Phi
Eric is a true example of Tsundere. Looks cold on the outside, but warm inside. “Why should I be most happy? We see each other almost everyday. If you are most happy, you are not that close to each other.” ~ I never thought it that way but it does makes so much sense. 190531 Unexpected Reunion of Shinhwa… Hidden Talkative Side of Eric Revealed in Response to Lee Min-woo’s Appearance in ‘4 Wheeled Restaurant 3’ The hidden talkative side of Eric of Shinhwa was exploded in ‘4 Wheeled Restaurants 3’. We see each other almost everyday. If you are most happy, you are not that close to each other.” However, when Eric was left alone with Lee Min-woo in their room, he revealed his hidden talkative side. Eric was seen telling about Bok’s Food and his own know-hows to Lee Min-woo with much excitement, showing his warm side and made viewers smile. Honestly, I'm a big fan of "Que Sera Sera" among Eric's dramas. I missed it! Well, I have the DVD copy so, I could anytime watch it, anyway. I rewatched it many times . For me, "QSS" was one of the best dramas ever. But, up to now, I wonder why it wasn’t popular at during its time. Is it because it's a big turn off due to endless drama and suffering? It’s dark and quite emotionally heavy that isn’t for the public mass. Hahaha - dear, I love that scene, too! Who wouldn't? Well, this is certainly interesting news from you that he's coming back to dramaland. I guess it doesn’t have a broadcaster or air date confirmed yet? Super happy that I can get to see Eric soon in the small screen. I love the OST from the original............. I really wish they will keep the old soundtrack in this remake. For me, it is one of the best drama soundtracks of all time. And it’s pretty cool that they’re getting the gang back together after so many years! Will see when more details comes out. I love Eric-Yumi pairing. They just too natural as a couple. They had the perfect cast with great chemistry. I guess they would make the intent modern? I think they will remake it with more accessible approach. I hope that in the remake they give it a happy ending because the original was open ended. Eric is an actor who is specialist in portraying dysfunctional characters - LOL - but not psychopaths. Although, he doesn't "always" playing this kind of roles. His chemistry with female leads also made fans rooting for him. His hard work to bring his character to life placed him on the map. I'm interested in an update about this.............. I personally think because it was dark and focused more on the characters' complex emotions than some makjang stuffs that was popular around that time. To be quite honest, I don't really mind makjang since it makes some interesting plot. I find it's funny with k-drama watchers that they despise makjang dramas but when something that real (even if with flawed characters), they can't take it. Real life is not all rosy and fluffy. As for Eric's casting, I don't think Eric is 'specialized' in dysfunctional characters just because the last 2 or 3 of his entire career. Aren't most Korean drama male leads are annoying and arrogant and dysfunctional? It's funny how some of the people on Dramabean kinda subtle shade him for the roles he played. Geez... as if some one always plays villain like Shin Sung-Rok, is he a bad person or he is the character that he played? I swear some drama peeps are so over the top. I hope Eric takes this one. I don't care about the rating, the PD and writer are good (she was norminated for Baeksang for best writing with her last work. Rating is out of anyone's control, so if the writing is good I rather that Can't wait to for the development on this drama project. It would be funny if it's with MBC again... since we have the original PD & writer, the pending original leads... why not the same broadcaster
Phi
190606 "4 Wheeled Restaurant 3" Shinhwa’s Lee Min-woo X Eric, ‘Burger Pro’… “How Could We Sell Hamburgers in America?” In ‘4 Wheeled Restaurants 3’, a tvN variety show that was broadcasted on June 6th, the members who started the second sale in San Francisco was captured. In the episode, Lee Yeon-bok prepared Tteokgalbi mix for the hamburger. He then suggested Eric and Lee Min-woo to be in charge of the burgers by saying, “Since Eric is very meticulous, so let Eric be in charge of hamburger. I am very busy making kimchi fried rice so you two, please be in charge of making burgers.” Lee Min-woo was moved saying, “I get to sell hamburger in America” and he drank an energy drink even in early morning. The production team was worried about him saying, “When