Lee Sung-kyung and Park Shin-hye Receive Mixed Reactions Over Church Promotional Videos

Ever since video clips of actors Lee Sung-kyung and Park Shin-hye participating in church worship and public relations were released, Internet users are showing mixed reactions.

Lee Sung-kyung attended a special video prayer for her church on Wednesday. The church released a video clip of Lee Sung-kyung's special worship via its YouTube channel.

In the video, Lee Sung-kyung said, "My beloved brothers and sisters, I realize how blessed it was to be able to gather in the House of God and worship God freely. But I still appreciate the grace of God for allowing me to worship through videos".

She added, "I will pray that we will be able to spread the light of hope and the love of God everywhere in this land filled with fear through this special video prayer".

She then sang a Gospel and said, "Hallelujah, I am actress Lee Sung-kyung. I love and worship our God".

 

 

The same church released a video of Park Shin-hye on the 23rd as well. Park Shin-hye said in the video, "I wish God's peace is with all of you", adding, "Although it is difficult to worship together on Sunday due to COVID-19, I hope we can follow the basic precautions and overcome it by worshiping each other in our places. I hope you are all participating in the special prayers".

 

"The special video hosted by the Church of Daniel is a joint opportunity for everyone suffering from COVID-19. It's a prayer meeting for 21 days from March 6th where we all participate via internet videos", she said. "It's a video, but it's time for us to gather our hearts and worship together. We ask for your participation in the upcoming special prayer".

As soon as their videos came up, netizens are showing mixed reviews. Since a large number of people who participated in church services recently were confirmed with COVID-19, netizens say, "They are using stars for publicity now", "The celebrity news section is now covered with religious news because of this", "Because of COVID-19, Christianity is only considered a profit-seeking group" and more.

 

Others say, "Why is this such a big deal when they didn't attend any mass and it's just a video?", "Why is this worth criticizing? Religion is freedom and it's not like they went out on the streets to busk. What's wrong with it as long as they don't cause any harm?", "What's with all the bad vibes? It's online" and more.

 

Meanwhile, Lee Sung-kyung starred in the SBS drama "Dr. Romantic 2" that ended last month as Cha Eun-chae. Park Shin-hye is looking forward to the movie "Call".

Yes, I was supposed too, but we had to change the plans per family vote! Maybe  next Shin Hye’s fan meeting we can all meet in SK and go together . Hope it will not be in Winter. Ahjumma’s hubby can no longer do extreme Winter, and we are glued to each other(lol)!Together always!
