    from when they ran away after gu hai's father tried to separate them. bly said he wants to be near the sea (i finally realize why the opening theme is named "beside the sea" bc hai = sea omg i'm slow...) they had sex on the beach in the tent and here we learns the cowgirl position is gu hai's favorite position lmao

    every of their action in the scene is sweet like sugar omg i'm really anticipating the mv, somebody pls release it soon ;_; 

     

    i think there was a short clip on them kissing in the tent i watched ages ago. considering it wasn't in any episodes, is it possible it is for a scene in season two?

    with "MV" does that mean music video? if so, do you reckon they would us clips of both actors in it?

    I'm seeing a lot of small clips on scenes i hadn't seen in season one. its confusing me, making me think they were either cut out of the episodes because of censorship, or they were filmed and were intended for season 2 episodes. 

    i don't want to be depressive, but the wait for news is tormenting. some others here have made good points that both actors look like they are moving on with their careers. its rather sad that such a moving and powerful show only lasted one season, i would have wanted to see the whole story till its end. i have been looking for other BL series, but for some reason, I'm only interested in ones that are in mandarin (not interested in any from korea or japan). with the other BL shows i have seen, nothing is as moving as SHANGYIN.

    I didnt watch the video. But if he really uses the last one its quite a coincidence. Since the last one is a limited edition product. The design is by a gay artist called keith haring. His special design is also used in tenga cups and eggs. If you dont know what they are, google it!

    i guess its a good thing that this article was published. its giving shangyin some international exposure, since readers of the article would be enticed to watch the show that has stirred up a lot of controversy in china. this could give the producers some added pressure to ensure that the series is completed by moving production out of china, say in taiwan.

    Is it possible it was 48 minutes long, then seperated into more episodes. Hence we have 15 eps now?

    because it doesnt make sense that literally half of each ep was cut in production. Or am i just not used to webseries and how they operate in china?

    i dont really care so much about the sexy dialogue or kissing scenes. I just hope the episodes are composed to 48 minutes so theres less plot holes in each episode. Non the less i still love this show!

    Sorry! Hopefully someone can answer my question!

    i suck at quoting, but someone suggested i read the comparisons while i watched the series again.

    im reading some of it now and things are making more sense than they did when i was watching the epsiodes.

    like when YQ gave BLY that apple shaped ciggerette lighter as a gift (finally made sense because BLY smokes, because there were no signs he did in any episode)

    and when GH saw the bruise on BLY's leg (because he got jealous and kicked BLY's chair)

    reading it all, the episodes look like theyve skipped alot of details, some important and some not so. 

    So the theory im thinking of and question i want answered is, if the DVD that are to be released is the uncut version, can we expect longer episodes (longer than 20 minutes) as they had to cut alot of stuff out?

    some of it doesnt make sense in the fact that there was no explaination prior to certain scenes, portraying the show as something only die hard fans who have read the books would only understand.

    This is getting too much. I cant believe 15 episodes of some show has honestly made me depresssed over the last 3 days. Has seriously tugged at my heart strings, making me doubt if ii will ever find love like they have.

    ive resorted to watching it on loop, over and over again, until i get over it. And so far, its working, although some of scenes still make me smile and feel all tingly inside.

    Ive also read so many spoilers, that i already pretty much know how the story ends. But none the less, would love to see how they film it.

    i think im over coming my addiction to addicted. Hahaha

    Hey all, 

    Its been years since ive watched a love drama from Asia, the last one was Meteor Garden dubbed in Cantonese in 2001! 
     
    Im loving this web-series so much that I've actually made an account to follow this forum! Is it bad that ive only found out about SHANGYIN 2 nights ago, and ive already watched it twice? This webseries has really hit me in the feels. Coming from a gay guy, its really great to finally see some gay loving from china.
    Apart of me will die inside if they dont make season 2. Im 25 years old, my words shouldnt be treated light heartedly. 
     
    Just wanted to know if anyone knows where i could purchase the DVD boxset when it is released? Im in Australia, so not too sure what websites will deliver. 
    Also, does anyone know if the DVDs will be the uncut version? 
    And if it will contain English subtitles?
     
    My FAVOURITE scene is in episode 15, BYL gave GH the scarf. During class, GH tries to make BLY jealous by telling him about the scarf he received from a girl as a gift. You can tell BYL was getting quite annoyed. But the little smile he gave when GH returns the scarf was just heart warming.