are you going to sleep?” but Lee Min-woo said “I don’t think Eric is going to sleep. In fact, he will not sleep when he is focused on one thing.” As Lee Min-woo said, Eric seemed excited while saying “How can I fall to sleep after receiving a mission?” Eric and Lee Min-woo came up with an opulent spicy jalapeno sauce for Tteokgalbi patty. While developing the sauce, Eric turned the bread around used it as toast bread after saying “How about if we make it like this?” Lee Min-woo added additional comment by saying “There is a difference in texture between the pressed bread and un-pressed bread” and he flattened the bread. He decided to use vegetables as minimum as possible to not nullify the taste of Tteokgalbi. Lee Min-woo helped Eric with his best to realize the recipe that was in Eric’s brain. The scene where Eric brought up an idea and Lee Min-woo realized the idea seemed as if they have worked with each other for a long time. The venue for Day-2 in San Francisco was Hayes Valley, also called as ‘Yeonnam-dong of San Francisco.’ It is the place often visited by hipsters as it is full of unique multi shops. Before the sale, members tried to have a taste of Tteokgalbi burger made by the two people. John Park commented ‘Very delicious. It is very good as the bread was pan-fried.’ Heo Kyung-hwan also said ‘Yummy. It tastes different from hamburger. I can taste Tteokgalbi more. I think we should add more vegetables.’ Even though the burgers were made with the sincerity and efforts from Eric and Min-woo, it did not sell well. The popularity of kimchi among Americans was amazing. Kimchi fried rice and Samgyupsal rice were overwhelmingly more popular compared to Tteokgalbi burger. After contemplating, Eric asked John Park to change the location of menu. And when John Park shifted the Tteokgalbi burger board to be in the utmost front, the attention of customers began to be centralized. Customers consecutively ordered Tteokgalbi burger and 3 orders for burger were received in the blink of an eye. There was a funny scene where a customer who disappeared after eating the burger within 40 seconds. Eric smiled with delight after Tteokgalbi burger made by him and Minwoo started to become popular. Eric and Minwoo continued making their sales without any mistake, showing a strong teamwork as expected from those who have been friends for 21 years. In ‘4 Wheeled Restaurant 3’, the cast members actually sell things to the foreigners. Not even a mistake can be accepted as this is real sale. Everyday Eric and Lee Min-woo finished the sale successfully by complementing each other’s weaknesses. Many are looking forward to see the future teamwork between the two. Phi
190507 #4WheeledRestaurant 3 Shinhwa’s Eric ♥ for Bok’s Food: “I Would Not Have To Worry About The Living If I Do Business With This Team” Shinhwa’s Eric from ‘4 Wheeled Restaurants 3’ showed his love for Bok’s Food. On ‘4 Wheeled Restaurants Season 3’ broadcasted on June 6th, Bok’s Food that challenged with the new menu, ‘Tteokgalbi Burger’ and ‘Bok Burger’ was shown. In the preview, Chef Lee Yeon-bok seemed to be disappointed for not being able to do something as he planned. Eric, who was preparing food with Lee Min-woo, turned over as he said “This is not good” after he tried tasting the food. It triggered the curiosity. Gaining many nicknames as Yangpa-ric, Mandu-ric, E-Rabbit during the show, he showed off his various skills through previous episodes of ‘4 Wheeled Restaurant 3’. He is getting lot of interest in what kind of troubles he will face in this broadcast. Eric’s unexpected charm was revealed as he showed his hidden talkative nature after Lee Min-woo joining the team in the last episode. He mentioned his teamwork with Lee Min-woo in the Q&A session in his official SNS. It caught many peoples’ attention as he answered “That guy really knows how to work” to the question “How many points would you like to give to him (Minwoo).” Eric especially expressed his exclusive love towards Bok’s Food. To the question “What was your impression after working in Branch 3 of Mokran?”, he responded honestly “If sale is done with this team, I would not have to worry about living” in response to the question. willenette
