AHHHH BRIAN !! you should rest already, but whats up with his label not backing out of acivities. When one of your singers are in a condition like this....shouldnt they slow down their activities ? MANNNN i really hope Brian would get better soon. He still wants to sing live like that ?

i think those are activities that were already committed BEFORE this happened; hence, they can't be cancelled. but after those are cleared, nothing new has been scheduled. they even advised brian to lipsync instead of singing live when it's not suitable condition for him to sing live. seems that it's brian who doesn't want to disappoint the fans because he wants to keep his promise to sing live. so, let's not create misunderstanding about his label. :)

i think its important that singers do their performances live; however if it damages their health thats an EXCEPTION! arghhh poor brian!! hes working so hard...he needs to rest before something really bad happens to his throat...

Good Afternoon All,

I am very impressed by all the overwhelming support and thoughts going to Brian right now. I know you all are very worried and probably aren't so sure about what his current illness is. I did a little bit of research, and pulled together some key info facts for you all. Please keep Brian in your prayers to a speedy and healthy recovery!!

Vocal Cord Knotting is also known as Vocal Nodules or Polyps.

What is it?: They are tiny little tissue growths that develop of the vocal cords.

Why does it happen?: With strain to the vocal cords due to constant singing, inflammation can occur and these growths will appear throughout the vocal cords. They are swellings and have a round shape.

What happens?: The voice will become breathy and hoarse. Pain may also be a common symptom.

Treatment: Limited to no talking/singing for a few months to allow the swelling to die down. Vocal therapy and adjusting proper vocal "hygiene" along with eliminating vocal abuse can also be used. In most serious cases, surgical removal will be needed.

FunFact: Justin Timberlake had this a year or two ago. He had limited to no talking for a month, and then went in for surgical removal.

Well, I hope this helps everyone out in understanding what is going on. Brian is going to need a lot of rest and support from all of us.

Wow it happened to Justin as well!

Brian should really give his voice a break. I don't want anything bad to happen to him.

It's good that he's promoting his album but I think us fans would understand if he took a little break to heal his vocal chords!
