A faux pas of this degree can destroy what the group carefully nurtured and built from the ground up.

 

Worse, the insensitive blunder of the staff of their recording label would reflect on Snow Man itself. The group and/or the members may have to  further apologise, or release their own statement of apology, for the very offensive to national sentiments carelessness of someone who couldn't be bothered to make sure the promo materials will not rake up historical bad blood.

 

If there's one thing that can be grateful of, Ment Recording had the sense to immediately take down the promotional video, rather than try to defend it.

 

Because a hero for others is the harbinger of disaster by those who suffered.

 

If it were up to me, time for staff loyalty check. It's in fact long overdue. Incompetence of this magnitude, or bringing political beliefs on the table, or using one's position as means to sabotage hard work, can not be merely excused.

 

Do they even understand what does working with a group who is aiming for global market and name in the international arena means??? 

 

Simply put, in this time of social media and the intense nitpicking 24/7 of public figures, any small mistakes can be magnified a thousand times over, rendering years of building up a good name and reputation into nothing.

 

There's no room for careless mistakes which could have been avoided in the first place if the Ment Recording staff are diligently doing their jobs. Perhaps it's because they're still thinking "small"? 

 

It's not even the first time staff did dirty Snow Man and its members. It's not fair that they're being asked to kneel for someone's insensitivity, and that they might have to do just that or its equivalent. They're so busy preparing for album launch and upcoming concert, yet they'll likely have to clean up some RickRoll'D's mess too.

For what are you as their label then...

 

HOWEVER, IT ALSO BEGS REASON WHY YOUR TEPID RESPONSE TO THE OFFENDED HAD TO TAKE A DAY, AND THE APOLOGY DOES NOT AT ALL SOUND APOLOGETIC!

 

Just how hard is it for you to give rapid response and updates? You could have started by immediately apologising and stating that you're investigating how could such material be included and how could your staff who liased with the outsourced work and staff who should thoroughly review what gets posted online did not catch it.

It doesn't matter who was responsible either with MENT or the contracted 3rd party, in the end it's SNOW MAN being demanded to video apologise either one by one or all together on their knees, and write handwritten letters of apologies. 

 

MENT RECORDING, at the most you only terminated contract with that video company. Hell, what is stopping you to say you will sue that video company for damages, and any compensations you collect will be turned over to a good cause that will directly benefit the angered citizens? Or remove the staff who couldn't do their job right, worse, brought their ideologies to their place of work, reputation be damned of the group they're supposed to be catering to?

 

I pity SNOW MAN members who did their best, but were utterly failed by their label who should have been their best supporter after their agency in spreading their music and good will.
