dad on stage at his musical with South Korean flags to celebrate National Liberation Day!

    On August 15, Song Il Gook reposted a photo to his Instagram that a fan had taken during the curtain call for his musical “42nd Street,” in which Daehan, Minguk, and Manse look positively adorable in their smart outfits and hats on stage.

    Song Il Gook writes, “Daehan, Minguk, and Manse who joined their dad as a surprise during curtain call for National Liberation Day today. Thank you so much to the audience member who took the photo! I didn’t have any photos so I have to re-gram this.”

     

     

    August 15 is National Liberation Day in Korea, which celebrates the day in which Korea was liberated from Japanese colonial rule in 1945. Song Il Gook is known for showing his patriotism for South Korea, and even once took part in a relay swim to Dokdo (a group of islets which both South Korea and Japan claim as their own) on National Liberation Day in 2012, as well as of course named his sons Daehan, Minguk, and Manse (their names together sound like “Long live the Republic of Korea”). Song Il Gook’s great-grandfather was a general who fought for Korea’s independence from Japan, and his grandfather also fought against the Japanese police during the colonial period.

    The Song triplets’ appearance must have been a great surprise for everyone in the audience today

    On the July 24 episode of MBC program “Human Documentary,” Song Il Gookmeets veteran musical actress Yoon Bok Hee who is visiting her student musical actress Kim Sun Kyung.

    When Yoon Bok Hee sees Song Il Gook, she tells him, “I’m a fan of Daehan, Minguk, and Manse, especially Minguk.”

    When Kim Sun Kyung asks Yoon Bok Hee why she likes Minguk, she says, “He’s got an outstanding musical sense.”

    Song Il Gook is caught off guard and says, “Really? He seems to have a good musical sense?”

    Yoon Bok Hee insists, “Yea, I watched [‘The Return of Superman‘] from start to finish.”

    “My wife has pitch,” Song Il Gook says. “I want to make [Minguk] a musical actor later.”

    Yoon Bok Hee says, “He’s good at rapping too, isn’t he?”

    Song Il Gook subsequently whips out his phone and manages to get his boys on a video call, trying to get them to sing for Yoon Bok Hee and Kim Sun Kyung.

    Song Il Gook Talks About Possibility Of Triplets Appearing On TV Again

     

    Actor Song Il Gook sat down for an interview to promote his latest musical “42nd Street” where he talked about the possibility of the triplets (Daehan, Minguk, and Manse) appearing on TV again.

    When asked “Is there a chance of the triplets appearing on TV again?” the father says, “The kids have grown too much to appear on ‘The Return of Superman.’ I don’t think so. I will appear on TV whenever I get the chance but I don’t think the kids will.”

    Ever since leaving “The Return of Superman,” Song Il Gook has set up an Instagram account to update fans on how the triplets are doing.

    He comments, “I have a bunch of photos to upload on Instagram. It takes me about 30~40 minutes to edit a video and upload it but I don’t have time to do that.”

    He also talks about the triplets slowly learning what his job is, saying, “I think they know that their father is performing on stage. When I asked ‘What does dad do?’ they first answered, ‘Jang Young Shil’ but now they say ‘Julian Marsh.’ They began to change a year ago. They know for sure about what their mom does, and now they know a little about what their dad does, too.”

    What if the triplets want to become actors? Song Il Gook says, “My mother never forced me to do anything. She always supported what I do and allowed me to do it. Just like how she supported me, I want to support them in their dreams as long as they aren’t crimes.”

    Meanwhile, Song Il Gook is currently performing in his musical “42nd Street” as the main lead Julian Marsh.
