Guest ally.
well we're not really bashing...we're telling the truth I agree. This thread is about the hk music, and we're just soley expressing what we think about it. It's not literally bashing, cause bashing is where everyone hates the damn artists & music. I never said I hated it, I just didn't appreciate it because of it's degrading issues, or whatever. (not sure if any of that made sense. -__-.) So, if that's whatcha call bashing, does that mean I have to praise their singing, when it really stinks? Oh, well.
Guest SE7EN_
Lol, HK music doesn't 'suck'. The worst days are over, the newcomers this year and last year's are improving by alot. It's just the music range that's lacking in HK. All we get is pop and ballads, but in the HK music today, I've seen more than that.. HK is starting to have more R&B, and songs that doesn't sound 'cheap'. You can see that the industry is improving by last year's awards. In the 903 award show, I don't think any EEG singers won the top 10 golden song list. So it's not as bad as you people think -__- peace!

Guest *.:StarryEyeSurprise:.*
I'm not an Edison fan, just cause my banner & icon has a picture of him. O_o Just cause I have pictures of the singers that can't actually sing, doesn't mean I support them or anything. I just like the picture of his, apparently. I had a banner of Janice & Charles, too. O_o Please don't assume something about me that isn't even true. Everyone has the ability to be talented in what they do, they just have to improve on it. But, sadly they aren't. I suggest you stop assuming pointless stuff about me, and start doin' something else. I have a banner of let's say, Fiona/Isabella. I'm a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiig fan of her. Yeah, right. Trust me, I can have a banner of any singer, and you can right on assume any piece of richard simmons about me; cause it's what you do, right? I'm not tryna start anything, but you assumed a lot of things that aint true about me. & I'm just lettin' you know the truth. Besides, I dropped all hopes on anyone on HK. There won't be anything spectacular. Once they reach a level of popularity, the singing ability, and the type of songs they sing, will just disappoints me. These kinds of people irritate me the most. Well sorry *rolls eyes* I didn't think ppl would have a avartar of just a random person it's usually somebody they like anyway I apologise for ummm...assuming and offending you

Guest vannushka
i mean you guys have your personal opinions but.. this thread isnt for it.. I don't get it...so we're not allowed our personal opinions? um well..i love everyone who sings or tries to in hk..oh wait..that's my personal opinion about the different genre of music in hk...pop and ballads REALLY suit the..language? for some odd reason..i dont think rap or rock sounds good in canto i love cantonese music..but each time i've mentioned joey..she's been bashed or dissed ugh..903...is sooooooooo sooooooo bias about loving gold label i know all radio stations are bias..but i rather a station that gives awards to hacken..than one who gives a top 10 award to JUNO!!!!!!!! Guest boa_fan929
^well 2-3yrs ago TVB gave juno an award for "best interpretation song" or sumthing like that. so its not like 903 is the ONLY station that gave juno an award. plus, top 10 awards have lost a lot of value i think. 'gold song' is still more important. anyways, i cant wait until 1 day they decide to combine all 4 music award shows together to create 1 huge one. (which i doubt will ever come)
Guest vannushka
^2/3 years ago was when he had SOME fame..it was so random for crhk to give him the award last year..it was clearly bias...you have no idea how many people booed at him.. i knew mo lai was going to win gold song last year..it was such a good k song the media award is the closest the 4 stations aRE going to get to each other well deserved to eason! Guest ally.
I do prefer ballads for cantonese music, but sometimes, a little too much, and a little too slow of a song can reallllllllllyyyyy kill the song.

Guest kkkkk
Has Faye Wong actually retired from singing or does she plan to return at some point? she is very very pregnant now. but i dont think that she has said anything regarding retiring, so she will be back! anyway, most of her tracks are in mandarin so i dont really consider her a hk musician. (since she isnt even from hk in the first place)

Guest froot loops
It's not always the satisfaction. It's either if the lyrics are sh*tty like EEG's, their singing ability, or the pathetic-ness of the song itself. EEG would do anything for sh*tty lyrics just for the money. Justin's "A Song Per Day," was sh*tty lyrics. He has a great voice. It's not always about makin' them. If you keep makin' them, with no progress, what's the difference with not makin' any? It's pathetic. I think EGG releases albums too fast. They don't look at the quality of the songs before they put them on. In Hk there are some many singers out there that they must keep releasing new material to keep their popularity up. If not the public will forget them really quick. Guest Ramen-C
Twins are pretty good....they are Hong Kong are they? I liked the old boyz with Kenny Kwan, Don liyat(upcoming star i think) and bits and peices of other stuff i can get a hold of.
Guest ally.
Wahahaha. Justin's new album has some fast songs. I kinda like em. :) 決戰二世祖 sounds kinda cool, lol. The baby-ish voice sounds funny. I don't know if it's me, but "Volar" sounds kinda like an English remake of some song. So far, I like those two tracks best. There's a slight improvement. :)
Guest heartdrops
^ i was just about to say that! Justin finally has some fast songs that doesnt make his album boring! the intro was weird but cute o__o? at first i thought 決戰二世祖 was weird to me but then it started to grow on me. that song is one repeat now! xD
Guest ally.
lol, I was wondering ... is that him in the intro? If not, who is he? lol, but I kinda understand what this album's tryna say with the "No Protection" thing. Stupid reporters.
Guest heartdrops
yeah, he said that in one of the interviews/new articles. hong kong papparazzi are too extreme. hmm intro.. i think you can sorta hear him in the background in the beginning. i wonder who that little kid is. when i say little kid, mr. mok just pops in my mind.
