i have a few.... i wear them in the winter because i get sick easily... my mom makes me use it because she doesn't want me to cough or sneeze on someone... haha i didn't know it was "uhljjang fashion"

well, as other's already said, you wear it when you're sick.

Others in asia may wear them from some protection against pollen/dust if they have allergies.

they also sell re-useable cloth version for those who own those scooter things and want to keep the dust off your face.

my best bet: JAPAN or TAIWAN.

everytime i visit one of those places, people are wearing them (:

AND, they usually cost just one dollar. XD

any relatives there? just ask them to buy and send it over. easy.

it should definitely not be considered as a trendy kind of thing. the reason you see a lot of ulzzangs wearing them is because of the SARS disease that was spreading in asia.

if your friend's sick, just avoid facing her or tell HER to buy some masks.

its because of the pollution in asian countries. alot of people wore it in taiwan because of the pollution.

there were many shops selling those masks...they were so cute! but i never bought any coz i know i'd look like a freak if i wore it here. lol

my mom used to make me wear these in the winter time when I was younger, so I wouldn't catch a cold from anyone...

I don't know if you can get them in the states though, my grandma sent a whole bunch from korea for the winter, lol~
