I'm back on soompi! After alm0st 2years in hiatus, i missed this thread so much! I hope some of the sunbae's here can still remember me. . I've been quite busy with work and other things thus gives me no time to visit forums.
Right now i was trying to catch up with Jiwonnie's "Empress Ki" . . I really miss seing her in saeguk drama, she fits very well in that kind of role. . I remember her Hwang JinYi days. .

I hope LSG will do his best to catch up with Jiwon's level of acting~~

Now its c0nfirmed! He said at the 2010 SBS Drama Awards that he wish to work with HJW on his next project and n0w its a dream c0me true for him~!!
I d0nt mind the age gap c0z I know HJW can pull a str0ng chemistry with any actors she w0rks with. (pretty obvious in all her dramas and m0vies!) Remember JGS who was like 9 or 10 yrs younger than her but they showed us a great chemistry onscreen.

Btw, you have also watched Cl0ser to heaven?? I've watched it twice. Its the 1st HJW m0vie i'ved watched right after I got h0oked on her. . It was pretty good. Very inspiring although it was a sad ending. . To have s0meone you l0ve stayed at your side in your darkest days is the m0st precious thing you c0uld ever have. HaJiWon's character here (Ji Soo) was really admirable. She never leave Jong Woo (Kim Myung Min) even though her father disapproved their relati0n (due to his illness). She's so willing to sacrifice and t0ok care of JongWoo every single day because she loves him so much. It was so hard and hurts her to see him getting weaker every other day but she never l0ses h0pe that one day he will rec0ver fr0m his disease. . . HJW played the character so well. Very mature and extraordinary. . Thats why she w0n the Best Actress Award at the 46th Baeksang and the Blue Dragon awards Best actress.
Kim Myung Min played his r0le very well too. He garnered so many awards fr0m this m0vie. .
Closer to heaven is one of my fav. Jiwon m0vies yet I liked all the m0vies she starred. Have you watch Reversal of Fortune? Its a very nice m0vie with a very good plot. Her leading man there was around 9 yrs. older than her but I must say they do have a g0od chemistry. .
I am dearly hoping that her rumored new drama with Jo In Sung pushes through. It would be awesome to see her in a drama again and to be paired up with someone whom she has much onscreen chemistry with.

Its true that HJW is one of few actresses who are well-rec0gnized on the big screen. We kn0w m0st of HJW m0vies were hit. Son Ye Jin's m0vies are pretty g0od too (I've seen The Classic and April Snow), although I find m0st of its genres are melodramatic. While Kim Ha Neul, I haven't watched yet any of her m0vies but I've read s0me g0od reviews about her m0vies. However, am0ng this three I think Ha Ji Won was the directors and producer's favorite. Not that I am bias but we can see how HJW appears on the big screen c0nsecutively. I believe many directors wants to w0rk with her and producers who are willing to put a big investment if HJW will be the star of their film. Why? Because HJW has this str0ng charisma of bringing viewers on the theatres to watch her m0vie. People are always interested to see her playing different roles. Being an actress, it is crucial that people always shows interest on your film n0 matter whats the genre and the character you portray. It only means she really deserves to be one of the top A-list stars in Korea. Aside from her amazing acting skills, she has a big c0ntribution in korean film industry.
Oh well, to have "Ha-Son-Kim" in one film would be totally great! Directors should make a plan of casting these 3 in one m0vie!

I only have watched few epis0des of WHIB (I'm having trouble watching it in mysoju and dramacrazy, loading is so turtle you kn0w) but I've seen many MV's of it. And I can say they really had this very intense chemistry everytime they appear on the screen together. hope this 2nd c0llab will be materialized. This for sure is an0ther hit!!
Actually, other than JIS i have a l0ng list of actors whom I want to pair up with HJW in the near future. Some of them are: Kang D0ng Won (omo! Their pairing in Duelist leaves me hanging, i need to see them together again!), Won Bin, So Ji Sub (who would f0rget the scene where Jiwon was lying on the bed beside him and b0th of them died! They l0ok so g0od together), Bae Young Jun, Lee Dong Wok, Gong Yoo (InSung's bestfriend), Jang d0ng gun (a drama with HJW and JDG will surely skyrocket to fame) and many m0re! HJW's pairing with any actor always create a very good chemistry, that makes the l0ve story between the 2 main lead m0re believable. Regardless of age she blends well with her costars, whether he is younger or older.

