Lee Min Ho: After the end of Pachinko, filming began for Ask the Stars, the actor's next kdrama

It is a romantic comedy that will take place on a space station and will star an astronaut and a doctor traveling for tourism. Filming has already started and a photo of Lee Min Ho in her character emerged.

Pachinko , the historical drama starring Lee Min Ho , ended its first season on April 29 and on the same day Apple TV+ confirmed that there will be a second season, although there is no certain filming or premiere date yet. While we wait for that to happen, we will be able to enjoy Lee Min Ho again in a romantic comedy: Ask the Stars .

The kdrama will have as its central characters an obstetrician-gynecologist who travels as a tourist to a space station. There he meets an astronaut named Eve Kim. The chemistry between them flares and they eventually fall in love .

Lee Min Ho's character will play the doctor Gong Ryong, while Gong Hyo Jin will play Eve Kim in this kdrama. According to reports, the preparations for the drama have been going on for five years, as it is the first time that a romcom has been developed on a space station. Filming for Ask the Stars has already begun and an image of Lee Min Ho recently surfaced wearing a typical blue doctor's scrub.

The main cast of the kdrama was recently confirmed, so there are still several months to go before we can enjoy the story and it is still unknown who will be the actors and actresses in supporting roles. The Ask the Stars drama is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2023, so there's still plenty of time to wait .

It's been 12 years since Flowers Over Berries! Keeping "Kyun" in the love scene of Korea's strongest handsome man! Theme's latest work

Released May 17, 2022

Hello, this is a Korean drama group from Yomuno's editorial department.

This time, we will be presenting a new Korean drama that has recently become a hot topic on social media and foreign media. The latest work of the star of the Korean wave Lee Min-ho, known for the series "Flowers over berries", "King" and "Heirs".

Recommended for Korean drama fans who are looking for new Korean entertainment! please check it out!

It's been 12 years since Flowers Over Berries! "Pachinko Pachinko" with a new image and a new increase in fans

Introducing Lee Min Ho's latest work "Pachinko Pachinko", which is known as the new Four Heavenly Kings of Korean handsome actors. The Apple Original series is based on the novel of the same name, which was a New York Times bestseller.

It's no exaggeration to say that he laid the groundwork for the lead role in "Boys Over Flowers," continues to build high ratings for "Heirs," and expands into models and brand ambassadors.

The peculiarity is that there are many fans in Japan. Especially on Twitter and blogs, you can see that the fans create a fan club-like atmosphere and are loved all over the world, such as being called "the best drama of 2022".

Lee Min Ho appears in the latest drama. The final episode will air at the end of April this year, and audience ratings are also a concern. World premiere on Apple TV+, all 8 episodes.

Actors "Pachinko"

The highlight is Lee Min Ho's international popularity. Initially, Lee Min Ho had a lot of English-language scenes and had the image of a good person, but this time he will also appear as a businessman.

Academy Award winning actress Yoon Yoo Jung also appears as Old Man Sungji. He is a big actress who is almost called Korean mother.

Lee Min Ho is dressed as Song Ja, who met an extraordinary man at 16 and went to Japan in search of a better life without being tied down, and Hans, who is an entrepreneur and secretly loves Sun-ya.

Sungji Mohas' second son will be played by actor Park Sohee, Sungji Yangjin's mother will be played by actress Jung Inji, Mohas Solomon's son will be played by actor Jin Ha, and pastor's younger brother Isaka, wife of Yosep Kyunghee, will be played by actress Jeon Eun-chae.

In addition, Japanese actors have been mobilized, such as actress Kaho Minami, who plays Mohasa's lover Etsuko.

The world has a great view of history and family at different scales!

Pachinko is a drama about the family history of Korean immigrants spanning four generations, and the production value is about 100 billion won (about 10 billion yen).

Lee Min Ho will be familiar with the English speaking scene as there are many characters (sergeants and millionaires settings) who come and go overseas first.

However, the attention is drawn to the magnificent design. A realistic Canadian site recreating a Korean fish market from the Japanese colonial era. Now, when it comes to diversity in the back-and-forth environment between Korea, Japan, and the US, different languages and human models have become a hot topic with a Hollywood-like worldview. I am convinced that this is also the reason why the whole world, including the United States, is attracting attention.

