EH = eunho

JH tells YS about EH's behavior and asks YS what he thinks of the situation. YS says when ppl feel like life is full of regret they may choose the ultimate regret.

at night JH watches EH and wonders if she's headed for suicide....

JH thinks of a plan, and tells EH they should go to choon-cheon on the night train together. EH agrees and when she's on the train JH calls and says she took the bus instead and they should meet at choon-cheon when they get there.

meanwhile JH 'tricks' DJ and he finds EH on the train.

DJ: what do you think you're doing!

DJ hugs EH tightly.

EH: huh? what are you doing?

DJ: where are you going? are you gonna go die?

EH: train... trip...

DJ: so what trip? death trip?

EH: to choon-cheon.. night coach....

DJ: oh for fun?

the train has left and the two are in the coach together. meanwhile YK is waiting for DJ to pick her up from work.

aboard the train DJ shows EH the note JH gave him and wonders how thoughtless JH is. EH apologizes and DJ is still angry...

just then JH and JP are at the bar and JP asks her if she knows what she's done and reminds her DJ is a married man.

JH says she knows and she regrets but she needed to do something about her sister....

JP gets up and tells JH to go with him to apologize to YK. JH says she can't but JP leaves... JH remains and cries.

DJ calls YK from outside the coach, and says he's gonna be late and apologizes saying he'll explain later.

DJ goes back in and continues to complain about JH to EH...

EH: i did say that. i did tell JH living is tedious. and to be honest, i was a little sad.. after suddenly not seeing the face i saw for 6 years. you know something like 'lee dong-jin unavailable'.. but i'm not gonna die or something like that. dying is really scary. i'll get better as time goes. so don't worry about me.

DJ: why would i worry about you.

train conductor announces the current stop.

EH: why don't you get off at this stop. if you go back from here you won't be too late. if you don't get off here you'll have to go all the way to choon-cheon.

DJ: i know.

EH: i'm gonna go to the bathroom so you take care and leave.

EH gets up and the train stops to let ppl out at this stop, but DJ does not get off. EH puts her hand where her heart is and DJ asks why she always does that.

EH: when i was little. when my mom died... and i saw my mother at the hospital i was scared.. seeing mom like that.. wondering if she's really dead.. and i put her hand on my heart and it was cold. not like icy cold but the feeling like it's death. it was lifeless cold.

that's when i started this. whenever something's happened i would put my hand on my heart and i know my heart is warm, it's beating, and alive. dong-ee... how did his heart feel? was it cold?

DJ: (says nothing)

EH: i heard about it all from joon-pyo. what did you say to.. our baby... all night?

DJ: i said sorry. (omg i can't bare this my keyboards are wet)

EH: you were so kind. that night i was only worried about my own sorrow but you were so kind. you know you should've got off earlier. you're in big trouble now.

DJ: i know.

EH: and i'm in big trouble too.

meanwhile JP meets with YK and apologizes to her on behalf of JH, explaining what's happened. JP asks her if she's ok and YK says whenever something happens that requires emotions to show she doesn't act immediately and it's like that now.

JP: i'm sorry.

YK: or maybe i expected this seeing how DJ tries so hard.

JP: i'm sorry.

YK: why are you sorry.

JP: i'm just sorry.

YK: because you're his friend? i'm his wife. (smiles then looks down)

at choon-cheon, DJ and EH are walking...

DJ: how many more years would i live? let's say 80. so 48 more to go. i'm not saying it's not endurable now. i can still go on living like this. when i'm sleepless i can just eat sleeping pills and when i'm out of breath every now and then well that doesn't count as illness it'll heal eventually.. after 40 then after 50 every now and then i'll think yup it's not bad living like this, but would i really be ok?

EH: (says nothing and tries to pass him)

DJ: eunho ya.

EH: you can't say it.

DJ: i know it's not okay and i know i'm doing wrong here but do you really think we'll be okay like this?

EH: (walks pass him) don't say it.

DJ: okay since i'm a dummie i had to come all the way here to say this... you mean that kind of talk?

EH: (yells) don't talk. you said so yourself. would we be okay even if we started again? are you sure we can overcome the thing about dong-ee. do you think we'll be happy til the end? if we don't know for sure it's not right to make another person suffer.

DJ: how can we be sure about anything in life.

EH: i know for sure we can't be doing this. it's too late for this. if we were to choose we should've done it much sooner.

DJ: i'm saying this because it's now later. what about much later. would you think the same? that it's too late now? about yookyeong. i'll apologize to her. i'll apologize to her my whole life.

EH: no.

DJ: what do you think i should do after knowing this feeling exist? do you think it's right for me to go back to her like this?

EH: (shakes head and walks off)

EH continues to walk, passing by a couple holding hands. EH stops and pauses.

next EH calls her father as a caller for his show.

