Ki Sung-yueng Announces Wife's Pregnancy in Goal Celebration

Ki Sung-yueng scored his fifth goal of the season for Swansea City during their surprise win against Manchester United at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea, Wales on Saturday. 
Ki converted a low cross from Jonjo Shelvey in the 30th minute to equalize the match at 1-1. Bafetimbi Gomis scored the game-winner for Swansea in the 73rd minute.

Ki is now tied with Park Ji-sung for the most goals by a Korean in an English Premier League season. He was named man of the match by both Sky Sports and Daily Mail newspaper.  
Ki sucked his thumb in a goal celebration in honor of the news that his wife, actress Han Hye-jin, is pregnant. Han's management agency on Sunday confirmed the news and said that the actress is in Korea to take a rest.

Han and Ki got married in July 2013. 
Namoo Actors, Han’s agency, said on Sunday that, “She is in the early stages of her pregnancy.” 
Prior to the press release from Han’s agency, Ki did a thumb sucking celebration after he scored a goal during a match against Manchester United at Liberty Stadium in South West Wales on Sunday, local time. 
Since many football players perform a thumb-sucking celebration when their wives become pregnant, local news outlets ran speculative stories about Han’s possible pregnancy after the match. 
According to the agency, Han is currently staying in Korea, not in Britain. 
She made her acting debut in 2002 and has been actively pursuing her career even after marrying Ki, who is eight years younger than her. 
She has appeared in numerous films and drama series including “Man in Love” (2014) and “One Warm Word” (2013). 
After her most recent film “Man in Love,” in which she pairs up with actor Hwang Jung-min of “Ode to My Father,” she has been taking time off in Britain.

Ki Sung-yueng of Swansea City AFC scored his fifth goal of the season in the team’s 2-1 victory over Manchester United in their match on Saturday and also revealed that he would become a father with a thumb-sucking goal ceremony.
After United midfielder Ander Herrera’s goal in the 28th minute, Ki scored an equalizer within minutes by gently redirecting his teammate Jonjo Shelvey’s cross from the left side of the penalty box.
Immediately after scoring, the 26-year-old briefly put his thumb in his mouth before joining his teammates to celebrate. Shelvey also reacted by sucking his thumb. After the ceremony, fans suspected that Ki’s wife Han Hye-jin is pregnant, which her agency Namoo Actors confirmed Sunday. The agency said she is now 10 weeks pregnant and is staying with her family in Korea.
Swansea City won the match 2-1 at home after a shot from Shelvey deflected off Bafetimbi Gomis and into the net in the 73rd. Ki contributed to the goal with a cross to Shelvey, but it was not counted as an assist because Gomis was recorded as the goal scorer. United failed to score again despite dominating the second half of the match.
British channel Sky Sports chose Ki as Man of the Match and gave him eight points for his performance, the highest of all players on the teams.
“[The goal ceremony] meant nothing,” Ki said shyly after the match in the mixed zone. “I’m very happy to score against United again, and I’m even happier that I’ve contributed to the team’s victory.”
It was also a chance for the team to bounce back from its loss to 14th-ranked West Bromwich Albion FC on Wednesday.
“Since we lost the last round, we desperately wanted to win today. Now we are confident as we won against a strong team and we got three points in a difficult time of the season,” Ki added.
Swansea City is now ninth in the league, 15 points ahead of Burnley FC and Aston Villa FC in the relegation zone, and they are hoping to make it into the top six to qualify for the UEFA Europa League. Swansea is six points behind sixth-placed Tottenham Hotspur FC, which has 43 points. Swansea has never finished in the top six in the EPL but qualified for the Europa League in the 2013-14 season after winning the Capital One Cup.
Manchester United dropped down to the fourth place.
Ki recorded his fifth goal of the season two weeks after scoring against Sunderland AFC on Feb. 8, and he has tied the record for most goals scored by a Korea in an EPL season, with the former national team captain Park Ji-sung. Park had five goals each in the 2006-7 season and 2010-2011 season at the Manchester United. There are 12 games left in the season.
Another similarity between the current and former national team captains is that they tend to be threatening against strong teams. After Ki’s goal on Saturday, fans started calling him “United killer” because he also scored against United when the two teams faced off at the start of the season.

“Han is doing fine, mostly receiving prenatal education,” the agency said. 
Regarding her future plans, the agency said, “Han would like to focus on raising her child, so she will not return to the entertainment scene for a while.”

‘Mother-to-be’ Han Hye Jin, donated nursery products for children in need

According to NGO World Vision, the actress Han Hye-Jin donated one thousand nursery products for Korean children through Philips-avent. 

Han Hye-Jin having the delivery ahead on September, shared love for underprivileged children who could not get love of parents. The donated nursery products including baby bottles and baby food plate will be conveyed to children in twenty facilities in Korea, located all over the country. Yang Seung-Ho the representative of Wold Vision said, “Thank to Han Hye-Jin the ambassador who shows steady interest and sharing to children in Korea, and Philips-avent which supported the products. We will try to make healthy children more.” 

Han Hye-Jin who is appointed as a ambassador of World Vision on 2008, took the lead of sharing for children. She started volunteer by the love lunchbox campaign for poorly-fed children in Korea, and on 2013 she supported medical expenses of twelve families who need urgent surgery including acute leukemia, and cerebellar tumor.

Meawhile Han Hye-Jin married with Ki Sung-Yong on 2013, and she is having the delivery ahead on September. Now she is concentrating on prenatal education.

Actress Han Hye-jin, 34, and her husband Ki Sung-yueng, 26, professional player with Swansea City A.F.C. came back to Korea last month and have been preparing for delivery together. According to a related source, Han Hye-jin and Ki Sung-yueng returned to Korea on May 22nd together and have been staying in Seoul, while preparing for baby's birth due less than three months. When her pregnancy news became public last February, she was staying at her parents' house. And then she left to UK last April to join her husband. She came back with her husband together in 50 days since then. They are going to stay in Korean until the baby is born in September. Fashion magazine Marie Claire revealed the couple's maternity photo. The photo shoot was done when the couple was staying in Swansea City. Mom-to-be actress Han Hye-jin looks ever beautiful in the photos. Han Hye-jin and Ki Sung-yueng got married in July, 2013.

Han Hye Jin and Ki Sung Yueng are expecting a baby girl due in September.

A rep from Han Hye Jin′s agency stated in a phone conversation with Newsen on June 15, "Han Hye Jin and Ki Sung Yueng are having a girl. The two were very happy upon hearing she is a girl." 

Han Hye Jin and Ki Sung Yueng, who were wed in July 2013, shared news of her pregnancy after a year of marriage, and Han Hye Jin left for the U.K. in April to be with her husband. Han Hye Jin, whose baby is due in September, has since returned to Korea for prenatal care. 

The news of a daughter is more welcome as Ki Sung Yueng previously stated during an appearance on SBS′ Healing Camp with Han Hye Jin in 2013 that he wanted a daughter.
