should I bother?

I just went to a dollor store today and noticed that they carried many cosmetics. But I was hesitant to try it.... anybody tried stuff from dollor store before? If so please let me know what products are good and what to avoid. Thanks

i've never bought cosmetics from the dollar store,

and i'm very hesitant to.

i really doubt that they would have any effective products..

Nope I've never bought any cosmetics there...if you want something cheap, try NY Colour...it's probably better than the ones at the dollar store.

I wouldn't if I were you. They don't seem trustworthy, and they could get you sick or cause a reaction to them. Unless they sell a brand name that you know of, I suggest you not.

I've never tried them before... and I dont think you should either o_o. They seem a little risky, and may not work well. What ever you're going to put on your skin should AT LEAST be trustworthy.

There's Jordana. Most of their stuff is equal to drugstore brands in quality. I love their eye pencils and eyeshadows! I just wish that they'd sell it more in the dollar stores around my area .

Aziza is also another common dollar store brand. Their eyeshadows are highly pigmented but their shades look too tacky for my liking.

LOL youd think if people got reactions they would recall the brand no?

The worse thing that could happen is you get sucky makeup. Flakey mascara, low pigmentaed shadows, overly sticky lipgloss etc. I don't know how theyre like but it doesnt hurt to try just one no? I mean its just $1.

You HAVE to try the Azziza Cream to Powder foundation. apply it with a brush, dont use the sponge the give you. OMG the MOST FLAWLESS skin ive ever had in my life. Check the reviews on Makeupalleu.

If you find something that works for you, the price shouldnt matter as long as you can afford it. I know for a fact that Jordana is sold at Longs, Walgreens and in dollar stores. Also, dollar store makeup would be good for someone that just wants to practice applying make up since its only a dollars worth of product.

i wouldn't if i were you, the only thing i would get at the dollar store for makeup is the sponges there that comes in a big pack, otherwise..it wouldn'tbe that great an idea. especially since most of the makeup i see in the dollarstore..are the kinds little kids who are 5 would try..

i'm not sure but i'm thinking that it won't be good for acne prone skin or sensitive skin.

also definitely check expiration date. i saw on rachael ray show that makeup expires 6 months after the seal (as in the plastic that covers it or whatever) is broken.

its not like "oh why not? its just 1 buck"

...more like "crap, this cheap stuff can really harm my skin"

it could be very irritating to your skin~~

so if you are looking for good quality yet affordable makeup try drug stores like Walgreen's and whatever other drug store out there~~

they carry a lotta good makeup~~

My friend told me that brand is actually good.

I'm assuming their cosmetics are decent and safe, if they're selling it at all. It really depends on the individual actually.

i buy makeup from the dollar store all the time...

they have maybelline and sally hansen here..

i buy the lip glosses and eyeshadows.