About her getting off balance, when i first saw 0ne of the fancam, I also thought that Ji Won went off balance, c0z in the angle of the cam it seems like the guy in spiky hair accidentally push her when they all gathered cl0sely at the center. . But after watching an0ther fancam of the vid which was m0re focus on HJW fr0m the time she appeared up to the ending, she's wasn't actually pushed n0r went off balance, . . While in SBS coverage, you w0nt n0tice it bc0z the cam came fr0m diff. angles, s0metimes its too far and they also show the audience while the group where perf0rming.

S0mehow she's like GRI . Ra Im's pers0nality was same as hers. Very cute and cheerful. And her outfit was kinda same as Ra Im too. Wearing simple and athletic type of cl0thes.C0nsidering it was aired around last quarter of 2009. . . Oh well, the best part for me was when she split! Haha. I was like "OMG she does split!" i kn0w she trained advance aerobics for Sex is Zero but that was like 7yrs. ago. I'm quite amazed she can still do that.

I was glad when i was back in my country it was showing then and i watched it twice on 3D, first time with my friends then with my family. Full support for JiWonnie haha... That was really nice of HJW to support AA to think she hasn't performed since her home run performance. I enjoyed the whole performance otherwise.

yeah, Ganaax posted many of Jiwon's old m0vies/dramas. And i think i saw Secret d0wnload link. . It will be hard to find School 2 coz many of the d0wnload links are broken. And also, there were many newbie actors/actresses in that drama so its kinda diff. Faces appearing on screen from time to time in that drama. (i used to watch Gong yoo in school 4 bef0re and I rarely see his face bc0z there were alot of casts)

I think SBS edited the audio and lower the sound of screaming fans at the background. i started bec0ming addicted in this video. Its in my phone already. .Keke. . HJW's part is my m0st favorite ofcourse. Really love her voice and the way she dances. . Her version of the song was so beautiful eventhough she appears on the half part. . And I so l0ve their dance when they were singing the final chorus, its like they were having a party party! One of the many fancams of it i think f927 posted it,the cam was focus on HJW only, you could really see her sexy and lovely dance m0ves~

Haha I know what you mean, in truth actually HJW was really quite busy in the last 11 years. She did around 15 movies with a couple of cameo roles in a few more, in addition to 8 dramas! If you think about it, that is really really quite impressive for an actress hehe! A drama typically takes around at least 3-4 months to film, and a movie, depending on how many different scenes it has, would also take usually 3 months and above to film. She has also done quite a few commercials in between. No wonder she says she has a lot of acting greed haha!
There is actually quite a lot of content out there with her in it, to my natural delight hehe! I think she was only less busy during 2006-2008, where she did only 1 project a year in those years.Sad to hear that it is getting hard for you to keep up with HJW news. I too will get really busy in a months time, since my major exams are coming out soon in about a week and then after that I will enter the army
Likewise I have also downloaded all her movies and dramas but I did not watch them all, since it is my exam period after all. I cannot find some of her drama's though, such as Secret | Bi-mil (2000) as Lee Ji-Eun and School 2 | Hak Kyo 2 (KBS / 1999) | as Jang Se-Jin. I think his character is good as well so he should make a good partner to HJW if they ever collaborate together on a drama! So true! HJW's chemistry with the main lead is always good! She explained it before, as she says that whenever she is acting, she really falls in love with the main lead, though after they remove the costumes or the clothes they wear during their acting she will not feel anything for the main lead at all haha! That's why she said that she did not understand how she could love 2 people in WHIB, because as a person she does not believe that should happen but she played it really well I heard.
I can't wait for her next 2 movies! Want to watch her as much as I can before I go into the army haha! Still have a few more movies to go as well as HJY, WHIB and LIB. And you hit the nail right on the head with the comment that this thread only has 250pages. I was bewildered to see that such an amazing actress who has been acting for around a decade has only this amount of post on her soompi thread, and I always try my best to keep her in the first page of the actors & actresses official threads hehe. Nonetheless I believe that as you said, everything posted in here is worth so much, so I will just continue to post here and support her as much as I can as a fan!

