  1. It ends with an open ending but I know they will be happy on their own paths that they choose.

Fortunately, Hyunji's grandma didn't die! I had enough deaths with Duho and CEO Ma on the same day. I also like that they show the depths of Bbiyong and Aerin instead of just them being 2D characters.

Two Mon-Tues dramas I was watching all ended with everyone being happy at the beach. I was laughing at the contrast of Cotton Candy's car and Mars' car situations and Jaehyuk got plot twisted by Jihan. The plot twist of CEO Cha being a secret Candy was amazingly adorable.

I enjoyed watching the drama even though it's darker than other idol dramas I have watched. It sends a message of never giving up and you can find different dreams different than what you expected. :)

  2. YEAH, HAPPY ENDING!!! :allgoodlol:

i was still sad and shocked over the death of Rabbit Prince and Inspector Jung. Probably more on Rabbit's death because he was saved at first then really get killed minutes later. Eunseo managed to save Hyun but not Rabbit... Let's just pretend the rabbit at the end is his reincarnation (but almost get killed by his sister and brother-in-law tho oops). And Inspector Jung died a hero after living as a villain and he got to reconcile with his son at his last moment.

I was also curious what happened to Tiger Wonsan and even Soeun too. He probably died and if he managed to stay alive, I'm sure he lives in hiding and Hyun probably knows it. Soeun probably stays besties with Hakyung and moves on from Jiwoon.

DamHwi's dream was so cute and her imaginary princess self is basically Hakyung especially with the cheerful running. She somehow survived the poison and it would be nice if it was explained while researching sonangcho, Jiwoon found out the antidote and used it on her. Hawk Hyun becomes the new king and punished DamHwi to paenghyo with the support of the ministers. We see 4 kings in one drama, is there any drama with that many kings?

All the good guys have their happy ending! Hyun is the new king with Eunseo as his bodyguard and Court Lady Kim and Eunuch Hong as his court lady and eunuch. Eunseo is having a blossoming romance with Yeongji. Our couple, Dami/Yeonseon and Jiwoon lives a married life together at the fishing village. Their dynamic is so adorable!

I was happy to spend 10 weeks watching this drama and the actors who bring their characters to life and make us laugh and cry with them. I'm also happy to share my opinions of the drama with my fellow fans. You will probably see me in Moonshine thread (the drama replacing this one) or our leads' next dramas threads.

  3. Sorry to come back here after disappearing for quite a long time :sweatingbullets:

I'm glad that Stella's issues are handled well especially when they do it by themselves without anyone's help. So far, Stella has the most tragic backstory. Make me curious if there will be any for Jenna's backstory because the only thing we know of her past is she's the first trainee of CEO Ma and she was there during the recruiting of the other members.

I'm so happy for them finally getting recognition! Hearing them listing out their achievements totally reminds me of Brave Girls.

I know this drama doesn't focused much on romance but I have a ship for each Cotton Candy members.

Jenna - I'm not really a poly person but you know what, Jaehyuk and Jihan is a set so I want that to happen for the 3 of them (it will be cute to see them bicker over Jenna hehehe) . It's a "all or nothing" situation so I rather want Jenna didn't end up with any of them rather than picking only one.

Stella - That one scene of Ray helped hiding her medications, I'm sold lol.

Elle - I ship her with Troy. The angst will be so good and I want them to reconcile their past issues.

ChaeAh - That cutie Dan looks like he's asking her to go on a date instead of a collab. She's like his muse, right? Why would he make a song that only her can do?

Hyunji - Well I don't know if this counts but I was sensing chemistry between her and Duho. We know what happened but Hyunji doing anything to get his money back makes it looks like she cared about him greatly.

Based on the preview, we can't reach the happy ending without facing another obstacle. I'm sure they will get through it and I will support them in whatever they decide to do after disbanding! :D

  4. I am happy that the Dami's revelation went well and there is no blaming happening. Now, our couple can't be too lovey-dovey because they have to handle a certain snake (and a tiger too). Inspector Jung has turned to good side after evil grandpa went after his precious family.

I'm so glad there is no death in this episode (I'm not sure about the next one though). Hyun gets to live another day because his tiger brother can't bring himself to be cold-blooded like evil grandpa. And we have another scene of badass DamHwi coming to the rescue when her beloved ones in danger.

Things I find funny in Ep. 19.

    1. Ji Woon wore a mask so he will not be recognized as he searches for the poison, then calls Seok Jo aboji.

    2. The mask was still on when the court lady and eunuch were brought to the house of the evil grandfather and court lady immediately recognized him and called him Scribe Jung.

