I wonder if this movie is available in Singapore. Guess it will be rated M18, given all the brutality and violence portrayed. Hope that this movie would be screened soon. Side note: Lee Jun Ki looked so man in here.

this was a great movie. definitely a real tear jerker.

i saw it in theaters when i was in korea this summer and the whole theater was bawling by the end of it.

definitely watch it if you get a chance, especially if you have any understanding of what happened in gwangju.

does anyone know when the DVD will be released? Or has it been released already?

silverwingz - I think DVD isn't yet available. I've been also looking for a copy but still can't find one.

Omg! This is such a sad movie. Haven't seen it but saw the music video to it. :tears: So sad.

kzt - really, a sad movie, sad ending, too? Whatever the ending will be, I still would want to watch this movie mainly because of Lee Jun Ki & Kim Sang Kyeong.

This movie lacked...its a good film but it really didn't show the full picture. If anyone is interested in movies based on the Gwangju Incident, I recommend "A Petal".

a4sano, I love you.

I haven't seen May 18 yet, but I know I'll hate it. I know, it's bad, I should not do that. But how many chance is there it avoids all the stereotypes of recent big commercial historical melodramas ? 0.1% maybe... that's what I'll call a miracle.
