awdark Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Whats a good program for burning disk images? I used to use alcohol 120% but thats giving me tons of problems. I know I can use daemon tools for emulation, I just need something to deal with the bwi, iso, mdf, and whatever other formats I can find Maybe something open source?
DaRkViEt73 Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Dunno about freeware but I use UltraISO which can handle virtually all known formats out there. You can use it to convert anything to ISO format first or try to burn it as-is. I don't know if it'll do everything you want but it's a very handy program nonetheless. Or you could just mount the image then re-rip the virtual cd/dvd using whatever favorite program you have.
awdark Posted March 21, 2007 Author Posted March 21, 2007 Oo so converting to other formats probably wont cause data loss? I have run into issues before where my 1:1 copies weren't really 1:1 eh ill try it... not much to loose other than a few blank disks.

It'll never affect anything normal but out-of-spec copy-protected CDs, weird multi-session images and custom formats will probably not be a 1:1 accurate conversion. I don't know if up-to-date versions of UltraISO or others have improved or perfected conversions to that level or not. My version is 3 years old.