I find this funny too! Jiwoon will suck as a spy lol. Another thing is when Jung Seokjo warns everyone not to move or he will kill evil grandpa, I'm like "Move, Jiwoon and get this mess over with already!"

Prince Rabbit returns to the palace and him and GaSeo (Gaon/Eunseo) entering the room together, I get this idea that their bromance will be so good if GaSeo become Rabbit's bodyguard later. I'm also glad that DamHwi told the truth to both Queen and Grand Dowager Queen.

What happened at the final scene of the episode? Is it Evil Grandpa vs Tiger Brother or them working together? I'm pretty sure them working together but I would love to see the 2 evils fighting each other and our good guys only have to handle one bad guy after that. Evil Grandpa is sure not going down that easy.

  5. Hey guys. I missed last week's episodes because of my vacation so I will just give short overall comments for the 4 latest episodes.

Ep 15&16 - The kisses! The jealousy! Just them being cute and lovey dovey! Big UwU  Ohmagod, I laughed at the scene where DamHwi's admirers gather and Jiwoon and Hyun compete to see who knows DamHwi the best and Hakyung diligently takes note like a student. Then, she appears with the biggest pile of flowers (dejavu, anyone?) and being her usual sweet clumsy side. Also her trying to be a matchmaker for her best friend but it didn't go well.

Commander Yoon's death is so sad :tears:. Just when he and Gaon/Eunseo (GaSeo?) begin to be partners after all that cat-and-mouse chases, he died protecting him. His death finally makes his frenemy, Inspector Jung to re-evaluate his choice in blindly following evil grandpa's orders. Yes, he comes to the rescue when the couple were attacked by Vole Uncle!

Ep 17&18 - Well, everyone knows DamHwi is a woman except for evil grandpa and the girls. This episode really shows how rumors can affect the involved people negatively. The couple needs to distance themselves from each other and Hakyung grows more desperate to bear a heir. Jiwoon even gets forced to marry Soeun to protect DamHwi :tears:

Thank god, Inspector Jung finally gets Vole Uncle killed! Hawk Hyun discovers a lot of shocking information at once: his supposed dead uncle is dead once again, his brother who knows everything is behind the attack and Jiwoon getting married. He confronts Tiger Wonsan and tells him to stop but his brother is long gone. Wonsan even tells evil grandpa about the speculation and evil grandpa doesn't want to believe it but it kinda makes sense at the same time. Yeah, finally the big revelation of Hwi is Dami happened! So, this means Jiwoon will never give up on her!

Dang, the preview is intense! No, we don't need another death after Commander Yoon especially not Hyun :tears: Jiwoon also seems to get executed but I think Inspector Jung will sacrifice himself here. DamHwi drops the big bomb about her identity to everyone. I wonder what made her to do that?

  6. Regarding the poll questions:

    1. Just like everyone else, I want DamHwi to be free from the palace and be happy with Jiwoon. The idea of her being a female ruler is nice but just let the poor girl live her own life. As for the next king candidates, even though Prince Jehyeon is  next in line but in terms of personality and skills, Hyun is the best choice and he will be a great diplomat *cues his smiley threats*

    2. I also think the preview might be misleading. I hope it will be like how Gaon barged into DamHwi's bathroom and seems to aim for her but actually aiming for the hidden gisaeng. Also, killing DamHwi will not solve anything but makes things more complicated on the evil grandpa's side.

    3. I think it will be an open secret among the palace people but most will downplay it to deep "friendship" just because to them, both of them are men. "They are good friends", they said.

  7. I'm late again in watching ep 14 because I was busy these few days.

It's sad to see Jiwoon being so dispirited, working as a scribe. I didn't expect his father to really let him be at the palace after all the stunts he pulled (maybe he does care about his son). Talking about the father, Commander Jung (he got promoted from Inspector, right?) connect the dots about DamHwi's real identity is my personal favorite way in finding out a secret because that requires critical thinking (it's just my inner murder mystery fan talking lol).

Jiwoon is sure the master of surprise events with the lanterns and red ribbons. I'm also a master of turning a blind eye to people being stupid. DamHwi is used to taking walks alone at night so she just assumed there will be nobody there and well, Jiwoon is Jiwoon.

Hakyung is a sweet and cheerful girl who thinks she is living in a Joseon Disney fairytale but she doesn't realize she is actually in the wrong genre and not the main character. I hope she can find her true love, maybe a quiet knight in shining armor/hanbok?

