“Hwayugi” Cast Works Hard But Has Fun On Set In New Behind-The-Scenes Stills
With just two episodes left of tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Hwayugi,” the production staff has released new stills of the cast having fun when the cameras weren’t rolling.
When cameras were rolling, they worked hard and focused on perfecting each scene despite the cold weather outside, but in between scenes, the cast would constantly make jokes and burst into laughter. From Lee Seung Gi to Cha Seung Won, Oh Yeon Seo, and FTISLAND’s Lee Hong Ki, the photos show how the set of “Hwayugi” is one that is full of smiles. Lee Hong Ki is even said to have earned the nickname, “The smiling angel of ‘Hwayugi.'”
SpoilerThe main cast of Lee Seung Gi, Cha Seung Won, and Oh Yeon Seo stepped up to rehearse their scenes multiple times before filming began in order to make their interactions as natural as possible. They also monitored all of their scenes afterwards to make sure that they got the best shots.
Spoiler“Hwayugi” will be airing its last two episodes this weekend on Saturday and Sunday at 9 p.m. KST.

Lee Seung Gi And Cha Seung Won Share Serious Conversation In “Hwayugi”
SpoilertvN’s weekend drama “Hwayugi” has released previews of the upcoming episodes!
Lee Seung Gi plays Son Oh Gong, the decadent demon who daringly goes against The Grade Jade Emperor. Cha Seung Won plays Woo Ma Wang, the ‘gentler demon’ who practices 1000-year asceticism, seeking to attain immortality. Both demons are roommates who constantly squabble and keep each other in check, whilst bringing laughter to the viewers with their mischievous jokes.
Spoiler
Previously on Episode 15 and 16, Ah Sa Nyeo (Lee Se Young) faced danger when Woo Ma Wang was sent to kill her. She deceived him by provoking him to think whether Princess Iron Fan’s child really died, creating tension between Woo Ma Wang and the Heavens. Following this, feisty Ma Wang, who feared on getting weaker, shared with Secretary Ma his method of gaining strength and said, “All I need to do is to catch Sam Jang (Oh Yeon Seo) and eat her,” seemingly to be getting into a conflict with Son Oh Gong.
SpoilerIn the stills, Woo Ma Wang obtains a traditional crown-shaped Geumgango and shows it to Son Oh Gong. Son Oh Gong seems intrigued yet worried about the traditional Geumgango that was larger than what he was currently wearing. Through the stills, Woo Ma Wang convinces Son Oh Gong passionately, creating curiosity about what’s to come.
The great chemistry between Lee Seung Gi and Cha Seung Won constantly brought laughter to the set of the drama. As expected, the duo started to be playful when they were introduced to the new prop. Lee Seung Gi and Cha Seung Won compared the modern and traditional Geumgango, while taking turns to try it on. However, as soon as the camera started rolling, both actors rapidly transformed into their characters and got into a serious conversation, astonishing the staff members.
SpoilerThe previews keep us on the edge as Woo Ma Wang has the intention to devour Sam Jang as soon as he successfully removes the modern Geumgango that Son Oh Gong is currently wearing. What is the actual reason for Woo Ma Wang to obtain the traditional Geumgango? Will the duo continue to maintain their bickering bromance?

Oh Yeon Seo Tearfully Opens Up To Lee Seung Gi In Next Episode Of “Hwayugi”
On the next episode of tvN’s “Hwayugi,” Oh Yeon Seo and Lee Seung Gi’s characters share an emotional heart-to-heart!
In newly released stills from the drama, Jin Sun Mi (played by Oh Yeon Seo) calls Son Oh Gong (played by Lee Seung Gi) and asks him to meet her at a bar. While under the influence of alcohol, Jin Sun Mi tearfully bares her heart to Son Oh Gong, who listens closely with a solemn expression.
According to the production staff, both Lee Seung Gi and Oh Yeon Seo were thrilled at the realistic set for the scene. The two actors were especially excited about the bar food that served as props during filming, and they reportedly chatted about their drinking habits while preparing for their first take.
SpoilerSpoiler
On the previous episode of “Hwayugi,” Son Oh Gong learned that he was tragically fated to kill Jin Sun Mi. However, he firmly rejected his destiny and resolved to protect Jin Sun Mi at all costs, even if it meant putting his own life at risk.
To find out what Jin Sun Mi has to say to Son Oh Gong—and what has him looking so somber—tune in to Episode 18 of “Hwayugi,” which airs on February 25 at 9 p.m. KST!

10 Hype Pre-Kiss Moments From 2017 K-Dramas
One of the most exciting moments when watching a K-drama series is the moment when the two main leads finally lock lips. The anticipation leading up to this big moment can drive viewers to the edge of their seats. Sometimes it’s the moments prior to the actual kiss that are far more exciting and romantic. It can be the look in their eyes, an innocent little touch, or a heart-stopping romantic line; whatever it is, the eager moments right before the kiss scene are moments that almost always have us begging for more.
Here’s a look at 10 K-dramas from 2017 that featured these epic pre-kiss moments:
Nam Ji Hyun and Ji Chang Wook: Suspicious Partner
That moment where No Ji Wook (Ji Chang Wook) grabs the hand of Eun Bong Hee (Nam Ji Hyun) really makes the viewers anticipate their kiss. With Bong Hee expressing her love and Ji Wook being unsure about his feelings for Bong Hee, it’s easy to wonder when they were going to finally get a kiss, which is why the moments leading up to this particular scene is so epic. The affectionate hug and when he closes his eyes just seems to create this sense of longing and need.

Watch: Ji Chang Wook Shines In Uniform In Promotional Video For Pyeongchang Winter Olympics
Actor Ji Chang Wook gave fans a surprise update by appearing in a promotional video to show support for the upcoming 2018 Pyeonchang Winter Olympics.
The Republic of Korea Army posted a video on their YouTube channel with the title, “A private who filmed a movie when we asked him to show his support for the Olympics.” The tongue-in-cheek description for the video also reads, “Sensible Military Life full of wit and sense. Look at that acting.. He could be a professional actor.”
The video is short but fun as it shows Ji Chang Wook being asked by his senior officer, “How many days are left?” He isn’t quite sure how to answer the question until one of his fellow soldiers sneezes with a sound similar to “Pyeongchang.” It is then that he confidently replies, “There is one week left till the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. The Republic of Korea Army supports the Pyeongchang Olympics.”
Ji Chang Wook quietly enlisted in August 2017 and after basic training, he was assigned to the artillery brigade at Cheorwon County of Gangwon Province. He is set to be discharged on May 13, 2019.
