JY receiving a newly established award at Billboard. Invited to Cannes. Invited to Milano. New movie with famous director.
ZZ Light concerts with own songs. This will come to an end soon, he can't sing them forever.
There is a lot going on behind the scenes. We see the end of an era coming.

@bearology Sorry, it wasn't meant funny at all. I still don't know what to make out of this. And I'm with @Lucy Vaganova. It is saddening reading all the comments on IG. A lot of politics and patriotism from all sides. I think what motivated them to post this is also work related. They are already in trouble and they plan their future in the cultural field. They need to obey by the rules. (I live in a country where there have been times, when artists only could survive if they adapted themselves.)
Enough, it's not something to be happy about.

I usually avoid it to analyse real people.
Where did we see the sparkle in ZZs eyes. When he was absolutely open, full of trust and affection.
Maybe a new experience in his life. He is a young man developing his personality. Now life has tought him a few hard lessons. But this is a requirement in order to become a compassionate, caring and loving person.This gives you a new kind of self esteem - we see a new ZZ. His tears in Seoul came as no surprise. He will become more experienced and will take on more challenges and grow with the tasks. (and so will JY). His conduct at more formal events is appropriate. To listen to other people's opinion and to overthink decisions is for me in no way something negative as long as you finally decide yourself.-

Under the current circumstances they must distance themselves from the CP image in order to go ahead.
Friendship is a very precious thing. They are idols and also individuals. And as such it is human to care about them.
Are they still willing and able to keep their friendship. That's in my opinion what many worry about.
As long as there are "FBI-agents" and fancams everywhere and fans fighting their wars, it is impossible to show it publicly. It is a vicious circle.

I never accused anyone of anything. How could I. Noone here knows the truth.
All I say is, that it is a sad thing, that because of a mixture of many reasons things regarding Addicted are no longer the same as they were when this thread started.
I was a little provocative, sure.
The most important thing is, that the sparkle in ZZs eyes is back and JY seems to be happy too.
Do you know how many young people struggle with their lives, or must fear death even for who they are.
I bet, that a lot of them, who saw the series were affected in a positive way. And some were also affected because of what happened in the past weeks.
Who did what is not my concern nor my business. I strongly believe that everyone takes decisions in his/her live because he/she wants to do it in the best possible and positive way according to their inner truth.
I was not happy how things turned out here. There are times to celebrate, to delulu but there are also times for mourning.

What kind of ban is everyone talking about? There is an official ban of Addicted. From the censors point of view quite reasonable. There are hot scenes, if there would have been a season two, there would be rape, some more hot stuff and most importantly members of the army would celebrate their wedding with all the common rites (if I see this correctly) and more. That both are individually banned is nowhere officiallly confirmed. All things that would promote the series or BL things are not possible, including doing related stuff together. But I don't see a individual ban for them as a single person. JY is very active in his field, and noone who didn't know where he came from will relate him to anything BL when watching his shows. The same goes for ZZ, he is promoted by Enlight, now subbing in a new anime, he is doing a lot of commercial stuff, has his own concert tour singing his songs, tho rearranged and alone. The fact that CCTV dropped him, may well be because they didn't like his performance. As professionals they are not restricted when acting alone. There is no need to do things together, each has got individual talents, that is fine.
But for me there is another aspect, which makes me sad. It is on a personal level. They were as close as it can get. Now I see nothing that indicates, that it is still there. For all the CP stuff that is considered as proof there is a logical explanation.
What happened? -
Two people who are related share and unite.
If both want this, they will.
If not, then not.
If they want to show it to others, they will.
If not, then not.
Neither badmouthing them, nor wishfull thinking will change anything.
Things can stay as they are, or change.

At least the editor (and D&G or their team) know exactly who JY is. They know about the ban also. I think they want to help both of them ( like anyone from the "community" would do, I guess, they did nothing wrong), ZZ is also wearing D&G a lot. But this is meant for a more international clientele, which is very interesting. Impossible in China.

Whatever the reasons are which led to the current situation - for me a mixture of personal, commercial and regulation-induced facts, there is one thing tho, I'd wish for.
What both mean to each other only they know for themselves, but after going through all this, I'd like them to have formed some tolerance, understanding and appreciation for those who want to live their BL story in real life, and to show it.