I think the detailed images of the kiss scene and bed scene will give Lee Min Ho the opportunity to get his heart back. Before filming, the expert interviewed the actors and dealt with emotions and psychology.

This work is overwhelming not only for fans of Korean dramas and romantic comedy genres, but also for those who love Western films and those who love historical stuff.

Please come and experience the depth of Korean history and drama with Pachinko.

Tight and addictive historical drama: because Pachinko is a series that will conquer all

Lorenza NEGRI May 16, 2022

Lee Min Ho, pachinko star

The differences between the series and the novel can be summed up in the presence of Lee Min Ho, almost a deity in South Korea. The 35-year-old actor became an idol over a decade ago with "Boys Over Flowers". the seminal teen drama for a generation; recalled by dozens of Asian brands, as well as Hugo Boss and Fendi, today he is one of the most important influencers on the planet with an Instagram profile of thirty million followers.

Soo Hye, the show's producer, capitalized on her massive popularity by greatly expanding the character of Ko Hansoo. In fact, he did more: turned him from a tough and opaque bad boy to a bad boy with a tragic past and an irresistible look.

Lee Min Ho admitted to being inspired by The Godfather's Al Pacino and gangster stories from the 1940s, but costume designer Chae Kyung-hwa dressed Hansoo as a cross between the handsome Lucky Luciano and the very elegant Al Capone: wrapped in flawless stripes, clothes crowned with borsalino, the charm of a beauty from other times, a face of a dangerous and vengeful type...

Lee-Min-Hoo K-Dramas that we love

By whizbliz@vectormob.com- May 16, 2022

Our favourite Korean actor, Gun Jun Pyo or Jun Ji-Hyun, has an alluring charisma. He is also one of South Korea’s highest-paid performers. His show ‘Boys Over Flowers’ is credited for spreading the Hallyu movement outside of Korea.

Min-ability ho’s was recognised at the 45th Baeksang Arts Awards, where he was named Best New Actor. His wax figure, the only actor from South Korea, is also on display in the Madame Tussauds Museum. Let’s take a peek at some of our favourite Prince Charming’s tragedies.

Boys Over Flowers

For many K-dramas fans, this episode served as an official introduction to him. This drama helped Lee-Min-Ho gain a large following. Geum is the protagonist of the narrative. Jan Di is a quiet young woman who works at her parents’ dry cleaners. After an incident, she ends up at a prestigious high school, where she meets the F4. Teachers are silent in the face of the institution’s four affluent, arrogant, and handsome leaders. Jan ina approaches the leader, who reprimands her for her rude behavior. Will she be able to continue at that school despite the bullying or will she be forced to leave?

Personal Taste

Lee-Min-2010 Ho’s rom-com series is an underappreciated programme. The drama has an original narrative that centres on romance. Jeon Jin Ho is an architect whose home was stolen by his father’s partner after his father died. His primary goal is to recover his house. When he receives a new project that would help him reach his objective, he finds himself in a scenario where he will have to live with a female in order to accomplish his ambition. What will he do now?

The Heirs

The Heirs is a film about a group of affluent and privileged high school students who are about to take over their families’ businesses. In this series, Min-ho plays Kim Tan, an heir to the Jeguk Group, a massive Korean business. Kim Won (Choi Jin-hyuk), Kim Tan’s brother, banished him to America to take over the family company. While in the United States, Kim Tan meets and falls in love with Cha Eun-sang (Park Shin-Hye). Their relationship had numerous ups and downs while in Korea, particularly in high school. She also has to deal with a love triangle involving Kim Tan (Lee), the Kim family scion, and his rival Choi Young-do (Kim Woo-bin).

Korean superstar reappears in the first half of 2022: Lee Min Ho successfully transforms

Noodle Quang 11:05 - 17/05/2022

The last few months have definitely been a happy time for Korean moviegoers as a number of well-known actors have returned one after the other. Without thinking twice, I can name a bunch of names like Son Ye Jin with Thirty Nine, Park Min Young with Forecasting Love And Weather, Kim Tae Ri with Twenty Five Twenty One, Lee Min Ho with Pachinko, Ji Chang Wook with Sound Of Magic... So let's evaluate what the reappearance of these major stars is like.

