I think this level of celebrity hounding is unacceptable - LJSIU are, after all, entitled to a private life outside of the time they spend in the public domain. But regrettably a whole industry has grown up around invading privacy and selling whatever salacious gossip can be found whether it’s true or not.

I read that Disney+ is disappointed with its revenues in Korea. Well, if you acquire dramas but severely limit where they are aired...you don't get money for them? I know they want to make money *in Korea,* but the fact is, the more advertising you get by word of mouth from both inside and outside Korea, the more people watch, both inside and outside the country.
You n me both, frozentundra!! We all sat willing the dates for the Witch Part II and Big Mouth to happen, because then the wait would be over. Not.
What’s the point of Disney+ having a global streaming platform if they don’t use it for global distribution???
Netflix still has most of LJS dramas in their catalogue, because people still watch them - well, let’s be clear, to feed their addiction!! Doesn’t anybody at Disney research anything??

The more I read about this, the more excited I get. LJS is pushing boundaries and that’s what I’ve been looking forward to. It’s been a long 18 months, but what a body of work is coming our way!

You n me both, H. I’m craving a new performance from LJS - I could probably recite the scripts from memory for most of his dramas I’ve seen them so often!!!
Looking at the timing for this we’ll see more teasers for The Witch but the promo for Big Mouth must start soon - he’ll be front and centre on that. And if it’s received we’ll, as I absolutely expect it to be, Decibel could get a release date behind Big Mouth to ride the wave.

There will be a live event with the director, Cynthia, Park Eunbin, Seo Eunsoo, Jingoo, Sung Yubin, and Jo Minsoo happening soon (Tuesday, May 24 @ 11am KST). It says on the post that participants are subject to change, but it looks like Jongsuk won't be a part of this. I realize it isn't his movie and we were told his scenes were limited, but if they are going to use him in the trailer and stills so heavily, I don't see why he couldn't also be part of this. I'm a little bummed about that.
It looks like there will also be something happening on Monday, May 30th, and then three more things between then and Tuesday, June 7, as well as four more things leading up to the premiere. I'm just not sure if we should anticipate Jongsuk to be part of any of it or not...
I get why LJS would figure strongly in promo’s for obvious reasons, but I appreciate his courtesy to the main characters in not participating in the roadshow. You kinda feel that if he was on the platform the focus and attention would be on him rather than the movie and the main characters and crew.

According to this A-Man Project staff were subsumed into History D&C. I guess it had been running a lean machine so absorbing wouldn’t be a major issue.
Good to see media coverage beginning to ramp.

So excited about this. Disappointed that Kim Da Mi won’t be a main player, but have total confidence in the creative team for their character selection. After all, KDM was an unknown selected from a huge pool in Part I, and what a find she is. Intrigued at seeing LJS in this ambiguous role - this is what I’m hoping to see more of in comin months a he explores dimensions on characters and pushes boundaries.
Things are looking up!!

I actually feel quite encouraged. For whatever reason LJS agency isn’t able to manage media at this point and LJS knows that. Although frustrations are rising across his fan base, there is a global audience waiting to see the projects he’s been working on. Witch Part 2 comes out in June, I saw somewhere May for Disney Big Mouth though that could be a slice of wishful thinking so guess 3Q and I assume that Decibel will be released 3Q/4Q. A PR campaign needs to be planned out and put in place to handle publicity around these - its going to be an intense period of 3-6 months. So being aligned to an agency resourced to handle that is pretty critical. I would hope we’ll see some impact beginning to build in the next couple of weeks…. At least he shouldn’t be MIA

So true. Like a gazillion around the world I am so looking forward to all 3 LJS projects, and the promo that I hope will surround them. Then the trolls will be trampled the in the rush of love.

If media was handled by only one person, then I can see they would be stressed. They would operate in reactive mode constantly rather than working to plan, and as a result seeing more negative feedback even though sources were trying to outline solutions. And I guess choices my have been limited by the rules of military service.
The reaction to his change of image was sensational - I’m hoping we’l see more of that and more relaxed commercial shoots.
Let’s see what tomorrow brings. It can only get better.

Yes, the backlog of dramas/movies waiting for slots is doing him no favours. The timing of setting up A-Man Project was awkward, less than a year before military service so barely enough time for it to fully develop inline with his plans. Then 2 years of being babysat, so probably needs significant effort to kickstart the structure someone of his stature needs to maintain his position.
I hope this alignment works well for him and that he retains control over selecting hi projects. I wouldn’t necessarily be averse to him doin drama alongside D&C artists a long as he wasn’t expected to carry them.

Perhaps LJS is looking to retain control over his rights while benefitting from improved PR handling. It’s 3 years since he started military service. Social media during the pandemic has exploded and needs to be regularly fed and watered. ..

Seriously looking forward to this. Have really enjoyed many of Xu Kai’s performances and am revisiting Arsenal Military Academy now - it’s an excellent ensemble piece. I do struggle with some of his historical projects, but for very different reasons. A lot of characters with a gazillion relationships and a severe lack of knowledge of chines culture on my part mean I really have to concentrate!! Pleased to see Xu Kai pushing boundaries on roles. I think he’s a capable actor whose skills are often underutilised, and Seven Tan is such a flexible and skilled actress. Chemistry should be terrific.
