    WOWWWWW, now we talking, and we can guess how much Alibaba invested in their first ever drama-no joke man. C-ent sure knows how to step up their game in becoming one of high profile drama well received to non-Chinese community-they provide the fund, and Korean contributes with their idea-win win situation.

    I think that scene maybe for her in drama CF, them bumped into country bumpkin cow boy Zhoumi-sure hilarious.

    Hi nocturne. Thanks for your feedback! I love discussing what roles Dahae should do next because it distracts me from worrying about her personal life right now!

     

    Yup, no problem, love to discuss this with you here.  Just looked at your list.  I think the single mother role she played before in Robber.. but I didn't watch it because the make up style of both was not attractive to me so I can't really elaborate but I think the pairing with Jang Hak is not a high powered love pairing in Robber.  They have more chemistry in Chuno then again not as much in IRIS2.  Just in my opinion they don't suit as lovers.  Yes I understand the rating for Chuno is like crazy but I don't think it was the love line.  Then we all know who she has the most chemistry with but she can't act with him all the time though.. LOL.  

    I agree with #1....  hum... but then Chinese people don't like Korean period dramas with real historic characters  that much...  Like queen SeonDek?  

    #2 It made me thought of the drama written by the same writer of flower fairies.  The name of the drama is new tales of gisaeng.  I am sure you'll agree with me that DaHae will also be perfect in this role....  It's played by ImsuHyan her co-star in IRIS2 .

    I don't mind Dahae doing a rom-com next but to me rom-coms come in different genres. I would like to see her portray a somewhat underdog character similar to the ones played by GHJ , i.e. funny, down to earth, relatable type vs. beautiful, priviledged type.

    The Alibaba drama role will work for Dahae if she manages to get the audience to root for her character (despite playing an actress with a rich dad). Like having a bad hair day, showing her bare face, mocking the filming of kiss scenes, having a wardrobe malfunction, etc will be fun to watch! 

    Honestly I don't want her to play a bright, funny down to earth role... LOL  and I want her to play mysterious and smart!!  Although yes she had play rich daughter about 2 times but she has played mostly poor!!!  So I don't want her to play poor and struggle like the grass root type anymore.  

    She played rich but un-favored privileged daughter in EOE, had a good start but became minimal

    She played rich, funny, true to herself, struggling and hopeful but not smart, and weak heiress in HK, good acting memorable role, but not a breakout role.

    and the rest she played poor and grass root.  The break out (at least by same time slot competitors) for this class is Miss Ripley but plot not mainstream or favored by public AND JYL for MG and I am not sure about Hello miss, it's in between.  

    Anyone wants to add more to the rich/privileged vs poor/grass root types?

    Ops. I forgot green rose.  she played rich there too but weak - also good acting memorable but not a break out?

    Yes, @sassygirl I don't think kimTaeHee is such a bad actress like how k-ent news talked about her.  I do however think DaHae is more talented in this area, but I do enjoyed KimTaeHee's dramas and especially this new one yong pal.  For me, as long as I enjoyed the drama that means I am approved of the acting... I don't judge based on certain systematic processes or whatever, I think the audiences can judge themselves.  So it's just like some reports are overly critical on acting, some on plastic surgery some on appearance or background or scandals... no one is perfect.. Just a small group of people needing something to gossip about or attack and make it a fuzz on public doesn't mean the majority agrees.  

    The thing with DH is that her dramas after MG, her characters are not really well developed or the plot is not clicking with the audiences.  Actually even worst for DW.  I think they need better career coaches who understand their weaknesses and strengths ...  They fell short of having another breakout role with a well written plot where people can identify them as their character immediately.  

    Something to rant,  I realized that although in drama land, most of the time,  the male lead can usually shoulder the whole weight of the drama, that's why they have so much say and can actually decide on who they want to partner with (with exception of course) ... Example - Joo Won deciding CKH for 7th grade Civil Servant, LDW inviting DH for HK , JH agreeing to have DH on IRIS2, but again and again having the right partner that fits the role is sooo important.  Joo Won is really skillful in picking a script (maybe because of his manager's keen eyes), but having CKH acted with him was a mistake because the audiences said that they have 0 chemistry..  now Joo Won is doing Yong Pal with KimTaeHee and the audiences like their chemistry.   I am going to say that if they pick say Gong Hyo-Jin, I think it's not going to work as well although we all know GHJ is a good actress.  If they didn't pick KimTaeHee, Song Hyo Kyo is a good replacement because in TWTWB, she had played this mysterious, unfortunate and beautiful locked up ice princess but of course SHK will probably not accept because it's a character she had played.  

    Another perfect example is HK.  If not for the chemistry between DongHae, the drama will probably not be able to keep it's lead on that time slot because at the end, no body cared for the plot anymore, it's so unbelievable.  

    I really really wonder how they determine if the 2 leads have chemistry or not, it's so mysterious on how they select them.  I think it's an art because it doesn't sound like a science.. haha...

    If she's doing this drama with alibaba, i am all for it, however I do hope the story line will be different because she already has several romantic comedies under her belt.  so it's not really helping her acting in a way.  Also, romantic comedies are becoming too prolific lately.  She's actually a very versatile actress I don't know why people keep making her do certain genre.

    Hi Chingus...happy to hear about the latest news regarding alibaba drama.  

    Dahae.. please go for it..... because working for Ma Yun? Everyone's dream and I am sure if the 2 companies do click, DH will be the leading actress.  On the other hand I will be very happy too if she gets good scripts from Korea... However, I do agree with ap that for some reason when it comes to DH, things don't always turn out as expected.  maybe it's because of her agencies etc... not sure.  It's complicated in the Ent. industry anywhere.  

    Not too crazy worry about her weibo fans since she last drama was more than a year ago.  It's normal to lose some fans.

    @smazz - Honestly I suspect some of the antis on DaeHae are from Wookie's long time?? fans.  They don't like fans mentioning the 2 together because they believe it creates rumors of him dating and not good for Wookie's career.  This is the most absurd thing of course because look if there is a problem ... Wookie and his agency or DH's agency will come out to deny it, fans have no right to speak on behalf of either Wookie or DH.  It's like LYF's case, DH's agency come out to deny it so what's their problem trying so hard to help "clean" Wookie's name and trying to act police?    

    But I do not want to start leaving hate messages on DH's weibo because the more you talk back to the antis the more they get back on DaHae.  But I will just keep reporting the antis' messages!

    hello... shippers... me just popping to say hi and long time no see... thanks for the girls to keep things updated here, been silent since ouli couple is so quietly enjoying their time NOT WORKING... kekeke.. :blink:  But actually feeling a bit expecting for Wookie's new drama... new station new director new writer and new co-star!  

    Hopefully it's a good beginner for Wookie... next year and ouli couple.

    LOL at wookie on the first gif.... that's how he would have disappeared and Dahae at the 4th gif... 

    Where is our bed scene BTS ????????????????????????????????  Why why why it's not included.   ¬¬

    Although I suspect it's gonna be really steamy hot if they do include that.  But if they filmed it, wouldn't it be the most wasted footage of k-drama history??????  :S  

    I really wonder if the DVD has some uncut scenes???