Lee Min Ho

After a hiatus in 2021, Lee Min Ho reappeared in 2022 with Pachinko with a completely different look than his previous roles. Although it's just a web drama and not a TV show, I think this Hallyu superstar comeback is more successful than The King: Eternal Monarch drama, which was predicted to be very popular...

Ko Han Soo's role in Pachinko is a strong transformation of a male god born in 1987. In particular, Ko Han Soo is not a gentleman in love affairs.

For me, Lee Min Ho's comeback is extremely successful and impressive, proving his acting ability and not being monotonous, as long as he dares to challenge, the results will be sweet...

This 2022 is indeed a flourishing year for Korean TV with many hot movies being released and big stars appearing very loudly as well. Although there are successful returns, there are also unsuccessful ones, but I always look forward to the return of big stars, because they will attract and make the audience look forward to the film. I hope the second half of 2022 will also be full of good works and famous stars again.

Top Korean stars who came back in 2022: Lee Min Ho no longer a one-trick pony?

May 17, 2022

The first half of 2022 has been filled with K-drama projects that star the top Korean actors and actresses.

It has been a pretty great time to be a K-drama fan, seeing that big names have constantly appeared in recent works. For example, we have Son Ye Jin with “Thirty Nine”, Park Min Young with “Forecasting Love and Weather”, Kim Tae Ri with “Twenty Five Twenty One”, Lee Min Ho with “Pachinko”, and most recently, Ji Chang Wook with “The Sound of Magic”. So, below are how these works have performed with such stars in their cast list.

Lee Min Ho

After not having any new work for 2021, Lee Min Ho returned in a completely different image for the 2022 series “Pachinko”. While the series is exclusive to Apple TV+, it managed to achieve better reviews compared to Lee Min Ho’s previous work “The King: Eternal Monarch”, which ended up performing below expectations.

Lee Min Ho returned in a completely different image for the 2022 series “Pachinko”

In “Pachinko”, Lee Min Ho transformed into Koh Han Su, the first love interest of the female lead. This character first appeared just as rich as Lee Min Ho’s previous character, but as the show went on, managed to show more complexities with his turbulent past and jaded personality.

In “Pachinko”, Lee Min Ho transformed into Koh Han Su, the first love interest of the female lead

Lee Min Ho’s 2022 return has truly proven the megastar as more than a one-trick pony, and is an evidence that challenges are no issue to the actor.

[SC Focus] Park Seo Joon, Lee Min Ho, Jung Ho Young, no barriers... Actors who lowered barriers on the global stage

[Sports Chosun Ji-yeon Moon] The world stage wide open by 'Squid Game' Lee Jong Jae and 'Minari' Yoon Yeo Jung is just around the corner. Ma Dong Suk and Park Seo Joon, who naturally entered the Marvel Universe, Lee Min Ho from “Pachinko” and Jung Ho Young from “Disclaimer,” Korean actors who have definitely broken the wall are now feeling natural.

As the competitiveness of K-content is growing day by day, it is no wonder that domestic series and films are doing well overseas, and at the same time, overseas directors are also receiving calls to love Korean actors...

There is another star who courageously overcame the big hurdle in her audition and entered the world stage. Lee Min Ho, who first auditioned about 13 years after Flowers Over Berries (2009) through Pachinko, is the main character. Lee Min Ho went through numerous stages of audition and acquired Pachinko's Go Han Soo.

Recalling the process at that time, Lee Min Ho said, “It was a very good process for me. It reminded me of who I was 13 years ago and again passionately I felt like I was being reborn because I was in a position where I had to be selected and directly judged." In fact, Lee Min Ho joined "Pachinko" after auditioning in various combinations with Kim Min Ha and other prominent actors, and was well received by local and overseas viewers because it was also a new challenge and adventure.

In addition, Lee Min Ho orchestrated what he approached as a romantic in home dramas and took charge of the darkness in Pachinko. This new challenge was an opportunity to demote the stars on the world stage, and received positive feedback from overseas viewers...

Now the speed at which the world is looking for Korean stars is increasing. The boundaries of the world stage are disappearing due to the revitalization and acceleration of OTTs such as Korean stars wishing to audition and new talents being welcomed by the masters in line. In "Pachinko," many Korean actors, including Jung Woon-in, actually participated in the auditions, showing their enthusiasm for advancing to the world... The interest of global directors looking for Korean stars is expected to grow.

