The only drama that has been bucking the trend so far, is Hatsukoi. It's worth checking out.

Summer Rescue is a waste of time. The first episode was a bore and the development probably very predictable. I can't imagine watching each episode anticipating something untoward befalling a character so that there will be someone to treat and enable our protagonist to mature.
