^Does he do any of these things to other girls? ie give them long hugs , text them, talk to them for 2hrs a day!?, Girl there is deffinetly something more than meets the eye haha .
well he is always talking to girls, but from what i have seen, he just gives them hugs and chit chats a bit, but definitely not for 2 hours a day. I am in his room from 11pm-1 or 2am almost everyday. He woke me up couple of times just so he can get breakfast with me. When he texts me and i dont respond back immediately, he immediately comes to my room asking why i didnt answer his text message. About 95% of the people in the 3rd party says that he likes me.... but for some reason, i dont think so. I think he is being VERY friendly. He seems more along the lines of, i dont want a girlfriend but I have a close girl friend that I can have physical contact with, kind of a guy.

so i made this male friend who is an athlete at my school. I thought he was really cute at first with a nice personality and he has this charisma and charm about him that woos all the girls. First thought when i saw him? PLAYER! he just flirts a lot and apparently, he knows he can get girls. For some reason though, we became really close as friends. He texts me everyday around the same time, I go over to his room (since we live on the same floor in our dorms), and we just talk for about two hours everyday. I dont even know where the time goes, but two hours goes by really fast. I'm actually a huge fan of the sport that he plays in, so i have been to every single one of his game and supported him. I always waited for him after the game and he would greet and hug me every time. Lately, this past week, he has been showing a lot of physical affection towards me. We would wrestle around a lot and he would hug me from behind and lean his head on my back, etc. Our hugs has been lasting longer too and it's not even a normal i-will-see-you-later kind of a hug, but more of a holding on and not wanting to let go kind of a hug? I dont know if it was just me, but i definitely felt that. He would not let go, so i had to say "ok let go now". He always texts me when he gets back from drinking at a party and asking me to come to his room, etc. The wrestling has become a bit aggressive these past days, so people next door kept complaining to quiet down. Some even think that we are having rough sex
. There is even this joke that he says with his teammates saying that i'm his best friend, etc. All of his sport friends know me by now.My thing is... I dont see him anymore than a really close good friend. It's not like I'm going to do anything about it or anything. My friends saw his behavior towards me and they kept telling me that he liked me. After hearing this from a 3rd party, I'm actually very curious now. Is he merely just being very friendly towards me and just seeing me as a good girl friend or might there actually be something? Thanks! :-)

I was in the same pickle jar as you are in.... I hung out with a guy friend who I havent seen in years and my boyfriend got mad at me for it calling it a "date", when both of us have s/o's and it was the FIRST time meeting each other since high school.
Anyways, I think it comes down to insecurity/trust issues. However, her drinking beer from your cup and you two watching a romantic comedy together like that definitely would bother your gf. I would be jealous if I saw another girl getting "close" to my boyfriend even if they were friends because in my head, just hanging out a lot MIGHT cause one person to develop feelings for each other even though that isn't the intent to begin with. It might naturally happen and that can cause major insecurities for the girlfriend.
Like someone else suggested, I don't think making your girl roommate and gf hang out would be a great idea. That would just make the situation even more awkward.
