SPAZ SPAZ SPAZ.

this is better than... hearing Gabbeh say those words!

I wanna eat that DVD case. OMNOMNOMNOM.

Thank you so much, Chula! At least they did not divide the box sets into like... 12 episodes each. That's super annoying.

I really hope I'm putting this in the right place. If I'm not I apologize to the admins and mods. So I LOVE LOVE the drama "Boys Over Flowers" and I saw on YesAsia.com that they're having a good sale going on now for the whole series and I so would like to order this for my birthday. I'm just wondering though how long do these sale's go on for? The original price is a bit much. And has anyone here used them for DVDs? How is it getting from them? I'm guessing they're more official with selling things. Thanks in advanced. :)

hi all. if this post doesnt belong here, pls. transfer to correct place.

i'm a newbie buying kdramas boxed set dvds.

For example, for a particular title say 'x' , i see a 2 set dvd and a 9 set dvd. it looks official with the correct box cover and dvd art too.

I was wondering if there is a difference between getting a 2 set dvd vs. 9 set dvd of the same title.

is the picture quality really significantly worse for the 2-set dvd?

subtitle quality?

overall quality (dvd skips, acts strange, etc)

anything else i should know?

can the 2 set dvd play in any dvd or can it act up?

i want to get a 2 set dvd for a good price, but dont want to be very disappointed if quality is really bad.

thanks

Yes Asia DVD quality great, subtitles are great too, DVDs are not bootleg but the original. The delivery from them usually within the week and there's a sale going on right now! Go on get them... A lot of DVDs are out of stock and many will not be made anymore... Sad.

Can someone please help me? I've been looking for the Korean drama Loving You on DVD. Where can I buy a legitimate DVD set? I'm looking for the English release version and not any other international version. I think it has 5 DVDs or so. I find Chinese and other international versions online, but I'm having trouble locating the English version. I only want the English version because it has the best quality of subtitles and special features. Some places are out of stock. Is anyone interested in selling or knows someone who is selling? I'd be willing to buy it used if there's no damage. Please help!

Hi, guys! I don't know that many people follow this thread any more, but I know I periodically swing by to see if any new info's been added. The original post with all the links hasn't been updated in quite a while, but in just case @chula is still around, I thought I'd add a few more sites and updates that have popped up online since.

You can also get officially licensed, English-subbed R1 DVDs from Borders.com and Right Stuf.

And the MBC America store is now at http://mbcamericastore.com. Unfortunately, HKFlix just shut down, so we lost a resource there.

KBS is now operating MVIBO, which offers a paid streaming program as well as a few DVD box sets and an EOR program.

Sadly, Beautiful Things in Life hasn't been updated in quite a while, but it's still an awesome resource. I post box set pic!spams about one a week at AsianPopShock, but I haven't had much luck find other blogs that do the same. Anyone else?

DVDAsian (http://www.dvdasian.com ) is offering Alone in Love with English subtitles from YA Entertainment. But they say it's FULL SCREEN (which usually means 4:3.) Is this true? I know the drama was aired as 16:9.

EDIT: There is a review at http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film2/DVDReviews33/alone_in_love_drama.htm that says, quite clearly, that the format is 16:9. Case closed.
