Hi everyone. Long time lurker here. Like many others I feel the need to share my thoughts after all the recent developments. I sent Johnny a message on IG. I have no idea if he'll be able to understand it but I wanted to share it with you guys because it explains exactly how I feel about this series:

    Hi Johnny,

Just a message of support from an international fan. You're the only one from the cast and crew I can reach so I hope you can let everyone know how much we love and support your show. As a happily married gay man (married to a guy) I love how this show supports acceptance of gay people as real human beings who love and suffer just like everyone else. I have had my share of doing crazy things for love so I totally understand Gu Hai's obsession. At the same time I can see a deep and real love between the characters that is very heartwarming. Gu Hai reminds me very much of my husband and I am a lot like Bai Lu Yin. I want to let you guys know that your international fans will support you 100% in continuing filming of the novel. We will buy the DVDs, we will even help support you financially through donations if that is possible. We all want to see the happy ending at the end of the novel! We do hope the cast and crew stays the same. Chai Jidan is amazing and her vision really helps the show stay true to the novel. You and Wei Zhou are perfect together too. One more thing - I am a Filipino fan and we ourselves have to deal with homophobia. We have an internationally renowned boxer  (Manny Pacquiao) who just said gay people are "worse than animals." He is running for senator and will probably win. At first I thought this was mainly a religious issue but I guess it is more about those in power wanting control over their citizens.  My husband and I got married in South Africa and we're hoping to build a life together in the states where we will be accepted and legally recognized. But we still hope that eventually the whole world will be more accepting of us as human beings. This really starts with changing the hearts and minds of regular people, which is why your show is so important.
Lastly, I had the chance to visit Beijing once in the winter and it was very beautiful. But I have never wanted to learn Mandarin Chinese until now because of your show. I want to understand everything firsthand and I want to finally be able to read Chai Jidan's novel! All the best :)

If you don't mind me asking, is your husband Filipino, too? :) OMG CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BOTH OF YOU!!!!!!!! <3

I'm Indonesian and I want to say thank you for Filipinos who join in this thread, I reallllllyyyyy realllyyy love My Husband's Lover. Good acting, good story with so much emotions. Do you have another series like this? Ok, sorry this is out of topic :D

Back to topic, I'm still waiting for leaked car scene. Some days ago, there was leaked bed scene from ep 12. Someone uploaded in instagram. I was shocked, it' s almost semi porn. I kinda dislike it.

If the production team will make season 2, they have to be careful with all the suggestive scene.

I do have to give praise to the actors from My Husband's Lover ((I'm a Filipino btw currently studying)) Too bad it would take some time for something like that to be released again. One thing that impresses me about Filipino dramas/telenovelas is the good acting even though the story line is repetitive. :)

@leemicho Ah yes, but here's to hoping they'll include the scene in the uncut DVD release ^_^ Don't know if they actually will considering they removed the original audio where Chai Jidan confirmed with the interviewer that Jingyu and Zhouzhou added it themselves. Maybe not, to protect the actors (...or their relationship ;)) Also, the hopping all over the place is probably because it's based on a novel. I'm assuming the directors tried to make it understandable for people who haven't previously read the novel, but they didn't quite get there. Maybe it was because of censorship, budgets, etc. - or maybe it was just bad directing. If I had watched from Episode 1 to 12 without knowing at least the background story, a few snippets, and extra details per episode, I would be wondering a few things. Mainly, how does a straight man like GH suddenly fall in love with a classmate who's annoyed with him who happens to be his stepbrother. That, and how the heck LY ends up in a somewhat-relationship with/sleeping at the house of the man who kidnapped him (violently) and forced himself on him...I mean...I watch a lot of Asian BL (aka not everything is explained) but even I would be confused. Same goes for Counterattack (which I've watched quite a few times from beginning to end and still don't fully understand...)

I finished Counter Attack and it was oddly satisfying but I felt like there was something more from the drama that had to be filmed. The story line lacked in certain aspects, and more often than not, each consecutive scene had no relationship with one another. I reckon the same goes for Addicted in a few episodes.

This is an interesting concept that I might take up. Not sure if I'm comfortable writing about Johnny and Zhouzhou the actual actors and not just their characters though. Can you possibly link me to the Easy interview translation? I'm still confused as to when this car scene happens...Any clarifying details? While Heroin is a great series, I still find myself confused with the timeline of things :sweatingbullets: Everything's a bit everywhere if one hasn't read the original novel.

Also, an update for possibly interested fanfiction readers: I updated and completed my fanfic Already Addicted over here: http://www.asianfanfics.com/story/view/1091663/already-addicted-addicted-heroin-luoyin-guhai
(The last chapter/part is literally just a bunch of dirty, dirty @!#$?)

omFG I can't write like this this is art

From what I remember, Instagram was one of the few sites that was not blocked the last time I went to China which was last year of May. I was trying every single site I could think of to stalk LS and Instagram and Bing were the only 2 sites that worked.

    Found this: http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-29409533

That's weird... Hmmm... Are applications treated in the same way as websites?

Fellow fanfic writer as well. I suggest, make a fanfic if there is something lacking with the show that you want to portray or make it smutty smex basically. I wrote/write mine because of the disaster that was LS Season 2 and I'm basically filling in the gaps for when Earn and Pete weren't there (Part of the main cast my richard simmons. OhMick got more screen time) and fixing certain blunders that made no sense. Fanfics are there to satisfy a need that the show/novel isn't providing but everyone is craving so if you feel that there is something like that wanted, then go ahead and have fun with it. :D

I've read your fan fics, they're nice! :3 You know, we should totally have a group of fan fic writers for Addicted here. Anyone willing to join and pitch in some ideas? :)

Haha yeah! I agree! I did somehow managed to watch the whole of LS but I can hardly remember how everything ends; there wasn't that much of an impact... XD but I think this series is the only series I've watched which seems to have good acting!

When I was into Love Sick, I actually wrote fan fics about EarnPete and OhmMick. I feel pretty bad for leaving the readers hanging but I just can't find anymore inspiration from the series. The acting was horrible, the way the plot flowed was even more horrible, etc. Even the other fan fics have a better dialogue than the TV series itself. :/ I felt cheated on since I was expecting so much after Season 1. Hopefully, I won't be cheated on by Addicted.

I totally agree with you. So many were saying that the second season of LS was better but (I'm not sure what exactly happened) the leads got more self conscious in the second season and it became more awkward than anything else. However I still appreciated the two actors and enjoyed watching especially Captain's growth throughout LS. Heroin though: older actors, better acting  I'm hooked!

Phun is basically the Kristen Steward of Thailand. No emotions, nothing!

And there were so many love teams like dafaq, the other couples couldn't even get a decent amount of screen time. Also, it was as inconsistent as Glee (yeah richard simmons I'm talking about the competition episodes like wth)

Heroin is under a tight budget, according to previous replies here. I'm happy they were able to make use of their limited funds but still, some parts of the plot have a huge hole in them. Optimistically speaking, the acting skills of the actors themselves are able to at least attract/hold onto our attention 'cause I swear, if their acting was as bad as Phun, I'd probably stop watching this after 2 episodes.

@Beach Down The Lane For now it's just an infatuation, not love...I really hope that will change later on in the story, because it would be sad if Guhai remains as he is right now, that's not ideal for anyone...he needs to mature and be selfless with Luoyin so they can both be happy.

I know where you're coming from and yeah, Gu Hai would look like a dog if he always acted like that. But I can't help it, its so cute and bubbly like WHY DO I NOT HAVE A LOVE LIFE LIKE THAT WHAT DID I DO WRONG?! CURSE YOU, UNIVERSE!