Can't help but to notice his adam's apple in the first tweet

@CarolynH  yes, LMH has big Adam's apple. Some people have larger Adam's apples than others. They say that when you have one you have a larger voice box. I think I believe on that since LMH tends to have a deeper voice. And I do agree with you - his Adam's apple is so visible in the 1st tweet.   :heart2:

@nina_mitrokhina  thanks for sharing this. So, in cinemas this time..... Unfortunately, it will only be available in Korea and no confirmation yet whether it will also be screened internationally. This is COOL since viewers can enjoy a more intense experience through bigger screens. Scheduled filming and other details for the sequel (S2) are still confidential. But, I'm glad that Lee Min Ho will make his return in the upcoming new season.   :Megathanks:

@willenette, Yes, I totally agree with you - it would be great if "Pachinko" as a feature film was shown in theaters all over the world. Maybe it will be a test screening and if the experience is good, then there is hope to see this beautiful drama on the big screen. I dream and hope so!

One of the most popular actors of the moment is Lee Jung Jae... Him positioning himself among the Hallyu actors alongside Lee Min Ho. During an interview, Lee Jung Jae talked about Lee Min Ho and his admiration for his acting career.

Lee Min Ho is one of the most recognized actors in the world of K-Dramas Since the start of his career 16 years ago, the actor has played iconic roles in such landmark dramas as Boys Over Flowers and The Heirs. His most recent Pachinko appearance has drawn much attention from thousands, including Lee Jung Jae.

If you are a fan of K-Dramas surely you have seen Lee Min Ho's performance on occasion. Not for nothing is he considered one of the leading exponents of Hallyu worldwide. For this reason, it is normal that he is on everyone's lips. Lee Jung Jae couldn't help but talk about Lee Min Ho in his recent interview and praised not only his acting career, but also the person that the 'Personal Taste' actor is. What did he say about him?

In an interview with the lead actor of Squid Game, Lee Jung Jae was asked what he thought about Lee Min Ho. To which Lee Jung Jae was quick to reply about his honest opinion of the 'Pachinko' actor. Lee Jung Jae mentioned that Lee Min Ho was someone from whom one could learn many things. Not only in the acting field, in which he is very talented, he also has many other talents and abilities that left the actor surprised. Similarly, he mentioned that even though he was older than Lee Min Ho, he knew that only by watching him could he learn things that he lacked. He is a colleague that he can get to know a lot about.

The 2022 EMMY Awards ceremony will be in September of this year. Among the Best Actor predictions are Lee Jung Jae for Squid Game and Lee Min Ho for Pachinko, both of whom are the only Korean actors in the category. Although the candidates who will compete for the statuette have not yet been confirmed, it would be great to see them both at the ceremony.

I saw a couple of IG posts discussing a birthday gift for LMH in form of a donation supporting Ukraine if anyone is interested.  I don't remember the exact details.

@CallieP and I will begin watching LOTBS using Hulu and teleparty if anyone is interested in joining us.  Ep 1 will be this Sunday at 8PDT unless someone needs an earlier time.

  • CarolynH changed the title to Lee Min Ho ♥ 이민호 ♥ ィミンホ ♥ 李敏鎬 Upcoming Drama 2023: Ask the Stars; [Completed drama on Apple TV+: Pachinko]

Ask the Stars Basic Information

Actor Lee Min-ho and Gong Hyo-jin have confirmed their appearance in the drama Asking the Stars

The writer of "Ask the Stars" is Seo Sook-hyang, a master of romantic comedy who wrote the drama Pasta and Jealousy Incarnate, and directed by Park Shin-woo, who directed "It's Okay to Not Be Okay." The production company for the drama "Ask the Stars" is Keyeast, who was in charge of the drama Hyena.

Actor Lee Min-ho will play the role of gynecologist Gong Ryong, while Gong Hyo-jin will play the role of Korean-American astronaut Eve Kim.

The drama has been filming since April, but it is scheduled to be released in 2023 because the second half of the drama takes longer to be filmed. It seems to be in progress to be released on domestic broadcasting and global OTT at the same time. I think it will cost a lot of money to produce, so I think I need to get some support.
