Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won’s upcoming drama “Flower of Evil” has dropped a new suspenseful teaser!

 

“Flower of Evil” stars Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won as married couple Baek Hee Sung and Cha Ji Won. As Baek Hee Sung tries to hide his past while pretending to love his wife, detective Cha Ji Won begins to grow suspicious of her husband and starts searching for the truth.

 

In the teaser released on July 16, Lee Joon Gi faces a whirlwind of emotion as someone in the voiceover says, “You’re the most likely suspect.”

 

Another voice exclaims, “Don’t you know? It’s only a matter of time before you get caught!”

 

After, Moon Chae Won lovingly tells Lee Joon Gi, “I know you better than you know yourself.”

 

While Moon Chae Won diligently carries out her work as a detective, Lee Joon Gi is constantly on the run, and he comments, “I won’t ever make a mistake until the very end.”

 

The caption reads, “The dark truth that hinders their perfect trust.” As the teaser previews various characters, another voice comments, “The only people who know the truth are us two.”

 

At the end, Lee Joon Gi visits Moon Chae Won and says, “Should I tell you? What kind of person I am?”

I kinda wish there wasn’t a loveline in Flower of Evil; however, I admit the narrative is more twisted and dysfunctional in a good way because of the marriage involved. Is it really possible spending years with a man, the father of your child, and not know he is a psychopath? More so when the wife in question is a cop. It could be a case of not wanting to know until it is too late…

Lee Joon Gi Shares Details About His New Character In Upcoming tvN Drama “Flower Of Evil”

 

 

Lee Joon Gi talked about the psychology and acting points of his role in tvN’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama “Flower of Evil.”

 

“Flower of Evil” stars Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won as married couple Baek Hee Sung and Cha Ji Won. As Baek Hee Sung tries to hide his past, detective Cha Ji Won begins to grow suspicious of her husband and starts searching for the truth.

 

About his mysterious character Baek Hee Sung, the actor shared, “Baek Hee Sung is a role model of what a good husband and good father is like.

 

His chaotic past was dry of emotions, so he doesn’t want to lose what he has now.”

 

Lee Joon Gi added, “That’s why he tries to protect himself and his family in any way.His current life is so precious to him because he has been missing so much.”

 

 

Lee Joon Gi also talked about what points he tried to emphasize while acting as Baek Hee Sung. He explained, “I thought that he was a person who lived with tension in every moment, so I tried to reflect that. And I’m trying to express his two extremely different personalities. I’m working hard to make sure that the subtle and cool points hidden behind the warm appearance of Baek Hee Sung, a good husband and good father, are well communicated.”

Watch: “Flower Of Evil” Reveals Closer Look At Next Week’s Intense, Mystery-Filled Premiere

 

 

tvN has shared a more in-depth look at next week’s premiere of “Flower of Evil.”

 

The drama stars Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won as married couple Baek Hee Sung and Cha Ji Won. As Baek Hee Sung tries to hide his past while pretending to love his wife, detective Cha Ji Won begins to grow suspicious of her husband and starts searching for the truth.

 

In the new highlight clip, Moon Chae Won’s character Cha Ji Won says to Baek Hee Sung (Lee Joon Gi) while standing outside of a mysterious building, “One truth can, in a moment, turn your life into ruins. I know that truth will be revealed someday, but for some reason, I feel like if I go in there, I won’t be coming out again.” She proceeds to step through the doorway with her husband close behind.

 

A detective talks about a suspect in a case, saying the suspect used the exact same item in a crime as a man named Do Min Seok. Cha Ji Won adds, “As you can see in the security camera footage, this was carefully planned. This man is very dangerous.” The clip then immediately cuts to Baek Hee Sung, who flashes a strange smile in the mirror. He says to someone, “I know who killed [Lee Jang]. That’s right. I killed [him].”

 

Baek Hee Sung says, “If you help me, I’ll tell you everything I know. You never know, maybe reporter Kim Mo Jin will reveal the identity of the serial killer’s accomplice.” He continues, as the clip shows scenes of him on the run from police, “I just want to live as Baek Hee Sung. That’s all. I don’t want to lose my life.”

 

At the end of the video, Cha Ji Won says to Baek Hee Sung, as we see him approaching her and closing his hand around her neck, “Choose. Right now, you’re the one determining the future of our relationship.”

 

“Flower of Evil” premieres July 29 at 10:50 p.m. KST.

So many questions but somehow I dont think he is the serial killer, there seems to be more twists ...

And why do I feel every article JG mentions his worry about his effectiveness in this role?  Like this quote from the Soompi article....

While watching the long preview, it shows that LJK's character maybe doing or did bad things but he appears to really love his wife & daughter. I'm glad that they decided to collaborate again.
