In “No Gain No Love,” Han Ji Hyun stars as Nam Ja Yeon, an R-rated web novelist with zero dating experience, while Lee Sang Yi portrays Bok Gyu Hyun, a third-generation CEO who doesn’t believe in romance. While their relationship is characterized by a love-hate dynamic in “No Gain No Love,” in the spin-off, their relationship evolves into a full-fledged romance.

Regarding the spin-off, the production team shared, “Even though ‘No Gain No Love’ has not yet aired, we are thrilled to expand the story of the second couple through this spin-off. Lee Sang Yi and Han Ji Hyun are all set for their next collaboration. The two actors who are currently gearing up for the release of No Gain No Love have been confirmed to lead its spin-off, The CEO’s Menu. The fantasy romance spin-off will depict the love story of the second lead couple in the Shin Min Ah and Kim Young Dae starrer.

 

On August 16, TVING confirmed that Lee Sang Yi and Han Ji Hyun will join hands as leads for the upcoming drama The CEO’s Menu. It will be a spin-off of the Shin Min Ah and Kim Young Dae starrer No Gain No Love, where these two actors star as the second lead couple.

The CEO’s Menu is an unpredictable romance drama that will revolve around 19-year-old web novel writer Nam Ja Yeon. She possesses the female protagonist of her novel, Seo Yeon Seo, and then falls in love with the male lead, Kang Ha Joon. 

Lee Sang Yi will take on the role of Kang Ha Joon, while Han Ji Hyun will portray both Nam Ja Yeon and her novel protagonist, Seo Yeon Seo. 

In No Gain No Love, Lee Sang Yi stars as Bok Gyu Hyun, a CEO and a third-generation chaebol. Han Ji Hyun plays the same role as the 19+ web novel writer Nam Ja Yeon. From their love-hate relationship, the two will develop a full-fledged romance in the spin-off. 

The production team stated that although No Gain No Love is yet to be released, they wanted to tell a story of the second lead couple. Since it’s a new attempt in the K-drama world, anticipation runs high to see the execution. 

Meanwhile, writer Kim Hye Young who penned the script for No Gain No Love, also participated in the writing process for The CEO’s Menu. The spin-off is now set to be released in the second half of 2024.

Lee Sang Yi and Han Ji Hyun who will play the supporting roles in No Gain, No Love, will have their own spin-off K-drama that will premiere on TVING.

On August 16, TVING officially confirmed that Lee Sang Yi and Han Ji Hyun will be the main leads of the upcoming K-drama titled Spice up Our Love. It will be the spin-off of their upcoming K-drama No Gain, No Love which will premiere on August 26. 

Spice up Our Love will tell the romance fantasy story of a 19+ web novel writer who suddenly became the main character of her novel. 

Writer Kim Hye Young who also penned for No Gain No Love will work in the upcoming K-drama as a creator. 

According to reports, the spin-off K-drama will premiere in the second half of 2024.

Lee Sang Yi will continue to portray the role of Bok Gyu Hyun. He is the CEO of Honeybee Education. He is known for being the third-generation CEO in the family. Unlike his father, he maintains a clean and single life. Although her tries not to be involved in any scandals, he secretly gives comments to Nam Ja Yeon's 19+ rated web novels. Aside from No Gain, No Love, and  Spice up Our Love, Lee Sang Yi is also expected to appear in the upcoming K-dramas Good Boy and Bloodhounds Season 2. 

 

On the other hand, Han Ji Hyun will portray Nam Ja Yeon's role. She is a web novel writer who tackles mature love stories. Spice up Our Love will be her third upcoming K-drama for the year. She is also set to star in the upcoming series Look at Me with Lee Min Ki.

On September 20, it was officially confirmed that Lee Sang Yi will lead the spin-off Spice up Our Love. TVING also confirmed that the upcoming K-drama will premiere on October 3. 

Spice Up Our Love is a new story about a writer who finds herself inside her novel. The novel is a romantic fantasy about a 19+ web novel writer who becomes the main character of her work. The story is based on one of the main characters from No Gain, No Love, Nam Ja Yeon.

New stills and a teaser have come out for TVING’s upcoming Spice Up Our Love, with No Gain No Love’s Lee Sang-yi and Han Ji-hyun stepping up from second leads to main characters in this short-but-fun fantasy spin-off.

