    Oh my flames are truly flaming for our Hunnie now! I watched A Bittersweet Life and the Cut segment from Three Extremes again last night. After recently seeing ISTD too it struck me how versatile Mr Lee is! I knew that anyway but watching three of his films back to back really made me realise how good he actually is!

    Aw I'm glad you like my siggy, I couldn't resist using that delicious picture ;) Oh whatever Hunnie icons I make I will share them here post haste.

    Hi Rubie! Told you I'd pop in and say hello. :-h

    Wow, I didn't know our Hunnie had his handprints in the Hollywood Walk of Fame! One of the first Korean actors too, that's such a awesome achievement. Just one more reason to add to my list of many to visit Hollywood!

    And he won 'Most Outstanding Actor of the Year' too! He's just so loved isn't he? And he deserves to be! He's such a brilliant actor :x

    Most, if not all men, like watching porn/naked girls or whatever, it's just the way they're made. Some girlfriends have problems with this, some don't. After all, it's not unatural or wrong, boys will just be boys. Hell, I've seen couples in my work where the girlfriends actually buy adult mags for their boyfriends. As long as they're only looking and not going out and cheating then I suppose that's cool for most girls.

    However, what you're describing is that your boyfriend has a serious addiction and it's impacting on your relationship in a big and negative way. I'm sure you've told him how you feel but you need to sit him down and really make it sink into his head how awful and self concious it's making you feel that he even has to think of other girls. The fact that you're self concious anyway coupled with him telling you that can't be making you feel good!

    If he wants to be with you and wants to change he'll get help. There's help for every kind of addiction out there and I'm sure his won't be any different. Run it by him and see what he says.

    Oh and on the checking out other girls thing, a slap to the face usually does the trick for those wandering eyes. :>

    Yup! Although by the time the person texts me back the awkward situation is usually over and I'm all cringed out.

    Although, top tip on getting out of strange people talking your ear off in public, text someone and ask them to call you, making up some reason to talk to them when they do or just simply tell them that, yes, there was a strange man/woman engaging in conversation with you. Hey presto, you get to walk away from the stranger and the awkwardness.

    Although never pretend to call someone just to escape, the phone will usually ring nearly blowing out your eardrum and making you hideously embarrassed

    Hi Autumnleaves, I have finally watched the film B) BTW, just a lame observation... at the ending monologue "autumn" was mentioned and in the opening voice-over it was "leaves" :P

    Hmm..., do I enjoy the film? Well, it just got me thinking... this director is a realist. What he protrays in the film is so true in real life esp if it is gang related society. The place where I live is surrounded with violence esp gun violence which is a growing concern and this movie has depicted the realism.

    Director Kim is successful in getting his audience to feel for the characters and to discuss about the story. Although it's a merciless story, yet there is still some sympathy for the protagonist -- LBH character is hard and callous as shown in his merciless killing.... but it's the glimpse of his goodness and moments of vulnerability that made the audience feel sorry for him. Aish, would we still be sympathetic had the actor been a different person :sweatingbullets:

    I didn't even notice that about the beginning and ending monologues janie-hunnie ! Cool obvservation :w00t:

    I'm so glad you watched the film and enjoyed it yes? I think it's an achievment for the director that he portrayed what he wanted to portray realistically (the gang violence, as you said) I think you kind of identify with the film a bit more if it's close to home and personal for you (I know I've felt that way when watching quite a few films) and if portrayed in a realistic way, you know the director has done a good job.

    Yup, I love how layered the characters are and that you are actually given the opportunity to care for them or in other cases, hate them. There were no 2-dimensional characters in BSL and that is another great achievement on the director and let's not forget, the actors parts. I love the fact that Sun-woo was not just a merciless killing machine with no feelings. I'm glad his vulnrerability was shown and sometimes his carelessness (which at moments, led to his downfall) In other words, I'm glad he was shown to be human just like the rest of us.

    Hehe I don't know if I'd still be as sympathetic had Sun-woo been played by a different actor :rolleyes: But I think due to the amazing writing and how great of a character Sun-woo is, I'd probably still feel just as sorry for him. But there will only ever be one Sun-woo and that's our Hunnie :wub: Glad you got round to watching it janie-hunnie :D
