Guest sugarcakes
I have really dull, dead looking lightly tanned skin. the complexion of my face is just.... dead. Is there any way I can brighten it, make it "glow" more? I'm not talking about getting lighter... but just make my skin look livelier... Any advice? i have a little home-made tip that helps your skin looks whiter, healthier, also it helps get rid of pimples too. its very easy to do and the cost is very low. 1. two big teaspoons of fat free PLAIN yogurt 2. two - three teaspoons of fat free milk 3. mix two in a bowl or cup or what have you (make sure the final mixture isn't too thin, if it is. pour out some milk) 4. have a bunch of q tips ready. take one. dip the cotton head fully into the mixture. then just apply it all over your face 'til its dry, then throw it out, take another q tip and repeat. and so on 5. you want to do that all over your face for about 20 minutes a day. 6. afterwards, wash it off with COLD WATER. gently dry it with a towel, apply moisturizer 7. you'll discover a healthy glow in your skin right away. also. to help your skin care products to be completely oborbed by your skin, boil a pot of water on the stove, once its done. stick your face above it (not too close of course), steam it for about 5 minutes. that is to help open up your pores, so when you wash, it cleans deep within. thus help "brighten" your skin. STAY AWAY FROM MAKE UP! a young skin is very beautiful. good luck!
Guest jinhee
using moisturizer that really hydrates your skin is key. i have dark skin too and it was dull and nasty. but then i got a new toner and moisturizer set and my skin is seriously glowing. i love it. i got shisheido purity moisturizer and toner, but just get one that works for your skin type. Guest mangujowa
Erm... I use H2o's Waterwhite Brightening Night Cream. It's cheap, cost me 40 dollars, and the container looks BIG, but. it's actually tiny. =__='' like its a cube, and a small circle inside is what holds the lotion, so yeah, don't be fooled by the size of that thing. GRR. ANYWAYS, yeah, my complexion is brighter, I suppose, plus it just matches my skin type so I even wear it during the day ^^'' AHHAHA. people are trying to make their face more blushy, but I'm trying to make in un-blushy. That's why I use some liquid foundation on my cheeks, to hide my blushy-ness. =__=''

Guest sugarcakes
i forgot to add an important detail to my reply earlier SLEEP EARLY AND RISE EARLY! when i was in college. i was pratically online everynight 'til the crack of dawn playing games, then i would sleep well pass lunch the next day. that is so bad for your skin. our body produces a certain chemical after a certain hours, you want to be in resting mode when that happens. so try to sleep before midnight and rise before 9 am. avoid spending too much time infront of the tv / computer. believe it or not. keyboard produces more radiation than the monitor

Guest cpopbaby19
^yup. i use nivea. (the triple whitening foam) and it's working on my skin little by little. and i think it has vit. e.. but if not, im sure other nivea products have vitamin e on it. avoid spending too much time infront of the tv / computer. believe it or not. keyboard produces more radiation than the monitor lol. how is that? anyway... how is exfoliating and moisturizing different from each other? Guest crystal_clover
how is exfoliating and moisturizing different from each other? (im sorry for being ignorant abt this... ) i've been hearing those words from everyone.. keke Exfoliating is to get rid of the dead skin. You can use scrubs with those tiny micro beads that exfoliate on the surface. Or use chemical exfoliations like AHA or BHA. Moistuizing is to deliver moisture to your skin. They're pretty easy to spot in any skincare shop, just read the details to see if it suits your skin's condition.