K-Drama Actors Whose Intense Kiss Scenes Made Us Blush While the status quo has changed a bit in recent years, Korean dramas tend to play it safe when it comes to physically intimate scenes. This means that the kiss scene, as the height of romantic intimacy, is the crucial turning point in any K-drama relationship. Kisses in K-dramas can be surprising (cue the classic wide-eyed reaction from the female lead), creative with props (the toast scene from “Pinocchio,” anyone?), or accidental (the classic “fell down on top of someone’s lips” cliché). The best of them, however, are sweet and tender and romantic, making all the hours we’ve invested into the characters’ love story worth the wait. In addition to our previous list, here are seven actors who have made us blush with their intense kiss scenes: Eric Mun No list of famous K-drama kiss scenes would be complete without “Another Oh Hae Young,” which propelled Seo Hyun Jin into the spotlight and cemented Eric’s status as an amazing kisser. Their passion in every kiss scene proved that they didn’t need a clever setup (though they often had one) to make each scene memorable. Eric, however, also proved his kissing skills as early back as “Que Sera Sera,” which was recently announced to be getting a second season. It’s Korean onomatopoeia, which is sound word that phonetically imitates, resembles the sound that it describes) Day 7 was now in San Francisco! Bok’s Food marching to San Francisco!! After seeing Lee Min-woo, who was joining the team, Eric’s real response was“Why you are here?” As expected from the same band mates Couple look, twin look with the fluorescent color! Phi
190606 [Top Media] RECAP #4WheeledRestaurant EP.08: Eric, The ‘God of Sales’ that Became E-Chef, ‘Master of Tteokgalbi Burger’ Hello Orange Princesses Your content manager is here! I believe you have already watched the broadcast last night! So shall we have a review together? Kkakdugi fried rice that appeared for a short bit last week! It was a big hit as expected! They are flooded with orders due to its amazing popularity! There is a dependable E-ciple beside Chef Lee Yeon-bok! Not only he is dependable, but now he is Lee Yeon-bok’s E-Musae (t/n: E-Musae = Eric + parrot as Eric repeated himself) Lunch time was coming soon! And this also meant that customers were going to come like a wave! However, as it was expected to keep the orders for Kkakdugi fried rice E-ciple’s support began again! With his support, the orders were not piled up and all sold out successfully~ After delivering the food to the last customers directly by himself, Day-7 ended! What was the menu for Day-8? Yes, the Bok’s Food style burger, that was shown in the last trailer, was the new menu of Bok’s Food this time! In the process of preparing Tteokgalbi burger Eric’s precision onion cutting just like Yangpa-Ric Summoned Eric, the one in charge of onions.. Yangpa-ric, who was reading people’s face after being surprised Please stare with aegyo……. (from Orange Princesses) Tteokgalbi burger that was entrusted by Chef Lee Yeon-bok! Hence, we have Ric-Min = Burger Bros So what would they add to complete the burger? As the great responsibility was entrusted to them, RicMin bros couldn’t take a step away from the kitchen At the end of the overnight R&D, Ttokgalbi burger preparation was completed with the optimal recipe! Day-2 of business in San Francisco! The location was Hayes Valley, also called as Yeonnam-dong of San Francisco The wonderful chemistry of Ric-Min which was expected from the very beginning finally shined here Is it because of Ric-Min chemistry? The first independence of Burger Bro was a success! (feat. Tteokgalbi patty from the Shifu) However, because of the super high popularity of Kkakdugi fried rice, Orders for delicious Tteokgalbi burger didn’t come often… So he contemplated, contemplated and contemplated again And he decided to switch the display order of the menu! So, what was the outcome? As expected.. how many talents does he have… The formula of this show that everyone knows ‘Eric = God of Sales’ Following after the hotdog’s case, he became one with burger As the orders became active, Eric also became active. Ttaokgalbi Burger! And Kkakdugi Fried Rice too! Captured the heart of San Francisco (claps claps) But it feels like something is missing right? So our Bok-mandu also came back to capture the heart of San Francisco! And it is not the ordinary Bok-Mandu but it is Galbi Mandu! Please look forward to the mandu parade from Bok’s Food staffs that began again! And now is the Ricpisode & Event Time that all of you were looking forward! This week is Rest-RIC Rest-RIC ㅠㅠ (t/n: on this day, Eric and Andy flied back to Korea from Spain after completing the filming for “The Barber in Seville”, so no Q&A) Unfortunately we had to take a break! Please continue to leave your sincere comments and hearts as usual! See you next week! Bye~~ Source: Top MediaTranslation: EricMun.tumblr
