I make quilts, other little quilted items, and I've made aprons (you know, the ones with the ruffles and stuff) in the past (check out my blog in my sig). I really want to upgrade my sewing machine though, it's not bad or anything, I just need one that stitches faster. At top speed mine is still a little slow for me. I have a Singer Esteem II I bought from Target for like $120, it has been a surprisingly great machine! It's has a nice variety of stitches, a set of stretch stitches (for knits & stretchy fabric), good tension & width settings. I'd recommend it to a beginner, I mean if I can quilt on that thing you can definitely sew some nice clothes LOL
For anyone learning to sew just keep in mind and use it as your mantra "Measure twice cut once" & "seam allowance, seam allowance, seam allowance!" It's very easy as beginners to forget you need a seam allowance. I know I did at first.

*sigh* I don't know what to say about all this. It really happened way too fast! I don't think I've ever posted in here, but I've been a 2PM fan for a while now. Jay was definitely a favorite with his charisma and goofy nature. No way in hell would I believe he meant 100% what he said. The evil netizens just took it and ran with it. How dare they try to erase what they did by showing the good posts only when Jay is leaving?! I'm so upset right now. I really fell in love with 2PM and all their personalities. I don't know, if Jay doesn't come back (he doesn't have to be leader but I want him in the group)...*Sigh* I'll never feel the same about the group if he's not there. There'd be an energy missing..I can't cry now, but I feel it coming so I'll stop there.
I hope he gets a chance to rest and get the support he desperately needs right now. I hope he realizes all the support he really does have! Jaebum, FIGHTING!

I love this thing!! It's soo big & roomy and I can find my stuff so easily!
Only quibble is that the big inside pocket doesn't have a zipper to close it!!! That's the only thing...

I change my scents up everyday. I like citrus type smells or apple, so here's what I have
Clinique Happy is my all-time favorite, the orange scent is so fresh to me
D&G Light Blue is right behind that ^
B&BW Perfume in Japanese Cherry Blossom. For me, the B&BW perfumes don't fade much during the day, which is awesome.
B&BW Perfume in Mango Mandarin, does not smell like the lotion, it smells great though!!!

Agreed! In comparison to my other mixed friends, I'm VERY pale for being half black.
But that's my natural color I don't go out of my way to stay out of the sun or buy whitening stuff.
Although I look splotchy if I get too dark...I protect my skin & stay out of the sun for long periods to prevent sun damage I don't care about being white skinned
MOST people look healthier with a bit of tan, if you're naturally pale then that's your natural color, that's looks healthy on you. (Think pale natural redheads... it looks good on them...)
When you go out of your way to falsely make yourself pale, you just end up looking sickly.
People talk about Asians just want to be white and all this. Really?! I don't think so, it's our culture. I think it's part of 공주병 (princess complex)...
We all know that in Asian society the tanner the skin the more you're considered a "laborer"
Only people who worked inside, or were royalty would be so fair and ghost-like. It's all about our cultural perception whether we know it or not.
I guess you're darned if you do, darned if you don't, if you tried to tan then people would say you're trying to be black?! WTF?! It's a lose/lose conversation LOL

Oy, mine is so messy compared to a lot of other peoples...
The right side..the closet goes back into the wall a little bit more so there's more dress pants, shorts & stuff in there too.
So it's pants, zip-up hoodies, & shirts & tanks in order of color & sorta how often I wear them...
Plus there's muliple tanks/hoodies on each hanger...there's no more room OMG I need my own house, I'll have all the closets.

