So here are four moments in which they had some conflicts in the most recent episodes of “Bad Memory Eraser.” Warning: spoilers from episodes 9-10 ahead! 1. Lee Kun suspecting Kyung Joo Yeon of hiding the truth As we already know, Lee Kun is trying to figure out what exactly happened to him and why it looks like everyone, including Kyung Joo Yeon, is so adamant about not letting him find out the truth. To Joo Yeon, it is vital that he doesn’t regain his memories, since it involves the success of the medical trial that is still ongoing; however, as she gets closer to Lee Kun, in her heart, the weight of her actions starts to be too much to handle. It’s to the point that she doubts whether she did the right thing by erasing his memories. Despite the pain it’s causing him, he still wants to get back that missing part of his past. For better or for worse, memories are what make us who we are, and for Lee Kun, those memories are something only he can decide to let go of. However, this is something only Lee Kun himself can answer. Given the fact that not even he can figure it out by himself, the only clue left to discover the truth behind everything is his missing diary. more https://www.soompi.com/article/1685731wpp/4-moments-of-confliction-for-kim-jae-joong-jin-se-yeon-in-episodes-9-10-of-bad-memory-eraser

larus
Bad Memory Eraser: Episodes 11-12 by solstices Our resident amnesiac circles back to the vignettes of his past, while those around him scramble to keep up the facade. Alas, the fault lines have long been etched into their relationships, and the widening cracks are about to drive them all apart. EPISODES 11-12 Basking in the afterglow of their kiss, Gun invites Joo-yeon to stay the night at his grandma’s house. It’s empty, since she’s abroad, and the pair stargaze in the front yard while Gun reminisces about his childhood memories. They fall asleep next to each other in the car’s trunk, serene and contented. Morning dawns upon the media day at the athlete’s village, but Shin’s camera anxiety has him avoiding all the interviews. When Joo-yeon approaches him to talk, Shin opens up about his imposter syndrome — he’s been walking in his brother’s shoes for so long that he fears the cameras will expose him as an empty shell. In turn, Joo-yeon advises him to acknowledge that feeling, and grow accustomed to it. She empathizes sincerely — she isn’t without struggles either — and that finally spurs Shin to take it one step at a time, together. Holding out a marker, he asks her for a talisman to cheer him on, and she draws a cute smiley face on his palm. Unfortunately for our little spitfire, she can’t run away forever. Sae-yan’s mom has flown in to urge her back home and discourage her search for her biological father. After all, Sae-yan’s Italian stepfather had taken them in back when they’d been penniless, and they ought to be grateful instead of inciting his fury. Overhearing, Gun comes to Sae-yan’s defense by spinning a case about her work visa — only to panic later once he learns her dad is part of the biggest mafia syndicate in Italy, lol. Gun ends up whisked along on Sae-yan’s hunt for her father, and as they traipse through their hometown, a villager recognizes Gun and recounts a memory. There had been a period of time when Gun refused to speak or go to school: “Someone died because of that child.” The words trigger a migraine, and Gun nearly jumps into the creek again, chasing his memories. His first love had pulled a young Gun out of the water, then searched for the medal on his behalf — but the girl hadn’t resurfaced, leaving Gun to shout futilely across the silent creek. Oh no… Shaken by the memory, Gun rushes back to the training center, sweeping Joo-yeon up into a hug. “Don’t leave,” he pleads. “I thought you died because of me.” She reassures him that she isn’t going anywhere, embracing him in return — and from afar, Shin witnesses this scene. Wounded, he heads straight for the toilets, frantically scrubbing the smiley face off his palm. Meanwhile, Sae-yan’s run into trouble yet again — a jealous Shi-on immaturely spiked her drink with a laxative, then trapped her in a wetsuit. Unable to extricate herself from her predicament, Sae-yan latches onto the first person to walk past. Which just so happens to be Shin. With no other choice, Sae-yan pleads for him to help unzip her wetsuit, then shrivels up in shame afterwards. Guess they’re now even on the embarrassment front, at least. Since Sae-yan won’t listen, her mom reaches out to Joo-yeon for help, since Joo-yeon is the only person Sae-yan has ever willingly followed. Joo-yeon reiterates that Sae-yan is a grown adult and can make her own decisions, but Sae-yan’s mom insists it’s for her own good — and for Joo-yeon’s too. Huh, I wonder what that means. When Sae-yan’s mom reveals her previous involvement with Shin, Joo-yeon connects the dots and realizes