Haven't been here in years...
Well, bought two tickets to the Houston. So... was all presale that vip ticket package? I was assuming I could buy regular tickets but oh well. My sister owes me, lol! I'm a bit surprised they're hitting up Houston and Dallas... I guess Texas is a nice central location? Idk, but I'm excited.

I'm not really soompi active anymore and have never posted here... but I figures someone might appreciate my write up of seeing the Wonder Girls in Houston.
We got dropped off and walked around to the other side, trying to find the Verizon bus. We found the spot and there were about 20-30 fans there. Lol, tall fanboys next to us. Then someone spotted them coming out of the venue and walking toward the group and we freaked out.
Aimee has a video of the whole thing... she just needs to upload it. They are so freakin' pretty in person and I will never stop saying that. Their English is really good and they're just super cute. They taught the dance (though most of us knew it) and then picked two girls to come up and dance. Then they left. Kinda short but it was crazy hot outside so I can't blame them.
We sat through Honor Society's opening set. They finished and I knew the Wonder Girls were next and got all excited. When the guy started introducing them Aimee and I stood up (Ashley stayed seated the whole time, lol) and people around us were very "what the heck???" when I started screaming for them. They started with Tell Me and my reaction could only be described as :DDDDDDDDDDD. Aimee recorded the video of that one and I took pics. She hasn't uploaded that either, the video picture itself isn't that great but the sound is good. I took a few pictures but mostly just sang and dance.
Then they performed Nobody! Well, they taught the dance first. That and the song itself Aimee recorded with my camera. I uploaded it to youtube and it's processing at the moment.
I let out a "SOHEEEE!" at a quiet moment (and a "YOOBIIIINNN! at a kinda quiet moment when they were about to walk off). I got my singing and dancing on. People stood up for them during the dance teaching but it was mostly only people in the actual floor seating that stayed up for the song. The people around me looked at us oddly a lot but forget them. They finished and the crew started setting up for the Jonas Brothers.
So we lined up! We were near the front of the line because only the Wonder Girl fans lined up early and we were hanging out in the area. I got a little anxious as the line started moving. They were doing pictures only and Aimee, Ash, and me went in at the same time and Aimee got her pic first (Ash didn't take one).
Aimee told Sohee that she was her favorite (and she said, "Oh thank you so much!"), lol, and got hugs from everyone but Sunye (her bad!). Then she told them it was my birthday because I walked up there and Yoobin (j:AJF:LADLKF:Ldfaj;sldkja9) asked, "So you're the birthday girl?" I said, "yeah" and they went:
"Happy Birthday!!!" and Yoobin put her arm around me.I walk off after getting a Yoobin hug (again!) and and Yeeun hug (she was so dang sweet the whole time) and pretty much skipped over to my sister. We thought about standing there and taking pictures but a venue worker told us to leave or go back inside which we did and got back in line. It was a lot longer by then but it went pretty quickly. I was worried they might kick us out and not let us back through (I didn't see anyone else get back in line). So when we went back in I was walking/hiding behind my sister but when they saw us we got a :DDD reaction. Aimee asked Sohee if she could stand next to her and Sohee smiled and said "Yeah! Of course!" Sunmi, omg lol, told my sister, "Thank you for coming... again!" and my sister said, "Shhh, don't tell." and Sunmi smiled and said, "It's okay!". MOVING ON... lol. I also walked up to them and Yeeun pretty much beamed at me and said, "You're a Wonder Girl!" and I just smiled like an idiot and I forget what Yoobin said. I tried to face forward like I did in the first pic but didn't realize Yeeun and Sunye had angled themselves and ended up elbowing Yeeun. D: I told her sorry and she patted my back and laughed. We took the pictures (duh!)
and I gave them all a hug before skipping off again. And then I went home. Lol. But they were all super friendly and sweet and made each person feel special. I was a big fan of the girls before I went but I can't explain in words how much I love them now.

^ From their site: "The tour is scheduled to hit 43 cities in the U.S. and Canada between late February and late April 2008. Canadian dates will be released in January 2008." D'Ray and MUCC are playing all shows so they will be in Canada!
Man if I didn't have a Spring Break trip planned I would have had a mini tour with my friend because TOC is hitting up the east coast during my break. I could have went to Philly then NJ then DC then Albany LOL. But going to just NJ is fine with me. Maybe even Philly if I feel like cutting out of school early a day or two.
You should definitely try to make the Dallas one. How far away from you is it?
Lol, then they should stop saying "we're bring jrock bands to America!". It's deceiving. Hahaha, my friend had a panic attack over it.
Dallas is either three/four hours away. I'm thinking it's four. But I'd have to figure out if it's cheaper to fly or drive, gas prices are crazy. (Though, it's not as bad here. Not $3 a gallon yet. Wow, that got really OT)
And yeah, I'd assume the official site would list accurate dates.