The preview is intense, making me impatient for next Monday!

  8. Just finished watching episode 13. One word to describe it: Angst.

It's nice that Jiwoon said that his feelings for DamHwi never change even with the gender reveal. Them talking about their future domestic life (I wonder why he choose to be a fisherman than his usual physician job?) is so sweet and then she got taken away.*sigh*

The king died but I'm glad she got to know his true feelings. Gaon's real name is Kang Eunseo, that sounds kinda feminine for me. This is my first time seeing the white mourning clothes in sageuk (I didn't watch much). I love the bonding moments between DamHwi and the rabbit Prince Jehyeon/Lee Gyeom.

Our crown prince has become the king. The coronation ceremony is majestic, fitting for a king heh. I hope she can find a way to not be Lord Sangheon's puppet and protect her loved ones.

  9. Late to the train again, so I may not write a lot because most of you guys have said what's on my mind.

The King knows all along DamHwi's secret! I find it to be kinda similar to Hyun. They know the truth around the same time but protect DamHwi in completely different ways, coldly ignoring her (King) and warmly caring for her (Hyun).

That hug and kiss scene! DamHwi, you may think your and his paths are in different directions but nope, you share the same path and he will walk by your side.

The "run away" mission! Just like Jiwoon, I was worried at first that they were bandits and then relieved it's just Commander Yoon and co. DamHwi looks so pretty in pink! Jiwoon, you smooth guy, covering for DamHwi.

DamHwi's confession! I'm glad that she trusts and cares for Jiwoon enough for her to confess her secret. I kinda notice whenever Jiwoon meets DamHwi as a girl, there is always water around (ponds, lakes, rivers).

  10. I'm late to the party again because I just watch episode 11 tonight.

With Jiwoon gone, the fluffiness and cuteness disappear along with him. The only cute scene is the bromance between him and Hyun.

The murder of Jani, Soeun's servant is so infuriating. Like how petty are you to keep holding a grudge against the servant that you look down at? Leave the girl alone but no, he freaking killed her. Even when the team is not complete, DamHwi and Hawk Hyun managed to get the murder weapon. I love that scene where the uncle kneel at Jani's grave. For him, that's worse than a life sentence.

I'm glad that Vole Uncle died. Thank you whoever did this but I hate you that you used this to dethrone DamHwi. The same as evil grandpa, you support DamHwi with evil intentions. With the death of Vole Uncle, Tiger Wonsan revealed himself to be a villain.

Our other killer is on the strike to kill evil grandpa and finds himself another enemy in Inspector Jung. I find it interesting that it feels like a love triangle with frenemies(?) pursuing the same guy lol. And suddenly Commander Yoon protected Gaon instead.

I'm glad that Hyun revealed that he knew DamHwi's secret all this time. It actually frustrates me more that Jiwoon not knowing Hwi is Dami. And we maybe have another person to know her secret which is her own father. I hate when "shady" parent figures are starting to be nicer to their children and then die. (Spoilers usually don't ruin my watching enjoyment, don't worry)

  11. The housemates hijinks are really hilarious in latest episode. Understandably, all the members refused to live with a female doctor but had to agree with the CEO when they experienced the terrors of Taein's sleepwalking behavior. Lol at Taein whispering "I love you" to Wooyeon scared the members the most.

Our girl Yoonjoo is too desperate that she took the job. I also like that Yoonjoo stands up for herself when the guys keep treating her badly. I'm looking forward to the next episodes.

  12. This episode is full of feels. DamHwi, the reason of "we cannot be together" is enough but you had to do make it harsher by saying you don't share his feelings. And the date happened. It's so cute how both of them push each other to do fun things on the date. Their dates are always a sign of farewell.

It was the third option for King's reason to object the marriage which is he's afraid DamHwi will repeat his mistake. I don't know what to think of him, such a grey character. The princess selection begun and Soeun did particularly well. Soeun does make a great princess but she likes Jiwoon. Maybe she will pull out somehow and Hakyung got chosen because her character's purpose is for this plot point.

Gaon strikes again and Commander Yoon is growing more sure that Gaon is the assassin. I actually their chemistry the most especially with them knowing they are each other's greatest enemy. Hawk Hyun is a professional eavesdropper at this point. But it just hurts him more to see the love confession himself silently.