Sae-yan is Gun’s actual first love. Reeling, she stands Gun up, opting to confront Shin at the swimming pool instead. Except Shin’s jaded and hurting, and he lashes out: “Why, did you catch feelings for Gun while acting as his first love?” Then Shin notices Gun approaching, and impulsively — deliberately — pulls Joo-yeon into a forceful kiss. Ugh, not cool. Gun accosts Shin, and in their tussle, Shin ends up pushing Gun into the pool. Submerged in water again, Gun freezes up and blanks out, though he’s hauled to safety by the other two. Subsequently, Joo-yeon avoids the issue entirely by occupying herself with household chores and rejecting both brothers’ calls. So much for her advice about facing problems and emotions head-on — she can’t bring herself to walk the talk. Instead, she cares in the most roundabout way possible. At her request, an overzealous Sae-yan nurses the feverish Gun (through hilariously questionable methods, but A for effort lol) It’s at this worst possible time that Gun’s old emotion diary resurfaces. Joo-yeon finds it among her books — Sae-yan had taken it out from their mixed-up luggage — and it’s filled with entries about Gun’s first love and how he wants to see her again. Then later, when Joo-yeon is out, Shin pays her house a visit and accidentally stumbles upon the diary too. Unsurprisingly, Joo-yeon is incensed when she returns home to find Shin playing cards with her mom in the living room. Shin attempts to defend himself — he couldn’t reach her any other way — then tells her he didn’t kiss her just to make Gun give up on her, but because he likes her. Coldly, Joo-yeon informs him she hadn’t known of his feelings, and doesn’t reciprocate anyway. (Um, you’re telling me his obvious flirting and date requests somehow flew right over your head?) Right then, Gun walks in, piggy-backing a woozy Sae-yan who got drunk off the home remedy she attempted to make for him. Joo-yeon worriedly fusses over Sae-yan, and Gun pointedly asks why she isn’t concerned about him. He’s the one who’s been sick all day. Joo-yeon avoids answering, and when Shin purposely says things that can be taken the wrong way, she doesn’t correct him. Oy, these two are testing my patience. more https://www.dramabeans.com/2024/09/bad-memory-eraser-episodes-11-12/
larus
1 Happy And 3 Frustrating Moments In Episodes 11-12 Of "Bad Memory Eraser" Drama Sep 11, 2024 by andyzar Like most times in life, people have to face some ups and downs, something that is portrayed in the latest episodes of “Bad Memory Eraser.” Though we only have a couple of weeks left of this show, there are still so many unresolved things between Lee Kun (Kim Jae Joong) and Kyung Joo Yeon (Jin Se Yeon). Sadly, it looks like this K-drama will get even more entangled from here on before we can see a proper romance between the main leads. But not everything is bad as we can enjoy some laughs here and there amongst all the angst that reined in these episodes. Since hope is the last thing to die, let’s hope this couple will be able to catch their breath in the future. Warning: spoilers from episodes 11-12 ahead! HAPPY: Lee Kun and Kyung Joo Yeon spending time together Let’s call this moment the calm before the storm. Right after sharing their first kiss, our goofy leads get to spend the night together in the house of Lee Kun’s grandmother. They not only enjoy a beautiful starry night in the countryside but also have the chance to open up their hearts to each other. We are somehow used to seeing the eccentric and cheeky side of Lee Kun, but it’s also refreshing to see that Kyung Joo Yeon can be just as extra. The silliness they show in this short while proves how much they’ve grown to be comfortable around each other. It’s not something you can have overnight, especially when the people involved have been through a lot of trauma and struggles. That’s why this moment between them is so significant for those who have been rooting for them. If there’s ever a slow-burn romance in K-dramas, this is definitely one of them. FRUSTRATING: Lee Shin trying to manipulate Kyung Joo Yeon However, happiness is short-lived in these episodes. Everything starts to change the moment Lee Shin (Lee Jong Won) takes a more central part in the plot and not exactly in a good way. It was hard to imagine that rather than being a second male lead, he would become the antagonist in Lee Kun and Joo Yeon’s love story. Though some people say when it comes to love everything is valid, Lee Shin goes too far. He not only pursues Joo Yeon aggressively, to the point where he tries to win over her family, but he also manipulates her to push her so she will give up her feelings for his brother. more https://www.soompi.com/article/1687337wpp/1-happy-and-3-frustrating-moments-in-episodes-11-12-of-bad-memory-eraser

backstreetboysfan
