Guest smile-jw
DATES RELEASED Please read F.A.Q and picture before asking questions. (Remember that the 14th for L.A Auditions are canceled.) F.A.Q Q: If you don't sign up for dancing, do you still have to take the rhythm test? A: Everyone has to do the rhythm test. Basically, they just put on a random song, and you dance for like 30 seconds or so. Q: Is the rhythm test optional? A: If you dont want to do it, then just stand there Q: Is email registration just an option? A: According to some people, you will have to wait longer if you don't register online. From my experience last year, you have to go and register again to get your number. They ask if you registered online so I think they might make you wait a bit if you didn't. Also, when you register online they tell you the time. Q: Do they have online auditions? A: If I'm correct, online auditions are different from the global audition. When you do the email registration it just saves you an earlier spot instead of going there on the audition day and waiting to sign up. Q: Do you do the rhythm test by yourself? A: Everyone dances instead of doing it one by one. Q: What kind of picture should I send in? A: Send in any picture that shows your face clearly. (Dont send pictures that are photoshopped, sticker pics, or webcam pics.) Q: Does it matter what language we sing in? A: No Q: What kind of songs do they play for the rhtyhm test? A:They play random songs. They don't have one specific genre that they want you to dance to, they just pick whatever to see if you have rhythm. Q: If you try out for dancing, how long can you dance for? A: I'd suggest around a minute or so. I think they sometimes they cut you off if they don't have enough time. Q: Age requirement? Min. height requirement? A: NONE Q: How long do you have to act? A: About one minute. Somtimes it depends on what the judges want. Q: How much of the song do you sing? A: They ask you to start from the chorus. I say keep singing after the chorus since they just cut you off. Q: For make up, what's the limit? Can you at least wear foundation? A: As long as it's not caked on to your face I think it would be fine. Just a little bit might be good ^^;; Q: For singing do you bring your own instrumental of the CD? A: Singing is done accapella, meaning no mic, no background music. Q: For acting do you write your own script? A: You do have to prepare your own script. I say try to just take a section from a drama/movie etc. Q: Do you have to be able to speak Korean? A: No, last year the judge could either speak english or had a translator. Q: Does this audition occur every year? A: Not sure. Q: Can we just accompany friends and watch them? A: The auditions are in a private room so if you are not auditioning, you won't get to see them. It would be better to not go since the place will probably be crowded. even if you only sign up for acting/modeling sometimes they make you sing. so you might want to have a tiny piece prepared. TIME&PLACE will be announced later. after you send in your application through email they will reply back to you saying they received your app. then later they'll email you again with YOUR time and the location. everyone will have different times. so please come at the time you receive, don't come earlier bcuz all you'll do is have to wait for no reason and make it really crowded there. i forgot what time mine was but i was like #6 so i went early. my friends time was at 3pm or 4pm and she never got to go...people were auditioning until 9pm-10pm but she couldn't stay past 9 so she just left. it was so disorganized last year that's why the auditions took forever... Guest smile-jw
what time do we have to be at those locations??? for registration and actual audition? On the HUGEE picture, it says that the detailed info will be released later~ So i guess we have to wait a few days. Im not sure if I can audition anymore.. WHY, OH WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE ON A SCHOOL DAY!? V Yes. EVERYONE needs to do the rhythm test. I think even if youre auditioning for acting, or modeling you still have to do it. Guest smile-jw
Wait, what??? EVERYONE? In the other SM 2007 Global thread, not EVERYONE had to take the rhythm test. One person who auditioned said that it was optional??? And what in the world is a rhythm test..T_T.....for dancing? Uh yes. From what ive read, (belive me, Ive read A LOT), everyone has to do the rhythm test. Basically, they just put on a random song, and you dance for like 30 seconds or so. But i guess you can call it optional if you want. If you dont want to do it, then just stand there.
