Guest leehyori2
weird skin condition happening..I'm not sure if this goes in beauty&fashion but here i go. Hi everyone, I'm just average boy with everything normal except my skin on left cheek. For the past few years my cheek skin became very weird, i only notice this because as i became older i was my eager to have good skin. well i dont know what happen my but my skin turned weird. i used many type of cream or what my sister recommend me to use but it just doesnt seem to fix the problem. im afraid of having really short hair because it exposes my sides >< my family dislike me having long hair that drags my face down. i got told off many time by teachers and receive several afterschool detention because of my hair. What should i do? is there a specialist doctor that i could examine my skin condition? i got some images: ~ http://img10.imageshack.us/i/img4820120211.jpg the picture is backwards by accident >< please read the yellow fonts on the image thankyou very much for taking your time to read this. edit~~ sorrie for the massive image http://img198.imageshack.us/i/img4920120211.jpg
Guest alicek7
Sorry, but I can't really see the condition.. You might need to post a close-up, if you're comfortable, or describe it more in detail. That's weird how you got detention because of your hair!
Guest leehyori2
thankyou for the quick reply. i just uploaded another image that is bigger. The skin.. it harder and more rough than my right cheek skin. for some weird reason, its like dark brown colour almost gonna turn into black while my right side is like white o.o i cutted my hair short once because of the teacher and spike it all up with short sides one of my friend was like "oh i didnt know it was you but i saw the brown patch or whatever on ur cheek and i knew it was you" ToT i dont know how to describe my feeling about that. it looks like i got a scar or something ...>< about the detention... i usually get told off every term for the past few years. my hair was alot longer before, i just got told off the last week of term and was force to cut or else they wont let me come back to school. since its yr 10. In Australia it would affect my school certificate if im away alot. usually the hair would cover my whole side.
Guest mz_imperfect
To be honest, it could be a number of things. What have you been doing as a routine or is there a certain cream/cleanser you used before this happen? Did this start after you stopped using something? Is it dry? Did you get sunburned? There's still a lot of questions that need to be addressed and your best bet is to go to a dermatologist who will be able to determine what exactly happened and how to treat it. Guest leehyori2
i wouldnt think it would be any product i use. i use Clean & Clear Morning Burst Scrub and milk cream at night time. i use these after the weird skin condition. i did think of it being dry but when i put cucumber for a couple of week it really didnt help.. sunburned? i dont think so because im really scared of the sun.. so im mostly under shelter. i guess its best to go to a dermatologist. should i ask my parent about this? im not sure where to start looking for the specailist doctor. Guest Painterlyy
Hmm..persoanlly to me, it looks like kind of a rash...but since you said it's been happeneing for a long time..then it may not be. i suggest going to a dermatoligist if you are really concerned about it

Guest Oh Deer
I'm pretty sure it's not serious. C: Don't worry. Have you tried exfoliating? xD A patch of my skin near my elbow was kind of like that. I started exfoliating and it's kind of lighter and softer now. Idk if it's going away or it's because of the exfoliating.
Guest heineken.
Go to the dermatologist (a reputable one!) I used to follow one around and observe him interacting with his patients, and he knew what the condition was just by looking at it for 2 seconds lol. Sometimes he asked a few questions, but there was never a time where he didn't know what it was. Good luck!
Guest April10
I'm not sure if I'm seeing this correctly, but it looks like you're veins are more pronounced and hardened, maybe it's a blood related issue. But that looks serious; not a simple case of acne or skin rash. I suggest that you go to a dermatologist.

Guest brainee_stv
Try to look at Rosacea or Keratosis Pilaris in Wikipedia. There are some symptoms there. These two skin conditions show bumps and patches like yours. If you're diagnosed with anyone of these two conditions, you can use SR Lotion to control the patches, the thickened skin and the super dry part. My sister has KP and it also look like how you describe yours. She's using SR Lotion now and her skin look better. She exfoliates two times a week and then moisturize with SR lotion. I'm sure it helps.
