On the topic of JHxDS shippers being kind of scary -

I was scrolling through the Reply 1988 tag on tumblr friday night or saturday, and came across this really nasty post about how angry they were at the writer and how they're angry and the bad writing because if TK is endgame it didn't make sense and it was overall just one very, very long, angry post about that and how it was just fanservice.
BUT on the other hand;
Directly under that post was another JHxDS shipper talking about how even though it goes against their ship, that kiss melted them and they were totally happy about that.

Two sides to every coin. (Tho I agree they scare me  the more aggressive, angry ones are the loudest so thats the more well known and readily thought of side)

I also wanted to add my 2 cents about whether JHs arc is over or not.

I don't know if this has been discussed somewhere else, like on the MT, but I don't think its been brought up here. I noticed at the end of this episode, instead of getting a preview for next week we got a montage of all of JH and DS's romantic moments, the moments that stand out. I thought that was a little strange, personally. It very well could be that since they were behind on shooting, they don't have enough footage yet to use as a preview. Or it could also be that since the next two episodes are the last ones, they didn't want to give anything way about them.

But as I was thinking about it, I realized that I'm used to montages of a 'couples' (I say it that way because they were never officially a couple) romantic moments at the end of a series, when all is said and done and the characters arcs are over. So, that combined with everything else we have been talking about as to why we think JHs romantic arc with DS has been resolved, I found it interesting.

JH confessed, and got his closure -> romantic montage -> JH and DS romantic arc end.

Just a thought, and I have a pretty horrendous memory so this could be a totally normal thing with the reply series and I'm just forgetting, hah.

Also, thanks to those of you a few pages back who shared some posts from the MT (I can't remember who it was, I'm sorry D: ) I appreciate it so much <3

Hello chingus! I've been a quiet observer this whole time but I wanted to put in my two cents, and I want to do it here because, well Taek <3 and also the MT scares me x)

Now, I haven't watched all of the episodes but I have been watching bits here and there, and keeping up through various recaps and discussions. On the topic of JHs dad having recorded the outcome of the chocolate incident, and since it was JHs dad the recorded it it would make sense that JH found out. Someone said that since JH did not see his father messing with said camcorder he wouldn't have seen the footage. A good 30+ years have passed and since it was recorded, I think there is a very strong possibility that JH would have been able to see the footage.

Also, I remember that when Taek started figuring out that JH might like DS as well, people were speculating that because of his competitive nature it would be most likely that he would face the challenge head on. I know this has gone and passed, but I still wanted to add some insight on that. I'm not sure if someone already talked about it from this angle, so if they have I sincerely apologize!
The way I figure it, is as we have seen, JH and DS have both taken care of TK since...well since TK moved into the neighborhood, essentially. It's not just JH and DS that take care of him, SW and DR do as well, we know this xD But the neighborhood group is so close knit, they've shared so much of their lives with each other that they're all a little family, as we've seen. Especially between our OT5. The way I see it, once TK figured it out about JH liking DS, his course of action would have been to sacrifice it for his.. the best term I can find to get the idea across is parents. Even though he doesn't have familial love for DS, I think its down the same vein. A lot of time you want to give something up if it means your parents would be happy, because they sacrifice so much for you. So I was thinking that might one of the ways TK was approaching the situation.

I could be very, very wrong!

I also hope I managed to get my thoughts across successfully, I don't have a good track record with that