With this situation, there's nothing much DamHwi and Jiwoon can do. I lowkey want them to just date secretly even when she's married but I know they will not do that. That kiss scene in the preview gives me hope that they don't completely give up on their love yet

  13. It's so heartbreaking to see them crumbling down at the mention of disbanding and thankfully they don't want to disband (Elle is unsure). I knew from the start Jenna hiding the truth from the members will explode in her face just when things start to look hopeful.

At first, I didn't understand why Hyunji is searching for those terrible guys but I was touched it was because she wants to get Duho's money back. Duho is ready to do anything for Cotton Candy even when he's not technically their manager anymore. Among the seriousness, Jihan wearing chicken mask is so hilarious.

We finally see CEO Cha in this episode and he's cold as expected. Why I'm seeing implications of something will be going on between him and Elle? Unique first meetings are often the start of romance in dramas. I I never expected it will be Elle who will be close to him instead of Jenna. Let's see which way his story will go.

  14. Our homeboy is lovesick but DamHwi is so calm about it on the outside at least. The candies-giving scene totally feels like Valentine's Day. Jiwoon is so giddy that he receives the candies but realizes it's just friendship candies. I literally burst out laughing at the lovesick diagnosis lol. And this phase always has the someone I know" bs with the guy friend seeing right through it and his sister gives genuine advice.

It's time for arranged marriage for our Crown Prince. I'm curious if evil grandpa's guess is right or did the King know the truth? Hakyung seems sweet and the girl will think she is living in a fairytale but she doesn't know she is not the main character and the Prince Charming is a princess. Two heartbroken bros hanging out by the river and then Hawk Hyun realizes Dami's real identity and first love. Will he play wingman for them or jealous of them?

OMG, Jiwoon confesses his feelings to DamHwi! Thank god, he's not in denial for too long and decides to confront it instead. He loves DamHwi truly not caring about her 'gender' and status. Please DamHwi, be honest and don't push him away. He wants to stay by your side and I know you want that too.

  15. Hello, guys. I watched the first episode right away when it was available because I'm excited for idol dramas after watching Imitation.

I love that each of the Cotton Candy members has their own story. Jenna desperately promoting the group at any chance (that radio is so toxic and the residents' gathering was a success but a failure at the same time ), Hyunji lashing out and hanging out at nightclubs (Hyunji is totally a female version of Hyunoh if you watch Imitation and her dialect is cute), Elle/L(?) seems to give up on the group and focuses on teaching vocal lessons (yes girl, don't give face to that horrible guy), Stella supporting Jenna and doing acting (poor her being seen as nothing but a pretty face) and ChaeAh being a mama's girl (why is this girl behaving like she's underage?).

Manager Duho is so sweet towards the girls even when he's not their manager anymore. So, he has talents in dancing? Interesting. I don't know what to think of CEO Ma, he feels like a grey character. He totally has a special soft spot for Cotton Candy especially Jenna because they're his first group but seems to give up on them and do nothing for them.

Ah yes, we have our third most handsome but cold guy from a super popular group this year. He's sick of being a manufactured idol so he wants to become a real artist by producing his songs (psst, you also can learn from Yoon Taein, another version of you). He looks interested in Jenna's producing talent and he will for sure want to learn from her and maybe a romance will happen later.

  16. Hello, guys! I didn't expect the thread is really new and I will one of the first to comment on the drama's first episode. I look forward to this drama because I loved Imitation and Jun is here again as the male lead. So, you may see me comparing the two dramas. Even from the first episode, I can tell that this drama will be more fleshed out than Imitation.

This time Jun is another cold most popular member of the group named Yoon Taein. I respect him for always producing all LUNA's albums and now taking the risk to try something different. He is sure confident in his talents that he didn't see the need to do special events for the comeback (I personally will choose the instrument switch event lol). However, it went a totally different way than expected. It's so sad that seeing them falling down (not even to the bottom actually) but it hurts more when you have been on the top all the time.

The idea of the male lead having sleepwalking issue is really unique. For a second, I though he will have insomnia even though i have read the plot many times before. It's amazing that he didn't hit anything on his way to the park lol. This sleepwalking resurfaced from his childhood and it's implied to be a trauma, I think. Yoon Jihan is totally his father, right? And there is probably conflict between them.

We don't know much yet about most of the characters. The LUNA members that stand out in the first episode other than Taein are Yoochan and Gaon. Yoochan is the typical social butterfly and Gaon is Taein's fanboy (I find it interesting that they show LUNA has fanboys too). Gaon seems quiet and only talks when it's about his beloved Taein hyung. I'm curious if his admiration of Taein will go deeper than what it seems.

