Thank you for posting Syntyche- it must be because I am British but every time Seven Luck show him in a casino looking like this I always think of James Bond. And thank you also for posting the article  about the ginseng. Goodness knows why but I always feel really pleased when articles say things like “ he is the most popular South Korean in the world”. Just shows what fantastic taste we all have on here!!

Hi syntyche, thanks for sharing this.  It was an unselfish advice coming from him. He's showing more concern for other people than for himself.  He has the quality of not putting himself first. If you're selfless, you think less about yourself, and more about others — LMH is generous and kind. He's an unselfish person who thinks about what is good for other people, not just about his own advantage. :P

Translated excerpts from LMH IG Live (part 2)

Every neighborhood has its special food that it’s famous for and different from the other, so depending on what you want to eat you can select the neighborhood and get to enjoy every part of Seoul that way.

As for Busan it’s Haeundae. And if you go to Haeundae in this season, you’ll find lots of Pojangmacha (tented restaurants on streets), I love eating seafood ramyun from there. I always look for Haeundae’s Pojangmacha whenever I go to Busan.

Thanks for posting this, @syntyche. Re instagram live video: "'I don’t usually go outside' (Minho is a homebody)." Can you imagine the crowd if he did decide to go out for casual dining?! I imagine that's one of the downsides of celebrity. We often see pictures of him eating outside in other places, like Paris.  He can probably get away with that in those countries, although that may be shrinking if he continues to get more famous.

Yup, @MsDot2. It's actually good for him that he's a homebody. It would be challenging for him to go around his hometown/country anonymously. But I'm glad he could still do that when he's abroad. And he gladly shares it with his fans. We may not get much IG updates from him when he is in Korea, but he blesses us with nice photos/vids on his trips abroad. :)

Hi MsDot, this is good & advantage for his safety. We all know that die-hard fans would go as far as stalking celebrities by waiting for hours outside their agencies. This is the reason why they are always photographed wearing facial masks whenever they are in public places. Most Korean celebrities go to very small cafes that are usually managed by someone they personally know, or owned by another celebrity. These cafes are hard to find as they like to keep a very low profile. :P

Hi syntyche, thanks for sharing this.  LMH is a homebody indeed! Ye, Yeonnam-dong is popular for its dining scene, with hip restaurants serving all kinds of food from European to Asian food. This is the latest hot place in Seoul. I do agree with him that Seoul is all about restaurants. So, he loves Haeundae. I guess because he loves beaches. Visiting a fish market is a must for every visit to Busan. Jagalchi Fish Market is extremely famous for it is Korea's largest seafood market. During my 1st visit in Korea some years ago I was intrigued to see rows of tents, clad in orange or blue-striped plastic with see-through plastic windows. I peered through their plastic windows to see seats, tables, food, and people. The people sat in groups with food and drinks, huddling around heaters against the cold outside. I longed to go in. I asked myself  - What were these mysterious places? Ahhh.......they were (and are) the famous pojangmacha of Korea, places where any traveller can stop, briefly or at length, for a bit of inexpensive food. Pojangmacha are something like a restaurant on wheels, a movable bar. You usually see this at Korean dramas. Koreans all know that a pojangmacha is a place you go to drink, and we’re not talking about juice here. hahaha - The next time or when you visit Seoul  —  just look for that flash of orange plastic. Inside you will find a remarkable array of food and a simple but potent range of alcohol. If you don’t speak Korean, don’t worry: everything should be laid out on the cart and you can simply point to the food you want prepared.

Pojangmachas are usually cash-only businesses. No credit cards are allowed. Pojangmachas do NOT have bathrooms. But, that roll of toilet paper hanging in the pochangmacha is your napkin! hahaha - If you are cold, drink some of the hot broth there. It’s free! The main beverage consumed in pojangmacha is soju. :P

Spoiler

I like that JJ teaches SC not to give up once she chooses the person. LOL, he heard her talking about leaving and that freaks him out that he could lose her. :D Then when he found out that the killer has been stalking SC, he gets really worried and won't let her be alone not realizing how strong she is and could easily overcome the killer. JJ finds SC cavorting with fashionista and thinks she is a beggar and does not want to touch her hands ha!

JJ is hard with his dad but he secretly hopes that his dad will come after him. He is rude to SC, saying she can leave him too. He cries when SC comforts him later admitting that he misses his dad . He kisses her and the next day, he is hot and bothered and sweetly makes her lunch. Both LMH and JJH are cute in this episode and when they go shopping, JJH looks fabulous. A lot of funny and interesting parts as the story advances.

10 Cheesy Romantic K-Dramas That Are Total Guilty Pleasures

Let’s be real. There are A LOT of cheesy K-dramas out there. Sometimes we watch a particular scene that we’ve seen countless times before that is off-the-charts cheesy, but we still can’t help but love it. There are various tropes or elements that usually result in a drama giving off a cheesy vibe. Some aspects include an accidental hug or kiss, an over-the-top confession, a background song, and super sweet displays of affection in the form of actions or words. And although these cheesy elements are enough to make us cringe, it still doesn’t take away from the fact that the K-drama is an absolute pleasure to watch. Here’s a look at 10 Romantic K-dramas that are cheesy but a total guilty pleasure.

Warning: Minor spoilers ahead!

6. “Heirs

“Heirs” is a K-drama that stars Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye as two star-crossed high school lovers. The drama was written by Kim Eun Sook, who has written some blockbuster scripts. “Heirs” took Korea and other parts of Asia by storm mainly for its cast, but we can’t take away from the fact that the cheesiness of the series also helped make for a pleasurable watch.

There’s a true divide of people who have watched this series. People either really loved it or really hated it. Those in the former group loved it for its predictability and accepted the cringiness of it all. Take this scene for example:

With the script, the actions, and background music, it makes for quite the cringe-worthy scene. But even with this, it’s so romantic!

“Heirs” is the type of drama that will make you want to cringe but also squeal with joy at the same time.

Start watching “Heirs”:

Hi everyone. With The King the Eternal Monarch  being my first “live” drama I was wondering in  what order events happen. For example does every new drama have a press conference - and is it just before the first episode goes out.? Can press conferences make a big difference to the reception a new drama gets? And final question - The Heirs YouTube video focuses on the cast but do the writer, producer/director also attend?

It’s Friday morning here in the U.K. so wishing everyone a great weekend.

Hi Lindyloo ye, in Korea, there's always a presscon prior the drama's airing. A press conference is an event organized to officially distribute information about the drama & introduce it to the media/people. During the event the cast & the PD answer questions from the media.  They ask them questions on specific topics related to the drama.  This is important as to gain coverage in newspapers, magazines, blogs and on TV news broadcasts. The whole press conference should last no more than 45 minutes, including questions. The writer & producer are not really required to attend but the PD should be there.

Also, there are dramas in Korea that practice having a "Ritual ceremony" prior the airing of drama – this is a prayer ceremony and wish for the drama to have good fortune. :P