Kim Jae Joong Goes Through A Rollercoaster Ride Of Emotions In "Bad Memory Eraser" MBN’s “Bad Memory Eraser” has shared intriguing new glimpses of its upcoming episode! “Bad Memory Eraser” is a romance drama about a man whose life changes due to a memory eraser and the woman who holds his fate in her hands. Kim Jae Joong stars as Lee Kun, who was once a promising tennis player but lost his self-esteem and confidence after an injury. Jin Se Yeon stars as neuropsychiatrist Kyung Joo Yeon, who unintentionally winds up becoming Lee Kun’s fake first love through memory manipulation. Spoilers On the previous episode of “Bad Memory Eraser,” Kyung Joo Yeon’s heart ached when she learned that Jeon Sae Yan (Yang Hye Ji) was Lee Kun’s true first love. Meanwhile, the conflict between Lee Kun and his brother Lee Shin (Lee Jong Won) heated up as Lee Shin became more upfront about his feelings for Kyung Joo Yeon. In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, Lee Kun and Joo Yeon don’t shy away from expressing their feelings for each other despite being around other people. During a sweet date at a restaurant, the couple only has eyes for one another—and Joo Yeon is all smiles when she sees a “vegetable bouquet” that Lee Kun has lovingly prepared for her. Later, Lee Kun is unable to hold himself back from leaning in and trying to steal a kiss on the cheek as Joo Yeon freezes in place. However, another set of stills captures a heartbreaking moment in which Lee Kun breaks down on his own. During a moment alone at the beach late at night, Lee Kun falls to his knees in despair and sobs, looking as though he has lost everything. larus
Bad Memory Eraser: Episodes 13-14 by solstices Our wounded brothers finally acknowledge their pain and face their trauma, extending an empathetic hand to each other. One family heals, while another fractures apart — sometimes all we want is for our cries to be heard. EPISODES 13-14 In yet another instance of confusingly abrupt editing, the blackmail photos of the bridge incident suddenly go viral across social media. The public works itself up into a frenzy speculating about Shin’s “attempted murder” of his own brother, while Shin cuts off all contact and goes into hiding. As for Gun, he’s managed to obtain footage of the fall. He leaves a voicemail urging Shin to return since he’s found out the truth, and Shin recalls that fateful confrontation. Asking if Gun thinks he’s the only one who’s made sacrifices, Shin pushes Gun’s buttons until he accuses Shin of wanting to steal everything he has. In response, Shin calls Gun out for his self-pity and inferiority complex, and Gun punches him. The two brothers fight, and Shin finally snaps — has Gun ever considered how suffocating it is to live as someone’s replacement? Gun tells him to live his own life, then, and stop whining about all that he basks in — Shin is nothing but a copycat. The words carve themselves into Shin’s heart, and when Gun turns back, he sees Shin sitting on the bridge’s railing with a heartrendingly tranquil look on his face. “I’m tired, too,” Shin says. “Now, I just want to rest.” Then he leans back, and falls off the bridge. Gun manages to catch Shin’s hand in time — with his ailing hand! — and Shin wistfully wonders if it’s the first time Gun has held his hand since his injury. “If I die, at least I’ll be able to breathe easily.” Unwilling to lose his brother, Gun latches on with both hands, and Shin panics, yelling at Gun to let go before he falls over too. “Even if I could rewind time, I’d still choose to save you,” Gun asserts. But Shin’s hand slips out of Gun’s grasp — and Gun immediately dives in after him, hitting his head on the way down. Ever since then, Shin has blamed himself for Gun’s condition. Alas, our runaway brother ends up losing all his money when his too-kind heart has him giving his padded jacket to a pair of teenage boys, wallet and all. With only mere pennies left, a shivering Shin caves and calls Joo-yeon on a public payphone. He doesn’t say anything substantial, but the call allows her to search up the payphone’s location. Joo-yeon finds Shin struggling to camp in a little tent — he’s hilariously ill-suited to the wild outdoors — and while fishing, he finally opens up to her. Shin had started self-harming at the age of twelve to cope with the pressure, and he’d burned Gun’s emotion diary not out of vindictiveness, but out of fear that his own history might be written inside. When Gun told him to stop living as his copycat, Shin realized that he hadn’t once thought about what else lay ahead of him. Simply wanting to give up on anything, he’d tried to take the plunge — but seeing Gun grab onto him with his ailing hand had only multiplied Shin’s guilt tenfold. Gun had chosen his brother over himself, once again. Now that he’s run away, Shin wants to sort his thoughts out before returning, since he’s only followed others’ words all this while. Joo-yeon gently encourages him