The female lead, In Yoonjo is the typical lively and hardworking female lead which will complement well with Taein's coldness. Her ultimate life goal is to get back her family house and reunite with her twin sister. It's so heartbreaking that her hopes are crushed instantly with her getting scammed and her twin wanting to left behind her past life in Korea. And then we get another twin identity switch like The King's Affection and One the Woman. I actually lowkey interested to see this drama with Kang Sunjo as the FL so when cold meets cold, sparks fly.

I'm still a bit shocked that he behaved the way he did in the palace, though. Bringing out his henchman seemed completely unacceptable and un-diplomatic.

I don't even know how he can be chosen as an envoy with that kind of behavior. Probably just because he's from Joseon.

Jealous Jaeun is so sad to behold :( . Hope the show gives him a sweet, smart girl in the end. He's written as a person of principle and heart...he deserves someone good.

I already imagined him to be with Soeun. I think it can be an interesting dynamic because Soeun seems spunky and feisty which suits his calm and soft-spoken personality.

We know nothing about the other main female character, No Hakyung yet. She seems like the sweet type, maybe. It seems like she will like Lee Hwi. It's also interesting for love rivals to fall in love with each other lol.

Someone mentioned this somewhere else that they just hope Hyun/Jaeun don't die like some 2nd MLs in other historical dramas and I agree with that.

  18. I love the teamwork of the trio to take down the Chief Eunuch. The couple are both beauties with brains and brawn  I also like how intimate the treating wounds scenes to show DamHwi really cares about Jiun. We can't forget about Hawk Hyun who threatens people with sweet smiles. It's kinda sweet and funny that even when he knows someone else has worse injuries, his main concern is DamHwi who is literally unscathed.

I agree with DamHwi that she doesn't need to expose his love affair because that's his private life and the embezzlement stuff is enough to take him down a notch. Well, my guess of the girl being dead is wrong. But it's sad that both of them look "successful" in Ming but not really happy on the inside.

I love the unexpected bromance with Jiun and Gaon. Gaon didn't even let Jiun comes close to DamHwi even if it was just a playful banter lol. With that flashback of young Gaon, the theory of Gaon being the real Lee Hwi is wrong. Even though he seems to take revenge for his father(?), he loyally put his own life on the line to protect DamHwi.

Aww their secret love nest is so beautiful! Jiun's Makeover Project is a success! OMG, the cheek kiss is so adorable. I like how Jiun falls in love with DamHwi twice as a girl and a guy because of her personality. The first love part is mainly important on DamHwi's part because of the hate-love conflict. We just need to wait for them to realize their feeling for each other.

  19. I just finished watching episode 7 when episode 8 is already out.

i love how DamHwi secretly investigated the case and turned the tables making the accusers the accused instead. Even her next role is a lawyer lol. Thankfully Jiun and his friend went scot-free and Jiun even stays as royal tutor at his own free will. Lol at him keeps giving DamHwi praises and twisting the meaning of her Ice Prince nickname into something good. I love the gender reversal of the scene of DamHwi saving Jiun from falling into the pond.

I actually like the chemistry between Jiun and Soeun. I wouldn't mind watching a different drama with them as the main couple. Anyway, it can't beat the first love chemistry of DamHwi and Jiun. I love seeing DamHwi being jealous of Soeun. Miss don't worry, the flowers are for you, you just need to wait for the big picture to be completed.

The Korean envoy from Ming is a certified a**hole. Oversensitiveness and violence are a dangerous combo. I can't even imagine how he behaves back in Ming if he's already like that at a foreign place. It's interesting how they implied a deeper backstory for him with that knife. I think I can already guess what it is, the girl probably died and that's what motivated him to succeed in Ming.

The cheek kiss in the preview  Another thing, when will they introduce No Hakyung properly?

  20. I watched both 5th and 6th episode at once so this post will be quite long.

So Hawk Hyun knew DamHwi (my nickname for Dami that's disguised as Crown Prince) is a girl. He is also a cat lover so he got brownie points for that  but he was kinda scary threatening Vole Uncle while smiling. Lol at DamHwi feeling guilty for badmouthing Jiwoon in front of Hyun, his friend. These friends sure are alike to the point liking the same girl without realizing it.

The inspection scenes were so funny especially DamHwi kept blaming Jiwoon for it. The institute/infirmary were quite messy but it's because they were too busy to clean it properly. I hope they do clean up the places after the inspection and maybe Jiwoon should take care of the institute's cleanliness first before his side project of the abandoned place.