EH: 'i'm miss k who lives in won-joo. there's this guy i love. i've loved him for a long time. lately i realized i can't live without him, but he's already a married man. minister, what should i do? what am i to do.

dad: are you sure about your feeling? are you sure you can't live without him.

EH: sometimes i thnk i can and sometimes i just cry, and so but when i think i can't see him anymore living has become tedious.

dad: how does the other guy feel?

EH: he wants to start over with me.

dad: it's a hard question. miss k, god said, thou shall not lie.

EH: in fact it's impossible isn't it.

dad: it's not right to lie to others but it's not right to lie to yourself. go with your heart.

EH: ..(taken back)

dad: didn't you say you can't live without him and he without you? go with what your heart tells you to do.

EH: but i can't. what about his wife? i even sang a blessing song. i told them to be happy together.

dad: were you sincere.

EH: yes.

dad: what about your sincerity now?

EH: i can't sin.

dad: to sin is to human. miss k, don't you want to be happy? do you think it's easy to be happy? do ou think you'll be happy hesitating and worried about others? if you don't try hard you can't be happy. eun-ho ya... if you don't try your best you won't be happy. when you're happy the world will be happy. as for god, i will beg for forgiveness with you. be happy, eun-ho ya.

EH: (surprised but touched to hear her father calling her by her name, and saying what he said..)

father hangs up and apologizes to the station workers who've been trying to stop him.

EH goes back to DJ who's standing at the bridge. EH looks at him once and DJ looks back. the two walk again together.

meanwhile YK continues her tasks of cooking and cleaning at home.

next morning DJ and EH come back to seoul. EH arrives home and JH stares at her. EH says nothing and goes to lay down in her bed.

DJ is going back to his home too and JP shows up from nowhere and starts to punch him. DJ yells it hurts and JP says he's it's not enough.

afterwards JP tells DJ to do whatever and DJ says thanks to him. JP says whatever and walks off...

DJ goes home and finds the apt empty. DJ goes around looking for YK. instead he finds a note and a tape.

YK's note reads, "i put it off since i was busy but i guess it's come to this... i thought you might come back to me, and you would then ask me if i am happy.. whatever you decide it's the same for me. the fact that we're on separate road and we haven't changed, why is that such a sad thing. you'll be angry at me. here's the tape. (wedding tape)"

meanwhile at the hospital JH goes up to JP and asks him if he's gonna live without her now and JP asks if she's chicken meat and how can he live without her. JH rests her head on his shoulder assured.

YK's goes to her workplace and her colleague bids farewell to her saying YK's flight's early tomorrow morning so she should rest. YK says she already packed. colleague asks if she's okay and YK says no. the colleague says YK should say she's not okay when she's not okay, and says YK should go to australia and date...

a year later...

YR's bartender presents a new cleaver to YR as his present and YR is thoroughly touched.

EH's narration: some moments change ppl...

JH is working at the police station.

EH's narration: "some ppl don't change even when time has passed."

EH"s colleague at the fitness club is seen training someone.

EH's narration: some love ends together with time.

DJ's colleague is seen giving her exboyfriend her wedding invitation.

EH's narration: some love doesn't change even when time passes...

another set of colleagues are holding hands (two female colleagues). lol.

EH's narration: even though love changes we still love, as if it doesn't change even after time passes by.

HJ teaches a woman how to deal with anger, but putting one's hand over one's heart to realize that they're still alive. the woman is annoyed and walks off. lol.

EH's narration: the memories of the past is what keeps time going.

eun-sol (miyeon's daughter) is seen interviewing a guy to see if he's a match for her mom. eunsol asks the guy if he knows how to fish or to make phone capsule...and when the hguy says nothing eunsol tells him to hurry and learn these things cuz she wants to do these things (aww)

EH: when this moment passes it too will become a memory. to live is to make memories.

YI and YS are seen having tea together. YS gets up to leave and tells her it's okay to call him again.

5 years later...

EH: we always wish for happy memories, but time laughs at our wish sometimes.

JH is seen wheeled in on a stretcher with JP telling her not to worry. (JH has to have surgery to remove her cancer-infected breasts)

JH asks JP not to forget about the promise to buy her big new boobs afterwards and JH falls asleep...

DJ's parents stroll through the park hand in hand.

EH: happiness and misfortunes always exist within time and they show up as they wish without our permission. as if the weakness of us are like broken toys

EH's dad puts flowers by the spot where EH's mom died from car crash.

EH: even if it changes and it ends, even if we miss it and we think it's dark, we must live this moment sincerity. sad and happy.. above all, wishing for happiness. the times of pain pass by, and time of guilt cannot be returned, and like so we came this far. sometimes we fight and sometimes we feel hatred toward each other... and yet we get tired of each other at times... but after more time passes by and when i look back to this moment, i will say proudly that i was happy. but in order not to end our time, i cannot say that we have a 'happy ending' at this moment.