to start small; he can take it one step at a time. Moved, Shin confesses that he fell for her because she draws out the emotions he’s been repressing all his life. “When I’m with you, I become myself. Not someone who wears the false mask of his hyung, but simply, fully, Lee Shin.” The weight of his confession lingers, pushing Joo-yeon to awkwardly suggest taking a walk — and that’s when she spots Gun. He’d tracked Shin down using a photo the teenagers uploaded. Jumping to conclusions, Gun stalks off in yet another misunderstanding. (Um, are you suddenly not worried about your brother anymore?) When she catches up, Gun lashes out with sharp words, but Joo-yeon calls him on the lie. Trying to drive her away, Gun goes way too far: “I’m sick and tired of you. Isn’t that why your father left you, too?” Ugh, low blow. Joo-yeon slaps him, and he storms off. They both end up walking aimlessly through the night, overwhelmed by tears, while a worried Shin follows silently behind Joo-yeon. Meanwhile, Teo has been snooping around in an attempt to wrest control of the clinical trial and net himself a promotion. He tricks Dr. Han into spilling information, then threatens to reveal it all to Gun if they don’t allow him to proceed with a trial that resets the bad-memory erasing. When Joo-yeon learns of this through a panicked phone call, her worry for Gun sends her into a panic. It serves as a moment of clarity for Shin, who realizes what he must do. Borrowing the teenagers’ scooter, Shin takes Joo-yeon back to the city, where he watches her rush back to Gun’s office. From afar, Shin bids her goodbye, as if coming to terms with his unrequited feelings. After a desperate search, Joo-yeon finds Gun at the hospital’s tennis court. Her concern is painfully evident, and Gun finally recognizes the sincerity she’d masked under a layer of feigned indifference. He pulls Joo-yeon into a reconciliatory kiss, then walks her home giddy on their reaffirmed feelings. https://www.dramabeans.com/2024/09/bad-memory-eraser-episodes-13-14/
larus
4 Truths Kim Jae Joong & Jin Se Yeon Discover In Episodes 13-14 Of "Bad Memory Eraser" Drama Sep 18, 2024 by andyzar As we reach the final episodes, it’s about time to know the whole truth behind every mystery and unanswered question in this K-drama. After a lot of clarification in some of the most prevailing issues in the plot, you’d expect there was not much left to see but a happily ever after. However, things might not be as easy. There have been a lot of emotions, complications, and misunderstandings around all four leads, but it looks like there’s still a lot coming up for them in the last few episodes. For now, here’s what we learned in this week’s episodes of “Bad Memory Eraser.” Warning: spoilers from episodes 13-14 below! 1. What happened during Lee Kun’s accident Since the beginning, Lee Shin (Lee Jong Won) has been hard to figure out. His attitude and actions sometimes proved that despite loving his brother, he also felt resentment and some sort of hatred towards Lee Kun (Kim Jae Joong). That’s why it’s not hard to imagine that he was the culprit behind Lee Kun almost dying. Also, every snippet of memory and clue pointed him out as such. However, when an anonymous report shows pictures that incriminate him, the truth of what really happened that night comes to light. But the shadow of suspicion brings big repercussions to him and his tennis team. At last, we learn that what Lee Shin wanted to hide so desperately is not that he tried to murder his brother, but that he attempted to take his own life. In a shocking plot twist, the night when the brothers confronted each other, Lee Shin jumped off the bridge, only for Lee Kun to save his life by holding onto him and getting hit in the process. The tragic truth is that both brothers are victims of a suffocating upbringing and a series of unfortunate accidents. However, they still have to carry the pain and consequences of these circumstances, almost losing one another along the way. 2. How Lee Shin feels about his career as a tennis player Despite having the possibility to clear his name from the murder suspicions, Lee Shin takes the easiest way out of his problems. He runs away from home, though only for a couple of days. He takes that chance to leave everything behind and focus on thinking about what he truly wants for his life and career. He accepts that his dream was never to be a tennis player, but with his family’s pressure on his back, he can’t easily give up everything. His parents, especially his mother, are beyond redemption. Though she is a major contributor to her children’s hardships, even after all that’s happened to them, she continues pushing them to their limits in order to achieve her own expectations. more https://www.soompi.com/article/1689014wpp/4-truths-kim-jae-joong-jin-se-yeon-discover-in-episodes-13-14-of-bad-memory-eraser
