Inter Win Dvd

hi!

i need some help regarding inter win dvd burner. i have some home videos that i would like to burn and so far it is perforing well when the video will last for less than an hour but when i try to burn videos that will take almost 2 hours, it seems that it cannot format the videos at all sucessfully. i wonder why coz i am using a 4.7 GB DVD-R recordable. what seems to be the problem? am i using the right dvd to be able to burn more than 1 hour videos? or is there any other downloadable dvd burner (free) that i can use where its compatible with windows media player. this is my concern because my portable dvd player can play ordinary dvd's and windows media player compatible only.
