17 Sexiest K-Drama Male Leads Of 2022 So Far

Being sexy can be defined on so many different levels. Confidence, passion, being considerate and kind – it really does take a lot. All of the actors on this list have exuded exactly what it takes to be considered sexy, and it’s only halfway through the year! Here are 17 of them.

Lee Min Ho

Whether you love or hate his characters, Lee Min Ho always manages to look confident and amazing in every role he takes on. In the international hit series “Pachinko,” which is based on the novel written by Min Jin Lee, Lee Min Ho plays Koh Hansu, a Korean man who lives in Japan and ends up falling in love with Sunja (Kim Min Ha). The best part about this series was not only seeing him in a very complex role but also seeing all of the interviews of him and the cast having a great time. A smiling and laughing Lee Min Ho is definitely sexy!

Hey @JoannaID you might get a hug too if you see LMH!

It's been a while since I logged in to Soompi!

Yeah, I wish I can see him during Ask The Stars filming this year, but it's still difficult to find out the shooting location as of now, not even Food Truck support is allowed. *sigh

These people who saw him were just happen to be in the locations and are all live there, still no fan-cams from overseas Minoz yet. We're still hoping and waiting, hopefully there will be more information on the shooting locations!

Love at first sight in versions of Lee Min Ho and Ahn Hyo Seop

June 30, 2022

Although they both fell in love from the first time they met, the handling of Lee Min Ho and Ahn Hyo Seop are worlds apart.
Lee Min Ho and Ahn Hyo Seop are the two top actors right now as their dramas are both a big hit in the market. What they have in common is that they all have an attractive appearance with outstanding aura, and they both fell in love with the female lead right from the first time they met...

The new bad boy of the screen – Lee Min Ho

In the recent drama Pachinko, Lee Min Ho plays a Korean businessman named Koh Han Su, who is extremely handsome but very depraved with blood-stained hands.

lee-min-ho-pachinko-010322.webp

The image of a businessman Lee Min Ho, who would use any tricks to achieve his goals.

He noticed the gentle, poor village girl Sun Ja (Kim Min Ha) right from the moment he first saw her at the fish market.

The eyes of the beholder could not hide his lust in front of the beautiful, obedient girl. And Lee Min Ho‘s character made her pregnant.

https://cdn.kbizoom.com/media/2022/03/26153312/kim-min-ha-pachinko-17032022-1.png

Instead of being responsible for Sun Ja‘s life, Koh Han Su denied it and said harsh words that made her run away.

The fact that he has a family but still cheats and harms other girls’ lives makes the audience criticize and think that his character is a RickRoll'D. The feeling from the first time meeting the girl was clearly not love, but just a man’s momentary lust.

In any case, love at first sight is not a bad thing. What is to be judged is how the man’s actions and behavior after that.

Lee Min-ho, Ji Chang-wook, Nam Joo-hyuk - 5 Kdrama Men Who Broke Away From The Typical Romantic Hero Mould in The First Half Of 2022

This year, our beloved Korean drama men decided to break free of their romantic cliched self on screen. They know we are deeply and disturbingly addicted to them, so they decided to give us something more to be proud of. Here are 5 kdrama actors who broke their romantic mould to deliver more.

Nam Joo-hyuk in Twenty Five Twenty One, Lee Min-ho in Pachinko, Ji Chang-wook in The Sound Of Magic (Phooto credit: LatestLY)

Korean drama men are not just scene-stealers but heart stealers too. They are gorgeous who are well groomed and good-looking. But what stands out is their performances which are smooth and effective. These are our romantic male leads, the ones we pine for but will never get. But this year, these men decided to do something else. They know we are deeply and disturbingly addicted to them, so they decided to give us something more to be proud of. As a recap of the first half of 2022, we will talk about these men who broke free of the cliched romantic mould to do something different, something wicked and a whole lot charming. Lee Min-ho, Kim Soo-hyun, Ji Chang-wook - 5 K-drama Actors Obsessed With 'No Caption' Instagram Posts.