So, you guys think Giru is up for WOA? They're relatively new when compared to veterans like MUCC, Despa, and Diru. This will probably be one of the biggest gigs they ever did lol. Though I have yet to see them live. I heard they were really good so hopefully they'll rock the house ^^
Though I can't speak on the WOA itself or the crowd... Girugamesh totally pwned the second night at jrev. Those boys were crazy and intense, and quite easily my favorite set that night. I have tons of faith in them and hope they kill their shows.
Lol, I've been avoiding this thread since all the European stuff started coming out. Hahaha. Please come back to the States now. XD

Hahahaha... I've been going through that roller coaster of emotions every since dates started leaking and were then squashed as wrong. My little heart can't take it. LOL!
Eh, if anything I can drive/fly to Dallas. I would just have to get the okay from my father (yes, I am 21) to go. And he's not a big fan of the jrock. XD But I'm hoping they squeeze a Houston show in between the Biloxi and Dallas one. They have a two open days. Lol. And it would be sweet if there was a Houston and I did both that and Dallas.
Ugh, "this year we are proud to bring audiences the best Japanese Rock bands to the United States". I guess that means no jrock bands in Canada. They seem pretty specific about it. D:

Now this? That's official, as far as I know. Official site (linked from official myspace... or vice versa really).
That kinda killed all my happy vibes. I'll be so super pissed if, every year of the tour before they've stopped in Houston, but the one year I'll really want to go they won't stop here. Especially if we're passed up for OK.
That was kinda mean, so sorry to anyone from OK.

And luckily it was hiding under all the Diru ones. (I bought my tickets off of someone) but it's listed at $33, which sounds right. D: I'm pretty sure everyone mentions them being around $30.
One thing I loved about ToC was that we got to take in our cameras and go picture crazy. I even filmed 75% of a band's set (30 Seconds to Mars) and it came out it surprisingly great quality. My sister loves to watch it all the time on our computer. So, hopefully they don't change that. And... (almost?) every band did a signing session last year, but I'm not familiar enough with ToC to say count on it. And you had to buy merch in a limited amount of time. Anyway, I'm getting way ahead of myself. XD There hasn't even been a list of tour dates yet.

No tour dates yet and I don't think the American bands have been confirmed. (I think the fans are still bickering over who they think might headline)
Now, I'm only worried about jrock fans and the non-jrock fans not meshing well... We've all heard how well some Diru fans got along with others. >.> I think some jrock fans have already started massing on the ToC forum (which isn't much of anything though. XD)... some random quote from the forum that made LOL SO HARD.
I listened to those Japanese bands and those aren't even J Rock those are J Pop, Can't say i liked a single song of theirs on their myspaces', at least Malice Mizer is good J-Rock, this will be an interesting year with a bunch of Japanese bands to say the least.WTF?

MUCC = jpop
but...
Malice Mizer = for serious jrock of awesome. Sorry, not a big fan here.
Well, I guess ToC will be a million times better then last year (which I went to). Hopefully no one decides to light up a joint in the middle of the pit this time. D: That wasn't appreciated.

I have very strong personal opinions about the whole thing, and worries... but I'm going to mostly hold them back. There's just the fact (and I'm not alone in remembering this) is some interview, Kaoru shot down the idea of releasing an album like this (to mark their 10 year anniversay). Now I can't find that interview, and neither can anyone else... but I don't think that many people hallucinated it into existence. [removed a sentence of pure emo, lmfao]
I guess safe conversation could be: what does everyone think about the song choices? I've already found a ton of upset fans. But when is the majority of the fanbase happy at the same time? XD Hrmm, personally some of the last songs on the second disc... are they really greatest hits? >.> And maybe I'm a greedy brat, but that's it, some remastered tracks? XDDDDD
I'm done rambling... well, except for the fact this totally throws my Christmas list off. Now I need to make room for them, thanks guys.

The rumor (I heard it from a girl who usually is on the inside loop, but I'm not saying she always is right, but she always knew about Diru touring long before it was announced) is that they tried to get Gazette for jrev, but it just didn't pan out. Like, they couldn't get everything together in time. But, like I said... it's a "I heard it from her" kind of thing.

Well... I see the "bad" and "scary" news hasn't made it here...
A former employee of the major advertising company Asatsu DK, INC and the executive of a music label were arrested in connection with fraud totaling 320,000,000 yen. In 2001, Kaku Kouichi* (39), a former employee of ADK, Tomioka Yuu [DYNAMITE TOMMY] (43), the president of the music label FREE-WILL, and Murasaki Ittoku (35) of the same firm placed a false order for costumes, concert costs, music video costs, and other overhead costs for the popular band Dir en grey, and are suspected of fradulently taking 324,000,000 yen from Asatsu DK, INC. The majority of the money was given to Tomioka by Kaku*. In regards to the investigation, Kaku* confessed to the charges while Tomioka denies them.

No one is sure how this will affect the band itself, but their Japanese tickets sales (of some venues) have been suspended.

Oh yeah, I think the scariest part besides the heavy Diru ties, is how this may affect all the bands connected to Free-Will (there's a list of bands in the link). Not saying something will happen, but it could happen.

Ugh, just saw the VIP tix up for Houston so I bought my sister and I each one... Though I'm a little pissed because I didn't wait and bought two regular tickets this morning. D: And with the ticketmaster fees it's not cheap. Oh well, I'll be happy in the end. Lol.
