[Herald POP=Image Reporter] Park Shin-hye of 'Judge from Hell' shared her thoughts on the end of the drama.

On the 3rd, her agency Salt Entertainment said, "In the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Judge from Hell' (written by Jo Yi-soo/directed by Park Jin-pyo and Jo Eun-ji/produced by Studio S), which ended on the 2nd, Park Shin-hye successfully transformed her acting by taking on the role of 'Kang Bit-na', a demon who entered the body of a judge.

202411031014188488877_20241103102108_02_
Park Shin-hye said, "I think I had a lot of fun and happiness filming for the past 7 months," and added, "I worked hard with the staff and actors, so I think it will be a memorable drama." She

continued, "I was glad and happy that many people told me, 'Park Shin-hye has such a new face,'" and added, "I hope we can share the emotions we felt with many people who watched our drama. Thank you for being with us."

Meanwhile, 'Judge from Hell' is an action fantasy where the devil Kang Bit-na, who entered the body of a judge, says, "Now the real trial will begin! To hell!", and meets the humane and passionate detective Han Da-on in a hellish reality, and is reborn as a true judge by punishing criminals.

-The following is a Q&A with Park Shin-hye.

Q. Thoughts on the end of <Judge from Hell>
A I think it will be an unforgettable drama. There were difficult moments during the 7 months of filming, but I think there were more happy and joyful memories. As the final episode approached, many viewers and people around me said, "It's too bad it's ending," and I realized that '<Judge from Hell> really received a lot of love from many people.' I couldn't be happier thanks to the people who loved me.

Q. I received a lot of love from many people for my unique acting transformation in this work. How do you feel?
A More than anything, I was glad and happy that many people said, "Park Shin Hye has such a new face." I think that the job of an actor is to be chosen by someone, and in some ways, it's a series of waiting. I was really grateful that I was given the opportunity to express the character of 'Kang Bit-na' after waiting for a role with such a conclusion.

Q. The character 'Kang Bit-na', who broke away from the cliché, received a lot of love from viewers. How did you approach the character of Kang Bit-na, and what did you focus on in your acting?
A I tried to make Bit-na look kind without being kind. I think I paid more attention to my speech, facial expressions, and tone of dialogue so that viewers wouldn't feel uncomfortable seeing Bit-na treat older characters or characters who appear as victims. In addition, since Kang Bit-na is a character who is as lively as a carbonated beverage, I practiced a lot to express my lines and bring out the flavor of the words, such as the speed of the speech.

Q. There was a lot of effort, such as wearing about 300 costumes for the character of Kang Bit-na. Is there any part of the costume preparation that you paid special attention to in order to show off the character of 'Kang Bit-na' well?
A. With the concept of colorful costumes as much as possible, I chose colors with strong impact, such as pink, blue, and red, and gave points to dark colors. If you look at the script, there were many lines about 'wearing beautiful and flashy clothes' when Bit-na punishes the criminal. There were also clothes for action, but I think I prepared them so that they wouldn't deviate too much from the flashiness that Bit-na likes.
Since various costumes were needed, such as homewear, a flashy look, and everyday clothes, the stylist team had a hard time because we did a lot of costume fittings.

Q. There were various actions, from bare-handed actions to swords and guns. Was there anything difficult when filming?
A. I learned action in advance at the action school and prepared diligently. Since they taught me so well, I prepared step by step while getting in sync with my co-star on set. The dangerous scenes were helped by a body double. In fact, I think the actors who were punished by Bitna had a harder time than me. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the many actors who were punished by Bitna.

Q. In 'Devils', you had a tiki-taga with various people around you, from the residents of Hwangcheon Villa to your court colleagues. I'm curious about your chemistry on set.
A All the actors were so nice, so we had a lot of fun chatting and filming. I think I was able to film while receiving that positive energy thanks to all the actors on our team who joined us on set with such positive energy.

Q. What line did Park Shin Hye pick as her best line and why?
A "The real trial will begin now." I remember it. I think it's the line that best shows why Bitna came to the human world and the reason for her existence as she came from hell to punish sinners.

Q. If there was a comment or response that you found interesting or memorable,
A "Become Arong." I found it funny that she seemed to be becoming Arong, showing her blind love for Justitia. I also liked the comments that just shouted "Justitia-sama??" without saying much. It was like getting demon colleagues. There were a lot of memorable reactions because of the sweethearts with great sense! Thank you.

Q. What kind of drama will <Judge from Hell> be remembered as to actress Park Shin-hye?
A <Judge from Hell> is a drama where I met many sweethearts and demon colleagues! It was a drama that allowed me to empathize with the viewers and communicate emotionally, so it was a drama that had an emotional connection with the viewers. I think it will also be remembered as a drama with good chemistry with the on-site staff and actors. Every time I finish a drama, I feel like 'I've finished another chapter.'

Q. Final words to the viewers who loved <Judge from Hell>
A Viewers, thank you very much."I'm so happy that you sent me so much love that I could feel that "there are really many people watching our drama." I hope you always stay healthy. Thank you for being with us.

Park Shin Hye And Kim Jae Young Face A Cruel Fate In 'The Judge From Hell'

Park Shin Hye And Kim Jae Young Face A Cruel Fate In "The Judge From Hell"

Oct 31, 2024
by E Ezeji

SBS’s “The Judge from Hell” has shared new stills ahead of its upcoming episode!

“The Judge from Hell” is a fantasy romance drama starring Park Shin Hye as Kang Bit Na, a demon from hell who has entered the body of a judge. After meeting the compassionate detective Han Da On (Kim Jae Young), who works hard at his job in a reality harsher than hell, Kang Bit Na embarks on a journey to becoming a true judge.

Spoilers

Previously in “The Judge from Hell,” Kang Bit Na uncovered the identities of the serial killer “J” and Satan. The serial killer, J, turned out to be Jung Tae Gyu (Lee Kyu Han), who made a deal with Satan (Park Ho San), who was hiding in Jung Jae Gul’s (Kim Hong Pa) body, and killed people on Satan’s behalf. As Kang Bit Na dealt with Satan, Han Da On confronted Jung Tae Gyu. Han Da On, a family member of a victim from the J serial murder case, was enraged by Jung Tae Gyu’s audacity but chose to seek justice instead of killing him.

However, as Jung Tae Gyu’s trial approached, Kang Bit Na found herself at a crossroads. If she didn’t release Jung Tae Gyu and send him to hell after killing him, she would disappear without a trace. Oh Mi Ja (Kim Young Ok) had warned Han Da On in the past that if he stayed with Kang Bit Na, one of them would surely die. Viewers can’t wait to see what fate awaits Kang Bit Na and Han Da On.

The released stills depict Kang Bit Na and Han Da On standing together in an unusual atmosphere. In the photos, Kang Bit Na gazes at Han Da On with an affectionate yet sorrowful expression, as if she is hiding something. Han Da On, unaware of her situation, looks at her affectionately but suddenly seems puzzled. The bittersweet and heart-wrenching emotions between them, as captured in the stills, combined with their cruel fate, evoke pity.

The production team stated, “In the upcoming episode, Kang Bit Na and Han Da On’s relationship will once again reach a significant turning point. The truth behind Oh Mi Ja’s prophecy—that if they are together, one of them must die—will also begin to unfold. Park Shin Hye and Kim Jae Young have perfectly portrayed the fate of the two protagonists with their skillful expressive performances. We ask for your interest and anticipation.”

The next episode of “The Judge from Hell” airs on November 1 at 10 p.m. KST. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, watch Park Shin Hye in “Doctors”!