So did you watched Sector7 when you were in Korea? That was really nice. I wanna see Sector7 too although many critics said it had a pretty bad storyline. HJW's acting is m0re important to me. I think its n0w available in dramacrazy.net but i'll ch0ose to watch it first in cinema. And i'm happy its n0w one of the upc0ming m0vies in theaters here in my c0untry. Hoping to see it bef0re the year ends.
Regards with Double A's perf0rmance with HJW, i think its pretty good. They d0nt l0ok like first timers at all. And HJW being there makes it m0re exciting to watch. HJW is so sexy and alluring with her outfit and dance m0ves while her voice seems so lovely.

Well, just like what royaloyalz said, if you haven't watch Jiwonnie's past projects yet, I rec0mmend you should watch her other dramas like Damo and What happened in Bali, but ready yourself for the endings cause its NOT really a happily ever after type of story that every1 wants. . You should n0t 4get Hwang JinYi too, you will be mesmerize by HJW's graceful dance m0vements. I thought HJY was Jiwon's masterpiece bc0z she really was so amazing with her perf0rmance here. Although when I first watch it, i like it but it didnt get me h0ok to HJW,but when i watch this for the 2nd time, I realize how amazing and beautiful this drama was. Its like HJW is the m0dern version of HJY bcoz just like HJY, HJW was beautiful, smart, with multiple talent, and has a great personality. Thats why when I think about how HJY looks like during the Jeoson era, i can't figure out any face but HJW's face. . HJW owned the title of the drama itself.
You gotta watch her m0vies too, i highly rec0mmend Closer to heaven/ Nae sarang nae gyeotae, i bawl so much in this m0vie. Really heart m0ving. . If you like romc0m, girl you gotta see 100 days w/ Mr. arrogant, i laugh so hard watching it. Well just like you, Jiwonnie really got my attention when I saw her in Secret Garden. And bcoz she is sooo good playing the r0le of GRI and KJW, i crave m0re to see her other w0rks. The only drama that I saw her bef0re SG was Hwang Jin yi. It was aired here in my c0untry around 2007. Although I'm watching it and got impressed with her graceful dance m0ves as a korean geisha, i didn't appreciate her acting at that time. Maybe bc0z s0metimes I skip watching it bc0z it aired on tv quite late at night and I have school the next day so I didnt get to really focus watching Hwang JinYi. . . But after watching Sega, i really got hooked on her so I searched her past projects and learned that she's been appearing in c0untless m0vies and only got few tv dramas. So I first watched m0st of her m0vies and then I watch her early dramas. Unf0rtunately, i havent yet finish watching all the epis0des of WHIB and Damo although I've seen the ending. Its been hard for me n0w to find time watching online since I'm always away fr0m home, i d0nt have much time to sit in front of c0mputer and watch. And only my handphone serves as my t0ol to keep updated on HJW.
Ah, your sis like LSG? I used to like him in Brilliant Legacy and its one of my m0st fav. Kdrama. Although i didnt watch 1 nights 2 days, i heard he's a g0od host aside from being a good singer and actor. . Its so nice to hear him wanting to be pair with our unnie. I bet he is really a SeGa fan and got amaze by Jiwon's acting. HJW being known having g0od chemistry with all her leading men, surely can build a g0od chemistry with LSG. . Remember JGS and Jiwon's chemistry in HJY was so good which made them one of the best couple in kbs drama awards 2006 eventhough she was like 9yrs. Older than him.^^

I really l0ve all of HJW's outfit in Busan kpop super c0ncert especially the black and white dress. Awesomely gorgeous. And her make up, simple but very eyecatching. Her perf0rmance with Double A was really great. Its been a l0ng time since she last perf0rmed on stage, proly she's quite nervous but you can't see it in her at all bc0z she d0es so well up on stage. . Her still photos while MC-ing with KHJ she l0oks really happy and energetic although I find KHJ abit uneasy (i dunno if its only in s0me of the photos posted here but you can see that he seld0m smile)

I d0n't think they'll filming yet c0z there's no news 'bout it. . She's so hardworking isn't it? She d0esn't spend much time resting instead she's preparing again for her an0ther project. It wasn't too l0ng after she finished filming Korea and n0w she has an0ther film to shoot. Well, if her an0ther m0vie is action again i hope after that, she'll take a rest d0ing action film and choose melo as her next project. So she w0nt need to suffer from body aches.I feel bad for her everytime she got injured, action film requires physical strength and although I know she's str0ng, she's still a woman.
