When the imagination takes you too far...

Welcome to So Jisub City

When the legend starts:

Actor So Jisub, the first actor alive in the Republic of Korea was granted his own city in the Capital Territory, after had his own road of 51km in Gangwon Province since 2010.

Although this is a very young and small city, it's well known as one of the most beautiful, peaceful, modern and unique cities in the world. A large quantity of visitors are women at all ages, known as his fans worldwide. Some declared they would want to stay there for the rest of their life because nothing compared to the feeling living in love. (The Government was so smart with their decision indeed: they've earned a great deal amount of tax from this huge source of Tourism).

The one millionth visitor will be the luckiest tourist in the world. This person will be invited to meet actor So Jisub in 51K Palace, have a special gift from him as well as enjoy a completely free tour around the city. 

Getting to know this announcement, I kiss goodbye all my family members and march straight off to the airport. The sun is shining brilliant at my leaving as if to wish me luck because this is my first tour ever on my own after all. But does that matter? I guess I won't be lonely there. Jisub ah, I'm coming!

One day in Wonderland

I pinch my cheek ... Ouch... Clearly I feel the pain. So this is not a dream at all. My feet feel so light as if I can fly off the ground in any minute with overjoy. Oh my God, finally I'm here in So Jisub City.

I will make the best of my time here.

It's spring season now in So Jisub city. The warm sunlight dyes all buildings into a beautiful golden colour while his huge pictures on them warm tourists' hearts on every step "I'm here in the city of my Love One"

These buses and trams alone have already made an excited scene for tourists. I watch them, felt my jaw hanging...

Only in So Jisub City his large panels are generously displayed  everywhere. A professional team take care of this, I must say. They would change all these images from time to time from his huge source of 18 years acting career.

I swear there is this gentleman, accompanied by his lady, cranes his neck trying to have a good view of him. "Dude, please watch you way while you are walking!"

His dark eyes liked magnets pull me unconsciously closer and as if there were invisibles strings gentle holding my feet to the ground. I was hypnotized! Oh babe, I have to leave you here, there are so much more So Jisub facilities to see and learn... 

Heaven! This hotel has his High Cut Magazine 2011 image, one of my favourite ones, covered the whole building. Absolutely a candy for the sore eyes!

It's said that all resident in So Jisub city are his die-hard fans. People lead a comfortable and happy life. How a King in his own kingdom was well loved and respected then we could say the same referring our So Jisub's position in his civilian's hearts.

So Jisub train

Folks in So Jisub city have remembered clearly the day So Jisub train was launched. It was the Christmas Day, Saturday, December.25.2010. This event was definitely one of the most beautiful festivals to fans. People showed to each other their smiling faces "Know what? Our star has his own train!!!" 

Public announced:

'So Ji Sub Train’ to Operate Between Seoul and Chuncheon

A sightseeing train decorated with photographs of Hallyu star So Ji Sub (33) will begin operating from this year’s Christmas on December 25.So Ji Sub’s agency 51K said on December 13 that Kangwondo had decided to operate the tourist train entitled “Hallyu Romance Train" (working title), in which So Ji Sub’s large photos are printed, from December 25, and the train will run between Seoul and South Chuncheon Station twice a day every weekend. The photographs to decorate the train came from So Ji Sub’s photo essay entitled “So Ji Sub’s Road” that he had created while he had traveled all around the Kangwondo region.

His agency said, “So Ji Sub will be the first star actor in Korea whose photographs are decorated on the train.” The marketing department for tourism in Kangwondo said, “Thanks to So Ji Sub’s participation, we will be able to present beautiful memories of a train trip to many tourists from home and abroad, and those people might also have a good opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Kangwondo.”

So Ji Sub will participate in the opening ceremony on December 25, and parents and children from multicultural families will be invited and travel from Seoul to South Chuncheon station by taking the train.

The train was decorated in cheerful colours with large pictures of actor So Jisub on each wagon. Indeed, this special train had carried on it all happy souls who treasured this one trip with their whole-hearted.

From here you will head to the Makguksu Museum focusing on another local specialty, Buckwheat noodles. Enjoy a firsthand culinary experience from kneading the dough, pressing it through the hand cranked noodle making machine to the finale of sampling the famous seasoned cold noodle dish. Then it’s back to nature with a brief stop to the observatory atop Mount Gubong to take in a panoramic view of Chuncheon City. The tour wraps up with a visit to the Kim Yu JeongHouse of Literature commemorating the life and works of Chuncheon’s native son and one of Korea’s leading novelists, Kim Yu Jeong (1908-1938). Kim penned many of his famed descriptive short stories based on life and surroundings of his rural home province of Kangwon Do. Till now, in the talks between So Jisub civils in their free times, this nice memory usually flood back "Know what? I used to ride on So Jisub train in that beautiful winter..."

