  2. So I was thinking about something...

I think it's SO ironic that the reasons SO wanted the throne turned out to be the things that didn't come true after all. For instance, these are the main reasons why Wang So wanted to become king:

    1. To have Hae Soo

    2. So he could stop hurting those that he cared about (i.e. Eun, SU, etc.)

But what in the end did the throne bring him? It did not fulfill those wishes SO had hoped for when he became king. Does he have Hae Soo? Well, you could say that he does right now, but we all know that's not going to last. He can't have her because she's not queen-material and he can't have her because she's becoming disenchanted. Why? Because he has the throne now.

He wanted the throne so he could stop hurting those he cared about but, ultimately, he ended up hurting the one person he cared about the most: HS.

Isn't this all just so ironic? Makes me sad :/

I can't guess the ending and the future episodes. This drama seems to surprise me when I thought it is going this way, it turns another way. I thought initially that the slow build up in the beginning episodes will lead to an epic war on throne with a bang but the story seems to push and pull, like it is continuously building up the tension one after the another. It pulls you in and intrigues you.

I seen the 6mins long trailer that Hae Soo will rewrite history and Goryeo's fate lies in her hands. This is already set in stone in the beginning of the drama with her faithful encounter with Wang So and both falling in love with each other. But more glaringly is in Episode 13 where she asked for Wang So's help and tell him everything despite King Taejo asked her not to tell anyone.

One thing though that particularly bothers me is the fact that Wang So did not know Hae Soo actually fell in love with Wang Wook before him. He thought that they just have a relative relationship. Remember, this guy only sees Hae Soo so I do not know how this will work out. Whether or not if Wang So feel betrayed and if it is so, I wonder how their love will work out. The Purple Prince seems a bit iffy. And his relationship with Chaeryung still have not revealed yet. I think he will play apart in affecting Wang So and Hae Soo's relationship.

I especially can't wait for these two scenes!!! Lee Joon Gi in his black robes majestically riding a horse across a wide field with the backdrop of a mountain is a magnificent and grandeur scene in itself. I guess that he and his people (some clans that will work with him) are on the way to wage war against Wang Yo during his reign.

And also this breathtaking and absolute phenomenal cinematography/scenography. I think there is a noteworthy symbolism over this scene. I guess that it symbolizes him going to meet his one and only eternal love - Hae Soo. Maybe happen near the ending. I cant guess how the episodes will work out so i may be wrong but i just want to add something about this solar eclipse symbolism.

Solar eclipse occurs when the Moon completely engulfs the Sun. Moon Goddess is Haesoo where she shines in the darkness of Goryeo and Wang So's heart. While taeyang, the Sun is Wang So. He shines so bright like the star (Sun, he has long reign as a King) but only with the Moon that he feels complete. Both the Sun and the Moon are meant to be apart like the day and the night but only during Solar eclipse they meet and they are together. Both Wang So and Hae Soo are crossed lovers. With the ring of the Solar eclipse starting to erode with the passing of the cloud and with Wang So marching across the Solar eclipse i think it leaves viewers thinking that despite the Solar eclipse starting to gone meaning they will be separated with Ko Ha Jin transport back to modern world, Wang So is marching to meet his one and only eternal love - Hae Soo. So I think there will be a scene in the modern world where the two will meet again. At a different world and different time they will be together!!!

Haha! Again I may be wrong because like I mentioned in my beginning sentences, I can't predict how the drama will goes but it makes things more exciting!!! One moment I am so riled up like the ending of episode 12 where I was shocked with Baek Ah getting the attack for the sake of Woo Hee but in episode 13 i felt down maybe because Wang So feels down. Haha...I guess soon I will not post much about this drama because I do not want to get too attach to it..the drama will come to an end. My heart can't take it. :bawling::bawling::bawling:

I think the first picture scene actually happened in episode 12 or 13 and the solar eclipse scene with the orange-ish background was in the first episode.

  4. Spoiler

I never in a million years would think that Wang So would become my all time favorite character. In fact, I watched like 29 minutes of the first episode and was like, "K, I'm done. This is stupid." I don't even know why I started watching again but I'm sure glad I did :D .

I think LJKs portrayal of Wang So is just perfect and I also think that his appearance also fits very well too since LJK kinda has sharp eyes that are filled with a wide range of emotions. I love that Wang So was an injured person before and how selfless he is and how considerate and understanding of a person he is despite his tragic background. K-dramas and Asian dramas in general always work so hard to make their main characters so perfect. Like I bet if I were to ask u guys who ur favorite character of all time BESIDES anyone from SH would be someone who's pretty much flawless. And while WS does seem flawless right now, I think we all know the power of the throne will change him. And that will make him an imperfect character. Which is also the reason why I don't think the directors or writers will make him someone SO imperfect (like in the c-version he literally told Ruoxi he doesn't care if she leaves him, but of course regrets it). You think NETIZENS are gonna be ok with that? Hell to the no. They can get pretty crazy so I like well all still love LJK and WS a lot.

i don't wanna see him change ugh but it definitely would make a great impact

  5. Okay someone help me out. Can someone explain like the symbolisms of the Wook-Soo scenes from the first confrontation of her "going to make tea for the King" but also the one after where she's all "you're not the same person". I feel like I'm missing something. Like what's the symbolic meaning of how the 8th prince lied to her. And by the lie I mean how he told her the Crown Prince was in another city than what he was actually in, as said by Wang So that the prince was in Hubaekje but Wook told Soo a different place. I haven't seen any comments about that but what's the meaning of that? Also tell me all the symbolic meanings cause I feel like I know but I really don't wanna miss anything

Edit: Also another question: Can someone help me connect how the 8th prince would be using Soo to kill the 4th prince? I didn't understand how the 8th prnce was gonna use HaeSoo to kill the 4th prince.