DJ is seen playing ball with him and EH's daughter at the park. a pregnant and tired EH is sitting nearby knitting.

a boy complains to his mom about a girl who annoys him at his school pinching him and today throwing an egg at him, and he wants to go to a differnt school. mom asks who the friend is and the boy answers, 'jo eun sol'. (lol)

next, eun-sol appears to be in deep thought, then asks her mom what love is.

the translation is rough translation, espcially EH's narration. i don't have time to go find the script. i just wrote what i heard.

I love those dialogues and narratives by EH in episode 16. They are so true.

I bet many viewers must have similar experience and this dialogue sticked out for me.

i concur. i felt the big knot in me untangle finally. i'm sad to see this over but in a way i'm glad because i don't know how much longer i could stomach the pain. i'm still in awe of the writing and the acting was superb. i have new found respect for son ye jin and gam woo seong. and the rest of the cast especially doctor gong joonpyo!!

i think it's not fair to yk but when is love fair to anyone? and i'm speaking from experience here, i have been in her shoes before and i think that even though it's very cruel to her like she said she expected it in some way and after this experience she will learn not to 'settle' anymore. it's really hard to be with a man who doesn't love you.. it was already bothering her so much that DJ kept asking her if she was happy. she deserves more than his shell. she deserves his heart and when he can't give that to her she did the right thing but moving on first.

i was happy with the ending. the only thing i wish they had included was a kiss scene between EH and DJ at the end. even if it's a light peck in the cheek while she was sitting on the grass.... but i would've really loved it if they kissed on the bridge at choon-cheon but then that would've been a physical affair and it's really not her or him to be like that... so i guess i'm satisfied with the ending afterall. gosh i feel like i've grown emotionally through EH and DJ's experience... lol.

you know in korea ppl sometimes ignore love. because there are so many other virtues that are important to the confuscious society.. like respect and the 'right thing to do'... but i think the question of 'should we be selfish about love' was answered by EH's father who said to be 'true to her heart'. i think that we should be sincere about our love even if it appears selfish. i love how the drama was realistic in that EH and DJ put off their courage to claim their love for so long... but in the end the found happiness through their 'selfish' act. but like EH's father said when you're happy the world is happy for you. look at how many ppl were suffering when EH and DJ were separate. EH's father, DJ's paretns, JH, JP, and not counting all of us here ^^...... by them getting back togehter those ppl can make peace too. ^^ YK got the short stick but did she really? it's not exactly bliss to be married to a guy who still loves his ex.

How I wish that the SBS Yeongi Daesang could be held tomorrow and have the this show bagging all the awards!!!The indelible marks this show has left on us viewers are so powerful and moving...I hope this YeonAeShiDae wave will continue and let the show emerge triumphant in the year end's SBS award, not that award matters since it's receiving gazillion praises already but it'll be a nice way to round up the whole package.

What you are talking about should be Track 4 of the OST, 04. 아무리 생각해도 난 너를. The link has been posted a few times in this thread already but I can't remember the title offhand. It would help you to go through the past few pages (anyways, there aren't that many pages to this thread).

As of now, am still thinking of how to put my thoughts into words and will type more later.

To start off, I guess we were talking about YK and her situation reminded us to make our choices carefully. However, I can also understand her feelings because this might be her only shot at marriage. Who knows when another man is going to come along? The fear of being alone makes us do strange things at time.

She has been alone so long, and everyone is like looking at her, asking why isn't she attached or even married once? Sadly, people are bound to like wonder why.

I suppose, while we think it's unfair to her, in a way she's admirable for having the courage to grasp at happiness and then even greater courage to end it when she sees it reaching a deadend.

I understand "Alone In Love" is scheduled to be broadcasted in Japan soon. Ye jin has enjoyed high popularity in Japan since April Snow and A Moment To Remember was screened in Japan. AMTR was amongst the top 10 highest grossing foreign movies in Japan in 2005.

Last year, Ye jin also made a Japanese TV advert for one of the canned coffee made by Coca Cola Japan.

Something that JP said to EH struck me too. JP was saying whilst EH was able to grief over the stillborn and felt the pain of loss through her body, DJ was unable to accept Dong ee's death.

What a fabulous and satisfying ending. I must admit that it was kind of abrupt as in the transition but really, overall EXCELLENT.

I think that my favorite part about the last episode had to have been the epilogue. Its very befitting and so realistic at the same time, the shades of love, that sometimes people dont change regardless of circumstance-growth-maturity, and some do. I especially like what EH said at the end that she doesnt know if the happiness would continue which is very real but also implies that it is a day by day, step by step process. Pretty much, a work in progress.

If anyone is aware of when this drama would be released by SBS, please PM me or something, i must get this drama.

Truly one of the best that ive seen this year along with Goodbye Solo but the writer for this drama is amazing as well. So introspective but not pretensious in her dialogue and narration.