Rimmel liquid liner on top lid
Stila smudge pot in brown on lower lid & water line, then over that with a Rimmel kohl liner pencil...the smudge pot helps it stay on longer...
Pur Minerals or CoverGirl Lash Blast mascara
curl lashes (I know, I know...)
cream blush or powdered blush...buff over that with A LITTLE foundation (makes you glow rather than look all clown like!)
carmex & lipgloss...
If you're talking about a night out with the girls...add:
contacts, eyeshadow primer & eyeshadow before the liquid liner and such...yep

My friends had a commitment ceremony almost 3 years ago...(wow..I just realize how long ago that was LOL)
One I worked with and one was her 'friend' that she would invite to our functions with the work people.
We all knew her friend was gay, but she finally told us about 3 months before the ceremony that she and her 'friend'
were more than friends LOL I remember sitting in my friend's cube and she came in and we were talking
Then she was like, "Hey, um, I'm getting married in 3 months..." Looks at us, we got excited
"Yeah, it's to A...." Looks at us in fear....we're still super excited LOL Then she realized it wasn't a big deal! (yeah it was, but for the wedding not the whole coming out thing LOL)
She said she was scared to tell us but when we reacted as if nothing was new she became brave.
Then she was able to tell our boss and a select few others about it. She instantly was a more happy and open person.
So I say all that to say, make the little steps first...test the waters with the people you trust the most
I went to high school with A LOT of gay people and a lot of them said they started with friends first to get that motivation
Then when they felt they had a good support base they were able to talk to their parents.
It's not fun hiding your personality, but take your time, only when you're ready <3<3<3

I've hung around too many people (including dealers themselves) and know all the bull**** associated with it.
I absolutely agree though, that people misunderstand users...not everyone is bad...
I just happened to run into too many idiots in my lifetime.

Um...hmm...On my computer? I think the last time I looked it was about 14 GB...
My 30 GB mp3 player is 28 GB full, half of the songs on there are not on my computer....
that's not even half of the CDs I've still got to rip, another 10+ gigs at least...
Dang it really is time for a new mp3 player, I need more memory...
**EDIT** Oh snap, I forgot that I've got some old ZIP disks with music on them, plus more on my backup drive...
Jeez, I feel like a DJ or something, how'd I get so much music~! >.<

my brother looks black but he gets the same questions as me. Ppl always think we're married when we're out together.Same with my dad, they think we're married...but everyone says I look just like my dad...
White people generally think I'm Mexican, Black people think I'm Puerto Rican or Japanese
Asians think I'm Hawaiian or Somoan or they say Black & White or Japanese
LOL if I'm with my Viet/Cambodian/Thai/Laotian friends ppl think I'm Thai or something.
Never get Korean and/or Black usually...

I don't care about cosplay kind of stuff, or fob style...if you look good in something do it.
I do think it's a little strange when they wear the traditional clothing...
I think it has something to do with how other people carry themselves in the traditional clothing.
Like, err...gosh I don't know how to explain this...like Paris Hilton or Britney in the hanbok...

Okay...I can't really form the sentences to make this totally clear, but you get what I'm saying?
Other races (and I'm mixed Korean & Black btw) wear it as a costume, where as people from the culture wear it as a tradition.
Yeah, I think that's what I'm trying to say...even like Korean girls in like qi pao (Chinese dress) looks strange to me too

I'm usually very good about my spending but here lately...uh yeah...
The past couple weeks have probably been the worse...
I've sorta been on a ban because I had to pay off my friggin' TV (800 bucks when my old one suddenly died!!!)
But now that's paid for and I think I lost my mind LOL
Let's see, I've bought a bunch of yarn (I knit & crochet), new needles,
TONS of makeup, cleansers, moisturizers, I had an Old Navy splurge a while ago, a new Fossil watch, circle lenses....
today was the impulse buy...but it was smart if you ask me (denial LOL)
328$ Coach purse for 50% off...who could resist that?! (I posted a pic in the What I Bought Today thread)
There's some important events I do have to buy for, my friend's daughter turns 1 next weekend, the following weekend is another friend's bachelorette party (black & white outfit & gift...), then she's getting married in October...*sigh* LOL I'm aslo the type of person who finds a hobby or something and I go full force with it!!! And that means tons of money for something I lose interest in pretty quickly. In all that, I do manage to save money though...so that's good.

I have a little box chocked full of MBD masks. They smell so tasty, makes me want to eat them
My favorite in the summer has to be the Cooling Mask one. Nice, cool & refreshing, wakes you up!
Mixed berry, Yogurt, Apple, and Chocolate are some of my fave year-round ones. I'm not going for whitening so I've never use those types of masks.
