Honestly I agree that Chi Hong putting Ik Jun on the spot was a bit much but I can kind of understand him - I don't think he did this just because he was curious about Ik Jun's answer but maybe because he wanted Song Hwa to be aware? If you notice in the last couple of episodes every time Ahn is trying to get close to Song Hwa Ik Jun keeps butting in by using the excuse that he is her friend(and not showing his true intentions) or when for example when Ahn and Song Hwa were in the elevator in the latest episode he purposfully stuck next to her and touched her shoulder - now from a perspective of a guy who likes a girl but sees another suitor I believe it's logical Ik Jun will act this way, but I think Ahn doesn't want  him to keep using his friendship as an excuse to keep them apart and he wants Song Hwa to be aware of it? maybe? idk really but if I would have been in Chi Hong's shoes I would lowkey be pissed at someone who keeps blocking your advances towards someone but keep saying they are just a friend(but of course I don not condem Ik Jun at all since I completly understand where he is coming from but I was just trying to think from captain's Ahn perspective as to why he would resort to such methods)

I hope I properly managed to get across what I was meaning but English is not my first language so I hope you will understand what I meant

and after the latest episode I can proudly say I still stand by this comment lol I also kind of feel like Song Hwa is starting to sway a little

towards our cute Chi Hong(possibly?). For example at the resturant when he swept a hair that was on her you can see she was suprised but not in a bad way she could have just brushed his comment off but instead she went and tried to change the direction of the conversation and started talking about his condition which I actually see as a good thing since it shows us that she cares for him amd his condition(although it might just be becuase Song Hwa is a superior that cares a lot about her coworkers). Also when Ik Jun asked her to eat a late dinner and she got a text from Ahn although she initially said she wasn't hungry she desided to go eat cnd actively asked if captain Ahn can join.

 

Also can we talk about how exciting it was when Song Hwa and Chi Hong met at the resturant for the company meeting lol I almost jumped of my seat when I saw her entering smiling to Chi Hong waving cutely and that they actually sat together and she wasn't meeting someone else although I was soon disappointed when I realized it was a company lunch but I was still happy seeing them together. I feel like even if she doesn't like him she is definitley developing some sort of warm feeling for him - whether if it is a type of love that lovers share or whether it is the type of aplatonic love that friends share I can't wait to see how it will turn out for everyone And of course as I said in my previous comment if Song Hwa dosen't want him I won't mind snatching Chi Hong to myself lol that cutie would be the end of me.

I think ya'll are taking this too far. This are fictional characters what do you mean by bullied. I have read each comment of this disscussion ever since it opened and I think I can say with a full heart that no one is bullied here. Some people don't agree with certain characters because of their personality and because of love lines they don't support - so what? Someone can say they dislike for example doctor Jang because her character's personality doesn't sit with them well and that is completly fine. Humans are all different and it is only natural for people to have different opinions.

 

I don't think I have seen anyone disrespect any character and I think people have every right to express their likes and dislikes regarding this characters because this is all FICTION.

 

Sorry if this seems too harsh and it is not directed towards you personally but I see this comments starting to pop up about how people "bully" characters and honestly it makes me feel uncomfterble and makes me to not want to comment since I might get backlash one day if I express my honest opinion - we don't all have to like the same things and the same personalities and it is alright to say you disagree but to say bullying... I don't know maybe it's just me being sensitive to this wording but I was honestly sad and hurt when I saw that. It's alright if you like a character it's great but there is a way of disagreeing with people - saying someone "bullies" said character because they express their dislike about her is honestly degrading and hurtful and it shows you can't take criticism well in my opinion.

 

I really like this disscussion usually but I am considering to stop posting here now. Sorry if this was suddenly a very heavy topic that I brought up to this usually peppy discussion but I was contemplating if I should write this comment for a while and I decided I would now after a lot of thinking so I hope you recieve this with an open heart and try to be more understanding of everyone.

ya'll are waiting for Ik Jun to find out about Jun wan and Ik Sun but what if the big reveal will be in the time period of when they are broken up(as some of us have speculated they will end up breaking up for a while because of Ik Sun's past trauma). Which will make it a lot sadder cuz Ik Jun will need to comfort Jun Wan cuz he will probably take it really hard. Just speculation though I might be completly off lmao

Well I'm not really a Jeong Won - Jang shipper but I wanna say something to most of you who are stressed that Jeong Won would reject Jang's offer for eating out together:

 

