it was a beautiful drama.

in the finale, my heart was breaking when Taro was trying to control his emotions on the bus ride, while Susu was running and calling out to him. the way Nagase acted there was quite heart wrenching. it is truly a bittersweet series, especially the ending. we're left with the hope that the next generation's children {Akira and the "Susu-incarnate"} do end up together, just so to fulfill a love that was not meant to be.

ahh, utahime makes one sentimental. i hope more people gave this series a chance.

I'm saving the last few eps to watch later since there's a bit of lull before the next season starts. But yeh Utahime is my favorite drama this season. Over the past year or two, I'm finding Friday night dramas such as Jikou Keisatsu and Kazoku better than the ones shown in more popular time slots...