Lee Min-ho in Pachinko

Although we knew Min-ho's character has grey shades, to actually see him being this unreasonable man was quite a shocker. Even when he was a conman in Legend Of The Blue Seas, he was the perfect romantic guy. But in Pachinko, he is self-centered and arrogant. Yes, his past has a lot of bearings on what he becomes in the present, we just weren't used to watching him play bad. But we are really glad that he took the risk. Min-ho did a swell job as Hansu.

I have been doing some catching up on this and the Pachinko thread and two interesting items  stood out.
One was that in episode 7 he had to do a lot of his acting against a green screen. Quoting from the article:-

“the actor playing Hansu had to emote everything against nothing. It’s incredibly difficult”

If you add to this the videos which Canadian Minoz filmed of LMH

covered in dust and choking whilst filming the episode it makes his acting seem even more incredible.

The other interesting bit of news was that MYM have put money into Ask the Stars. As well as obviously believing in the drama to do this I wonder if they are looking back to TKEM and the amount of money that Product placement brought in. If this was a reason it shows what a shrewd business mind Minho and his agency have (although it could mean yet more PPI for us to see!!)

Hope everyone on here is ok- and have a great weekend especially any Americans on here celebrating Independence Day

@Lindyloo421  a green screen allows film production to remain within a sound stage but show essentially different locations and sequences. There are many, many uses for this technique in Hollywood filmmaking, many of them to do with special effects. The name green screen was adopted simply because there's a large green screen background on the set. What we usually see on the big screen is actually CG these days. It's more economically feasible to shoot in front of a green screen than it is to go on location. Honestly, if an actor is complaining about working in front of a green screen, I should not imagine they would enjoy not working at all. There are plenty of actors out there who don't mind working in front of green screens. Acting in front of a green screen poses unique challenges. That said, people in the entertainment industry don’t make decisions about technology based on what actors like, it’s all about profit. Green screen is responsible for the most amazing CGI sets imaginable. An actor in a green room can complain but once the product is finished, the actor is happy to know that they have been immortalized in a visually awesome piece of film. Because if you're in front of a green screen, there is nobody behind you. Yes, it isn’t the easiest thing to do and is just one more reason why acting isn’t on screen isn’t quite as easy as a lot of people seem to believe it is.  :twerk2:

When an actor receives a producer credit, it usually comes alongside a request for more money. Hopefully, the studio acknowledges that part of the show's success comes from the actor's presence and performance, and they're willing to negotiate a new salary and producer credit. Producers get profit. After the release of the drama/movie, it earns revenue from theater collections, selling of distribution rights, selling of broadcasting rights, selling of DVDs and VCDs, etc. If this revenue exceeds the expense, then the movie/drama has made a profit. This profit goes to the producer. Thus the producer earns money from the movie/drama. The easiest way to be successful as a producer is to be very rich, since then you can finance any film/drama you want and give yourself the credit, but that doesn't necessarily mean you'll make your money back. Yes, for TV Producer, they together with the network, or broadcaster, receive their money back through commercials. Ads are the number one way that TV shows make money.  :kisslevel:

@syntyche  thanks for sharing this. I do agree - A smiling and laughing Lee Min Ho is definitely sexy! -   :7555_attack:

"Pachinko"  the novel was the first time I was exposed to the story. I like the drama, too. Usually, this is not a genre that appeals to me but I felt a strong sense of fear of missing this out when it was made into drama. But, my best friend loved it so when the series dropped that she couldn’t miss it. The drama definitely lives up to some of my expectations: the directorial effort is artistic. The cinematography is incredible. The acting.....The story is mostly true to the fact adapted and I found the way it unfolds was interesting. I would recommend the drama highly for people who do enjoy these kinds of stories but also for those who want to watch stories about recent history. It’s a drama with a very serious tone that addresses some very sensitive issues so I found myself reading a lot after each episode. I hope the momentum continues for the S2.