So Jisub Cinema - A Paradise 

When I had entered the SJS Cinema, I never thought it would take me more than 3 hours before I reluctantly leaving my seat.

In SJS Cinema, a part from those big halls with huge screens showing all kind of old or current movies around the world, there are countless small rooms called "Fans' self-serviced rooms". Tickets are selling for one hour, 2 hours, 4 hours or whole day ticket.

I was led to an comfy arm chair, was handed a Samsung tablet and friendly shown how to do this self-service thingy.

Oh my God, SJS's staffs are the true geniuses. They have managed all of his work in to thousands files which will be shown through a large projector with different subtitle languages . All viewers have to do is touch the finger on the file they want to watch on the menu: sorting by scenes, by name, by time... short cuts or  whole episode; Behind the scenes; All kind of CFs he has endorsed; all of his albums together with document films describe how he created them from the beginning...

I selected some of my favourite short cuts from Thousand Years of Love drama. He whispered to the Princess "Saranghae!"

Oh My God, I'm dying! The stereo system has delivered perfectly his sexy deep voice to my ears...

Trying some MVs, I touch Phantom MV "Crying with longing". The thrilling notes in this song made my hair standing on my neck. Terrific!

What's so touching to me is so many fan-made MVs also displayed in this system. His fans who come from different countries, talking different languages has made those MVs with love in their hearts and with smiles on their faces because of him. Our So Jisub would never leave fans' love unnoticed, wouldn't he?

Bed time

It's getting dark when I check in at the hotel I spotted earlier during the day. May I add SJS meals and SJS coffee are so delicious? I tuck into them, forgetting my diet. Now I guess I should give my wandering feet a nice rest.

The room is so beautiful with his large canvases hanging on the walls. Vonin Sport 2009 wet shirt... I really want this for my room back home.

Have you ever seen a magic mirror my dear ladies? Well, you should come to So Jisub City. This is how it works: at your touch, his image manifests. Those smart inventors has never stop surprise the public with their fantastic ideas.  

Alright then, bed time! I jump on the bed.

Huh? There is no bolster cushion here. I always want to hug this warm long roll while sleeping.

Why don't they make SJS cushions here?

Instantly, I regret to have such an inappropriate thought. Fans love and respect him as a King. We would never want to clone the King or mass produce his life-size cushions for any purpose, right? Naturally, his love, his soul and his precious body heat are the best gifts ever he'll offer for his bride only...

The sleepiness suddenly attacks me heavily right when I want to think more of his Royal body heat. Remain at the back of my head there's only one simple wish before I completely lose my conscious:

"Long live the King!!!"

I had joined the thread one week before our SJS started his Asian Tour in 2014. His new album "18 Years" had just been released. Everyone here were so excited!  It was definitely a dream time for us fans.

I remember our dears @olang and @sara62 worked "overtime" bringing so many updates for us. Our dears @gc05 and @PaulaC and @Sunset90 were so lovely, making jokes now and then and @chakita babe with her unique style always gives the other courage... Many SJS lovers have contributed their shares here made the thread lively. Each day passed with fun and joy! I was a newbie back then, started learning to post pictures and videos steps by steps.

It's so sad to think of the members for some reasons, have to stop having fun here. I miss @gc05's jokes. I miss Olang who is so quick in posting new pics in her calm and happy manner. Where are you now my good girls? I admire Sara who had never missed her daily posts. When Sara spending her precious free time to make good works for the others to enjoy, it's really an awesome sacrifice!

Dear @sara62, if one day you get to read this, please consider I'm writing this out of love and that I'm missing you right now: you're leaving behind you a huge memory on soompi thread with 3378 posts. Next SJS's generations of fans will thank you as we are always grateful to dear @saturn, @coco, @sarvin... and many other members. Of course, even in our own family, sometimes there are misunderstandings unavoidable. But happy ending is something we are all expected, aren't we? So, on this thread, if there is anything can make a member feel uncomfortable, I hope we'll take it easy to have fun and love life... Hope for your coming back after taking your nice rest! Hope you are always happy and love for Jisub-nim always warm in your heart!

Yeah, I'm writing like an old lady now, my dear friends. I'm not good at giving appreciations. I've just trying to say we are friends online who share the same love for actor SJS, even sometimes by words, one might upset the others but it's not a crime after all, right?

Hope my two cents don't make you bored! I know it's a dream, but if our SJS would drop by and say hello to his loyal fans here, I bet everyone will be happy like crazy, forgetting all depressing! There will come back the golden time!
