^ If you want to post a picture in your post then you don't necessary have to have a gif file. Any picture file will do (as far as I know). The link you posted from flickr doesn't work if you just hav

I am setting up my own blog because Photobucket wants way more money than they should for the privilege of hotlinking pictures.  Pictures are Soompi's lifeblood so things are gonna get wicked.

 

I know nothing about blogging so initially I set it to "private."  I began transferring pictures from Photobucket, but could NOT get them to post here on Soompi.  When I inserted the url  the box would turn red or pink and would not do anything.  Took me a couple of days to sort that out.  I'm really slow.   Duh.  For what it's worth, if anyone reads this far, I had to change my blog status from "private" to "public".  Now I can hotlink those photos.
