HEIRS EPISODE 5

 

The show opens with Tan discovering that ES lives in his house.  He sees ES rinsing the ribs and understands why ES wrote that she h--{oops, sorry, i accidentally pasted the video clip here and I don't know how to delete it]

ates Jeguk group. KT sees the room where ES and her mother stay.   Ji sook, who is the chairwoman of Jeguk High tells KT that she will not put up with his antics.  KT learns that his brother left the house because of him.  KT visits Won at Won's hotel room.  [Is it because KT has no one on his side that his continues to want his brother's love?]  He finally leaves and eats at home where his mom pretends she cooked all the food.  His mom calls for ES to get some wine and KT panics and leaves  the room.  ES heads towards the wine cellar .  As she is walking, someone turns on the lights.  Won and Sec Yoon have drinks at the hotel bar.  Won accuses Sec Yoon of being on Tan's side.  Who walks in but Esther and Dong wook.  Sec Yoon and Esther, especially the latter, look uncomfortable as the foursome have drinks.  Sec Yoon and Esther start and talk in the hall when Sec Yoon swoops in for a big kiss!  We see ES daydreaming in class.  Now is she thinking of KT or the time she had in America?  Who shows up at ES's school--yup, KT!  The girls at school swoon over KT (in the first of the odd sweaters?) and calls ES to the front.  KT asks for Chan Young's cell.  ES refuses and leaves.  At work, Chan Young calls ES and tells her to look at her SNS where KT has posted a picture of himself "KT is so hot"  lol.  KT finally succeeds in getting Chan Young's cell.  KT calls Chan Young and asks for ES's cell.  KT finally succeeds in getting ES's cells by taking her phone.  Hmm, although she protests, ES doesn't seem that bothered.  While grocery shopping, KT seeks Sec Yoon's advice on getting close to Won.  Sec Yoon tells KT that it is TK's father's fault.  Back at home, Chairman Kim discovers Won and    have been seeing each other and KT is becoming involved with ES.  While cleaning the room, Hee Nam learns that ES's ambition is to get a job and feels badly.  While walking home, Myung Soo spots KT and welcomes him home.  Just as ES is going to open the door, ES walks out.  KT tries to blend into the wall to no avail.   At jeguk High Bo Na acts surprised when Chan Young tells her that KT is back.  Bo Na yells at Rachel for not telling her that KT is back.  Returning to her locker, Young Do asks Rachel if it's true that KT is back.  He learns that she didn't know either.  Young Do tells Rachel to ask KT about his mother.  Chairman Kim offers ES a scholarship to Jeguk High as Hee Nam is serving Chairman Kim.  madam Han is stunned by the offer.  ES learns that she is transferring to Jeguk High.  She tells her mom she doesn't want to go because it is so expensive.  Chairman Kim tells ES that Jeguk offers study abroad program.  We meet Young Do's dog    .  Young do learns that he has dinner with his soon to be step mother and step sister.  Young Do tells Esther how he got his dog.  Esther excuses Young Do when dong Wook arrives and Rachel follows him.  Young Do gives Rachel a ride to the store to buy a new school uniform.  who is at the store?  yup, ES!  The two girls meet .  ES takes Rachel's ID tag in return to the customs declaration Rachel took on the plane.  Young do helps ES leave.  Intrigued, Young Do goes after ES asking about the relationship between ES, KT and Rachel.  ES tells Chan Young that she will be going to Jeguk.  KT is walking around the wine cellar (in another interesting sweater) when he sees a box with his stuff.  ES walks in, KT panics and hides on the other side of the wall from ES.  He hears her convo with ?? .  While walking in the courtyard in the dark, KT tells her to look up where she sees the dreamcatcher .  He tells her to turn;she sees KT and puts two and two together, realizing KT lives at the house and is the 2nd son where her mother is a maid.  KT asks her "Did I miss you?"  He sure asks himself a lot of questions! ES leaves and we see her crying.  KT's mom walks in KT's room and gives him his school uniform.  She tells him that ES will also attend Jeguk High.  The next day, ES is without a school uniform and learns how out of place she is.  ES causes a scene in the hallway until KT arrives.  What seems to be the entire school population goes out to see KT arrive.  Watching the action from above Hyo Shin says to no one in particular that Lucifer has returned to a school full of Satans.  And, in the most electric scenes Young Do arrives to great his old friend when unknowingly, ES walks between the two.....end of episode!

This episode concentrates on KT finding out that ES stays in the same house with him and him deciding the right time to let her know it. The hide and seek game that he plays is pretty cute and sweet. Finally he gets her to look at her Dreamweaver on the 2nd floor. Then the sad part where he loves and wants to be with his brother but his brother rejects him. He asks after his brother, tries to see him and gets rejected. Finally KT meets YD. There is this big secret between them. YD knows KT is a illegitimate. ES likes KT but does not want to encourage the friendship since he is engaged and rich.

Poor Kim Tan worried like a boyfriend about Eun Sang, but she wouldn't give him her number.

 

Eun Sang's mom is such a nice lady, politely blackmailing Madam Han! Well, she's a mother, so she'd do anything for her daughter, to the point of blackmail just to put a roof over her daughter's head. 

 

Kim Tan must have gotten the hang of living a happy-go-lucky life in California, but when his world is shook by Eun Sang, he got into thinking of the possibility of going back to Korea. And so he did. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When he gets back, the first one he visits is his hyung. I admire his respect for his hyung despite his rejection of him. 

 

 

 

From what I see, his father is not that warm to him and his hyung. But I guess his father is aware of the sibling (and legitimacy) rivalry, especially that inheritance is at stake. So father turned a blind eye to the pain that hyung has been inflicting on Kim Tan, and even does not have a memory of hugging him. All because he doesn't want to hurt hyung's feelings. But it's about time Kim Tan came home to his rightful place.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Funny how the house is that huge that they wouldn't know who else is staying in it. But lucky Kim Tan finds out that the girl he's been drawn into has been staying in the same house as his all along!

Episode 5 Comments

 

It's interesting to see that Kim Tan still likes his hyung even though he keeps on rejecting him.

 

 

 

He is hilarious when he scrambles to hide when Eun Sang is about to see him. He even considers hiding under the table. 

 

 

Oh, romantic and thoughtful Kim Tan. He turns on the outdoor lights to light up Eun Sang's path.

 

So when she daydreams about her time with him in America, he suddenly shows up at her school, grand entrance and all. Our smitten boy just won't stop until he gets her number. And oh, his joy when she asks him out to dinner.

 

 

 

 

 

Another hilarious moment when he ducks around the corner of the house gate when she sees him. He seems to enjoy her dragging him by the wrist. And of course he can't wait to have that dinner with her. Another joyful moment for him when he learns that she's been waiting for his call.

 

 

It's interesting how his dad keeps close tabs on him and his hyung. It's also interesting that he offered a scholarship to Eun Sang.   

 

I like that Eun Sang can actually stand up for herself against Rachel, turned the tables on her and took her nametag. Hmm, looks like that even piqued Young Do's interest on her.

 

I didn't quite expect for Kim Tan to reveal himself this early to Eun Sang. But I guess it was triggered when he overheard her phone conversation with Chan Young on how she bid her goodbye to America. Well that includes him, and he didn't want her to bid goodbye to their time together, hence the reveal. And another posed question, "Did I miss you?"

 

 

 

 

Ending scene with Eun Sang between Kim Tan and Young Do - shows interesting things to come.