For context, the teaser begins by re-introducing our romance novelist Nam Ja-yeon (Han Ji-hyun) and re-visiting her near-accident with Bok Gyu-hyun (Lee Sang-yi) in No Gain No Love, when he had tried to apologize for his mean online comments. After blacking out, though, Ja-yeon is shocked to wake up inside the fictional world of her latest novel, inhabiting the body of her heroine.

 

However, Ja-yeon is further horrified to see that her male lead looks nothing like his namesake Lee Yoo-jin (Three Bold Siblings). Unable to accept that her precious character Kang Ha-joon (also Lee Sang-yi) has taken on Gyu-hyun’s form, Ja-yeon tries to rebel against her own lusty script. But this just leads Ha-joon to become hilariously distraught and he takes her to the hospital, thinking that his lover is unwell.

Our heroine then tries a different tactic, theorizing that she could trigger the story’s end if she plays out the final steamy chapter. Determined and robed, thus begins their bedroom tussle and when Ja-yeon wakes up still in fiction, she goes in for another sultry round. Desperate to find a way back to reality, Ja-yeon even tries to force a character death. But the teaser closes on Ha-joon’s epic save as Ja-yeon curses the male lead trope.

Directed by PD Jung Hoon with scripts by Jo Min-jung, production for the spin-off also had the original series writer Kim Hye-young (Her Private Life) in a creator role. Premiering on the heels of No Gain No Love’s finale, TVING’s Spice Up Our Love will be releasing its two episodes on October 3 and will be streaming internationally on Amazon Prime.

After becoming a scene stealer as Honda in A Shop for Killers, actor Park Jeong Woo will once again swoon viewers in the upcoming K-drama Spice up Our Love.

On October 2, it was officially confirmed that actor Park Jeong Woo will return to acting with the upcoming spin-off of No Gain, No Love, Spice Up Our Love. 

This will be the second official K-drama of the actor. Park Jeong Woo made his K-drama debut in 2022 through the series The Director Who Buys Me Dinner. He also made a special appearance in the 2024 series A Shop for Killers. He will also guest on the upcoming series I Am a Running Mate.

He made his name known after being an advertising model for years. Just this year, he was one of the scene stealers in the hit Disney+ K-drama as Honda, the friend of Lee Dong Wook's character in the series.

Han Ji Hyun will continue to play the role of Nam Ja Yeon, and she'll also be playing Seo Yeon Seo, the main character of her web novel.

Lee Sang Yi on the other hand will portray the role of Kang Ha Joon, the CEO of GB Electric. Kang Ha Joon is the male lead of the web novel and is known for being a perfect conglomerate.

Meanwhile, Park Jeong Woo will portray the role of Dokyeom. He is the secretary of Kang Ha Joon, the CEO of GB Electric.

The upcoming K-drama will be the joint work of director Jung Hoon and writers Cho Min Jeong and Kim Hye Young. The series will be produced by CJ ENM STUDIOS. 

Spice Up Our Love will premiere on October 3. It will exclusively premiere on the OTT platforms TVING and Amazon Prime Video.

“Spice Up Our Love,” the spin-off drama of “No Gain No Love,” has just released tantalizing new stills!

“Spice Up Our Love” is a fantasy romance drama about Nam Ja Yeon (Han Ji Hyun), a writer of a steamy R-rated web novel who unexpectedly finds herself transported into her own story as the female lead Seo Yeon Seo. She soon becomes tangled in an unpredictable romance with her novel’s male protagonist Kang Ha Joon (Lee Sang Yi).

“Spice Up Our Love” (the original Korean title literally translates to “The CEO’s Menu”) is the title of Nam Ja Yeon’s web novel in the original series “No Gain No Love,” and the spin-off will largely take place within the world of that novel.

The newly released stills offer a glimpse of a sensual moment on the bed between Kang Ha Joon and Seo Yeon Seo. In one image, Seo Yeon Seo is seen seducing Kang Ha Joon, who now bears the face of her novel’s notorious commenter Bok Gyu Hyun. In other photos, the two are in a close, intimate position before they suddenly appear startled, both looking in the same direction—sparking curiosity about what caught their attention.

Viewers can expect plenty of fiery and intense moments between the characters, a stark contrast to their dynamic in the main series.