It might be a good thing if he rejects her. They clearly said he never say no to anyone who wants to eat with him or go out cuz he is such a nice guy and maybe him saying no to her actually shows that she is different then other people in his heart(may it be a romantic way or not). And he might reject her because he dosen't want a possible relationship to be in the way of him becoming a priest(lol this dude sure loves god) and becuase this is gonna be a long series - who knows maybe in the long run it will go well for this two

 

but idk really, I don't really mind this couple but from the 1st episode I was kinda hoping Jeong Won and Song Hwa would get together idk why I just feel like although we haven't seen any scene of them two alone you can see how much he cares for her in his actions(like in the latest episode he let her seat in the front seat of Jun Wan car because it is less cramped so he literally went out of the car and offered her to take the sit and also when everyone was talking in the resturant about Seok's problem and only Song Hwa didn't day anything he asked for her opinion) anyway yeah idk really but I just like the combination of their personalities, although I certainly wouldn't mind our captain Ahn and Song Hwa getting together cuz he is just the biggest smiley fluff ball of a human and he's really kind and godddd I love guys with pretty smiles I'm hooked lmao. And I believe his tempermant like Jeong Won would also match her well.

 

BUT ANYWAY MOVING ON FROM THIS LOL

I just hope for everyone's happiness whoever they end up with that is their life and I will love and embrace it no matter what because who I think is right for a certain character might not be the cup of tea for others which shows how different humans are and how vast our opinions are on different subjects and since I am not one of the characters I think it is not my place to criticize them.

 

Alsoooo I wanted to point out that a new character is low-key coming up - I don't remember her name but I believe she is a resident or something(the one that looked over captain Ahn's operation and said she was nervous and also switched shifts with him) idk if this is a possible love line for our Chi Hong or just a platonic supporting friendship but whatever that is - I'm all for it.

Since I watched ep 6 yesterday I thought about a couple of things I wanted to add after what I said yesterday(I will put here what I said yesterday as well):

So what I said yesterday was baasically that I agree with other comments about a couple of things - 

 

someone said this: "Am i the only one that ships Jeong Won and Song Hwa? I was drawn to them since the first episode but not much interactions were being shown. Jeong Won kinda feels like Taek for me who some of us actually didn't expect to be a possible love interest for the female lead. No offense meant but i don't really like Gyeo Ul for Jeong Won✌."

and I also talked about how I was happy the show didn't drag on Song Hwa telling the guys about their disease and how I liked their reaction since it felt that altough their reactions really differ - it all felt so genuine and realistic which I like someone is in denial(Ik Jun) someone is extremly expressing his feelings as a form of stress(Jun Wan) others show concern by trying to make efforts and call places so they could know the answer and calm down(Jeong Won and Suk Hyung - I put them together altough they are also a bit different from each other). So very realistic reactions which I really like.

 

now to some new points I thought of after getting a good night sleep:

 

1. Everyone says Jeong Won doesn't care enough about dr Jang because he didn't come to visit her - but what if he came to visit when dr Min Ha was asleep on Jang and in the future we will suddenly see a flashback to that lmao, I mean you never know with this writers and although I do not really support this ship I couldn't skip this line of thought of this possibility because things are not always the way they seem.

 

2.It's quite farfetched but I think Ik Sun's trauma might be kind of related to captain Ahn. In the latests episode some characters brought up the fact that Ahn Chi Hong suddenly left his military service although he was in a supposedly good position there. Some also said it might be ptsd and I started thinking that maybe it is related to what Ik Sun has been through(if you remember in the episode she was introduced we could see scars along her stomach) since they are good friends and thus he decided to leave the military or he might have also gone through something of that sort in the military.

 

3. Jun Wan-Ik Sun ship might sink because of her past trauma. I saw a lot of comments talking happily about how Ahn Chi Hong and Ik Jun were speaking about Ik Sun's past trauma and how it would be hard for her to be in a relationship but then she agreed to Jun Wan over the phone. Trauma is not something you just one day forget about - it is probably deeply ingraved in her heart whatever it was and I think it is too early to be happy because I feel like trials are about to come for this couple in the next couple of episodes. Maybe they will break up becuase she isn't really ready yet for a significant other but in the end of the series they will be end game - I don't really know but that are my thoughts currently.

Agreed, I was really happy she didn't drag it on and just told them. It was very realistic - not only her telling her friends first but also the way her friends reacted, they all reacted differently but you can feel how genuine their concern was
