tvN’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “Flower of Evil” has released its main posters!

“Flower of Evil” surrounds the shocking question, “What if your husband, someone you’ve loved for 14 years, is suspected of being a serial killer?” The drama will tell the story of Baek Hee Sung (Lee Joon Gi), a man who hides his past and pretends to love his wife Cha Ji Won (Moon Chae Won). Cha Ji Won is a detective who begins to grow suspicious of him, and they find themselves standing in front of a truth they don’t wish to face.

The two posters are similar yet strikingly different. The romantic version shows the silhouettes of the Baek Hee Sung and Cha Ji Won as they look into each other’s eyes, their expressions hidden by the sunlight that pours in through the window. Their hands naturally caress each other, as expected by a couple that has been married for 14 years.

However, all is not what it appears to be. In the suspense version of the poster, their faces can be clearly seen, and their expressions are not that of love, but of betrayal. Baek Hee Sung’s glare gives the impression that something he’s been hiding was exposed, and Cha Ji Won looks back at him with uncertain, frightened eyes. Baek Hee Sung’s clothes and arms are splattered with blood marks, while the red light that engulfs them is reminiscent of red police lights, adding to the dangerous atmosphere. The text on the posters read, “The man who pretended to love, the woman who even loved the danger.”

The drama stars Lee Joon Gi, Moon Chae Won, Jang Hee Jin, and Seo Hyun Woo and will be directed by Kim Chul Gyu, whose works include “Confession,” “Mother,” and “On the Way to the Airport.”

The drama premieres this July and will be available on Viki.

tvN’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “Flower of Evil” released new suspenseful teasers of Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won!

As a detective, Cha Ji Won begins to grow suspicious of him, and they find themselves standing in front of a truth they don’t wish to face.

The newly released teasers paint the subtle changes in emotions between Baek Hee Sung and Cha Ji Won. The teaser begins with Baek Hee Sung’s and Cha Ji Won’s perspectives of one another from the past as happy memories of their days as a couple flash by.

However, the happiness does not last, and only a single blanket remains on the now empty chair that Baek Hee Sung and Cha Ji Won once used to sit together on. Instead, the two are suddenly alone, surrounded by a growing darkness.

In his teaser, Baek Hee Sung stands alone absentmindedly in the midst of a cold and lonely atmosphere. His expression reflects the emptiness inside him.

Similarly, Cha Ji Won also stands alone in her teaser with a concerned look and subtle frown, hinting at the upcoming conflict. Both their teasers conclude with the ominous words, “The man who pretended to love, the woman who even loved the danger.”

A representative of the drama shared, “The contrasting atmosphere as scenes of different tones intersect represents the color of the melodrama and suspense in ‘Flower of Evil.'”

“Flower of Evil” premieres this July and will be available on Viki.

***  A scene in the teaser is suggesting that something unusual happened and broke their happy memories. In addition, the beautiful peonies that appear at the beginning become black at the end of the video. NICE. Love it!

2 sides of evil

A longish trailer for Flower of Evil. For me, a twisted, sinister Lee Jun Ki is the best Lee Jun Ki. Like how the trailer shows the contrast between his multi-layered character as a family man and an apparent psychopath.

"The Flower of Evil" releases poster revealing contrasting emotions of 4 main actors

%EC%9D%B4%EC%A4%80%EA%B8%B0.jpg?type=e19

The poster for the new Wed-Thu drama "Flower of Evil" (tvN) depicting contrasting emotions of actors Lee Joon Ki, Moon Chae Won, Jang Hee Jin, and Seo Hyun Woo has been unveiled.

"The Flower of Evil'' is a tracking-theme romance drama that revolves around the man Baek Hee Sung (played by Lee Joon Ki), who acts in even love relationship, and Cha Ji Won (played by Moon Chae Won) - the wife who begins to doubt his identity, and their sensational chase when the couple has to face the truth they always want to avoid. Here, Do Hae Soo - the girl who has to deal with terrible truths alone - will be entangled in a complicated relationship with journalist Kim Moo Jin (played by Seo Hyun Woo), who knows all the truths, thereby expectedly creating an unprecedented and unpredictable story.

The poster draws viewers' expectations to the revelation of complicated emotions that all four actors will face when being caught up in the case.

Firstly, Baek Hee Sung captures all eyes as his face switches from a gentle smile to a creepy look. Not only does he attract expectations for the reversal he will show in the drama through two nuances of expressions, his inner feeling hidden in the line "I need that girl" also arouses various speculations from viewers.

Meanwhile, Cha Ji Won - the wife who falls into a whimsical situation as she wholeheartedly loves Baek Hee Sung but also suspects him at the same time - is in a dilemma, "Can I trust him?" Her shining image with a sharp gaze fitting her police officer status intertwined with an anxious, sorrowful look makes viewers also feel the mixed emotions in the heart of the character.

Do Hae Soo, who is foretelling a suspicious secret right from the statement "I have to hide this", creates a disagreement as she shows his uncertainty while also coolly looks at nowhere. The photo has stimulated viewers' curiosity about what made her peaceful daily life unsteady and suffocatingly stressful.

Along with the lines "I have to catch him", Kim Moo Jin attracts viewers' attention with eyes obsessed with the desire to capture special news. Kim Moo Jin's poster made the public curious about his choice when the corner of his mouth slightly raised, reflecting the raffish inner soul of his character, but on the other hand, the contradictory expression shows the wavering inner soul when standing in the middle of the truth and special news.

"Flower of Evil" - the drama starting with a shocking prologue "What if the husband whom I have loved for 14 years is suspected to be a serial killer?" - will be on air in July.
