here's the lyrics for the songs above:

"I'll be by your side forever"

I always knew you were the one

Something inside just told me

But at that time God wasn’t done

Making the woman you’ve become

Now you’re much more than a chum

Girl, so please don’t leave me now

CHORUS:

I’LL BE BY YOUR SIDE FOREVER

Baby, I’ll leave you never

Please won’t you stay forever

Together we’ll be better

I’ve felt this way for you some time

Just was afraid to say it

Now you know what’s been on my mind

Won’t you give me some kind of sign?

Won’t you say that you’ll be mine?

Show me what you’re feeling now

CHORUS

Girl, need to know what’s on your mind

Tell me what you’re thinking now

CHORUS

"I'm coming back for you love"

Remembering when you were mine

Brings feelings so sweet to my heart

‘Cause you and me, we did just fine

We hit it off right from the start

Why’d we ever part?

CHORUS:

I’M COMING BACK FOR YOUR LOVE, now baby

I’m coming back just to be with you

I’M COMING BACK FOR YOUR LOVE, now baby

Love leads me to you

And ever since I went away

I’ve tried to find somebody new

‘Cause I need a woman today

But nobody loves like you do

I’m a fool for you

CHORUS

When I rise in the morning

I’m awakened by the blazing sun

I say thank you to Jesus

And I go on out for my morning run

I take a look at creation—all around

God gives me inspiration

To make this joyful sound

CHORUS:

GOD IS UP, DOWN, ALL AROUND

No matter where you go

He is here, there, everywhere

God is always with his people

I take a drive to the country

Wanna spend some time being all alone

I know my God is with me

And I thank Him for the love He’s shown

I take a look at creation—through these eyes

God’s the real explanation

How can some think otherwise?

CHORUS

here's another song--

"Another Number":

http://www.broadjam.com/player/player.asp?...ile=5366_381621

and here's the lyrics for the song, and no, I don't hang out in bars, but as a songwriter, you don't have to live everything you write, you just have to convince the audience that you have....

"Another Number"

I met this tall blonde girl at the bar down the street

She looked real good in a short red dress

I bought both of us a drink and we had a little talk

She told me I’m cute, but I could only guess

How many times she used that line

I do the same thing all the time

As I left with her number, I had one thing on my mind

CHORUS:

Lord, please don’t let her be another number

‘Cause I’ve added way too many to the sum

In the beginning it was fun, but now I think that it’s just dumb

Oh Lord, please don’t let her be another number

Well that affair came to an end and I had to start again

And I thought I’d look in a better place

I started hanging out at church and I met a sweet girl there

And I hoped it would be a different case

But the ending was the same

It was a short term escapade

As I search for a new girl, I have one thing on my mind

CHORUS

I don’t know if it’s me, or if it’s them

All I know is I want this madness to end

CHORUS

HOly Crapperz, that's impressive. i love how you can have the determination to finish songs. I've tried a few times to write something, and it's always only the intro.

I like you're lyrics, they're not ur usual straight foward teeny blooper lyrics....and the music was awesome =)

I'm sorry, I do have teeny blooper lyrics, I guess pretty shallow teeny blopper lyrics I guess.

After I saw your post again, I realized that I recently posted two of that type of songs in post #65, and post #66

I'm sorry if I disappoint you....

I have some songs with deeper lyrics, some really personal ones that I haven't posted yet, but yeah, I got some like that....sorry

Thank you for the kind words.

Just keep writing. The more you write, the better you get at it.

On the music side of songwriting, one of the hardest things to do when you write a song, is to come up with different sections that match. Many of the songs today are in VCVC form or VCVCBC form (where V is verse, and C is Chorus, and B is bridge, and sometimes you have a pre-Chorus section just before the Chorus). Anyway, in these forms, you want the Verse and Chorus (and Bridge if there is a Bridge) to contrast somewhat so as not to be too repetitive, but if they are too different, the two sections might sound like they belong in two different songs, so there is a fine line there.

There are different song forms that you can write in, like V V B V form, which many of the old standards from the 1940's, 1950's etc. were written in.

Of course, you can just throw out forms, and create a song with a unique form, there is nothing wrong with that. But if you want to make a song that is commercial/popular, most songwriters will follow forms that are proven successful, like the VCVC form, etc.

I think that I mentioned before that to me, writing lyrics is much harder than writing music. For most of the songs that I write, the music for the song is done in 15 minutes literally, but the lyrics take me many hours, dozens of hours to write. But there are songwriters who are the opposite, where the lyrics come very quickly and naturally but the music is harder for them.

I'll look for your thread.

Thank you for the kind comments.

but I think I mentioned it before somewhere in this thread, that I sing for practical reasons. I hire professional singers to sing on my songs that I think have at least some kind of potential, but I can't afford to hire a professional singer for every one of my songs, because most pro singers charge around $150 to sing on your song, and I have over a hundred songs!!! So as you can see, I can't really afford to pay pro singers to sing on every song I write, so for some of my songs, I sing them myself to save money.

so I sing for practical reasons....but thanks again for the compliments!!!