DamHwi has 3 men ready to protect her from any danger. Jiwoon with that hug scene, Hyun's smiley threats and Gaon smashing doors and unleashing swords. But she has her own heroic moment when she saved Jiwoon's friends. I also love the gender reversal where Jiwoon admiring DamHwi being cool while holding flowers.

That Gaon being Hwi theory is interesting. I remember watching the scene of the dead body of Hwi disguised as Dami being shown to the evil grandfather felt like an echo of baby Dami's fake death. I also like the cat-and-mouse chase between him and Commander Yoon. Talking about Commander Yoon, I'm curious of his relationship with Inspector Jung which seems to be like frenemies.

Poor Jiwoon! He has to be the royal tutor for only 2 weeks but there are so many obstacles. First with DamHwi rebelling against him and now his friends and his are in danger. So if he really will be banished, how the romance between him and DamHwi will develop?

  21. I like that the fourth episode is more lighthearted than the previous ones. Is it because Jiwoon is an unlicensed physician that his friends are punished? LOL at Lee Hwi's ridiculous attempts to kick Jiwoon out. But he can't give up when his friends' lives are at stake here. I love his answer to the lotus seed, instead of being tainted by the mud, you can clear out the mud. Him giving Hwi his hat is the better move, learn that Hyun.

I love the animal motifs for the male members of the royal family. While the cousins have cool animals, the half brother is a rabbit and the despicable uncle is a vole (a type of rodent). I will start calling Hyun Hawk Oppa. You guys have convinced me that Hyun does know Hwi's a girl. I keep imagining how he knows that. The cruelest way is him seeing the real Lee Hwi's dead body and accidentally saw Hwi as a girl. Him putting 2 and 2 together and decided to protect her even though he was devastated by his cousin's death. I hope that's not it though.

All the main characters have appeared! It seems that Kim Gaon will push Hwi's buttons, starting with him ignoring the five steps rule. I guess his storyline is him being a spy but once he gets to know Hwi and be close to her, he will truly be loyal to her. Based on their encounter, it seems Hakyung will like Hwi, setting up the love pentagon.

Hyun must have liked the real Lee hwi when they were young but then with Dami it changed to love. We might see a scene of him in confusion and the acceptance of his like for him as more than a friend hence the secret love he keeps.

I can see him being confused about who he likes because he knows both the real Lee Hwi and the fake Lee Hwi. I actually can see one way of him knowing the current Lee Hwi is  not the real one where she can't remember their childhood memories.

I actually kinda want to see Dami's backstory before she came to the palace.

In my opinion, the difference is LH's mom clearly explained the reason and with background story about her twin murdered, LH accepted that's one life from many lives she loves. For JW's dad, his reason still not clear enough for reason to kill and effect to not kill, for sure JW's dad couldn't told JW the reason related to the girl who JW liked

Yeah, I know the action is similar but the intention is different. I-wol didn't know Dami and the real Lee Hwi are twins meanwhile the court maid clearly knows the fake Lee Hwi is a woman. It kinda shows a two-sides-of-a-coin scenario for me. Both have bloods on their hands either for good or for bad.

I'm sorry who Kim Ga On is? Did he already appeared in ep 1 or 2?

As I remember beside Hyun, Lee Hwi also has another cousin, who is he?

Dunno why in ep 3, I thought Hyun already knew that current Lee Hwi's a girl. Because when he prepared the gift, he seemed like a man who prepared surprise gift to his GF

Kim Ga On doesn't appear yet but based on the character description released before the drama airing, he will be Lee Hwi's bodyguard.

You mean Lee Hyun's brother (I don't know if it's the same guy with the despicable uncle at the hunting ground or not) or the half brother?

I don't know exactly if Lee Hyun does know Lee Hwi's a girl. To me, it seems like he likes the real Lee Hwi instead.

Lol, aysha beat me to it

I have watched the third episode and enjoyed it too. Their first meeting/reunion always have Jiwoon drowning and Lee Hwi saving him. It's not enough with her disguising as a prince apparently, there's an evil stepmother in the mix now. The half brother seems nice so I hope him and Lee Hwi can develop a sibling bond that she missed out with her twin.

I can't help compare the murder of the court maid by Lee Hwi's mother to the murder of Dami's court lady friend by Jiwoon's father. It's pretty much the same but one's good, one's bad (?)
