Bae In Hyuk and Kim Ji Eun may be starring in a drama together!

On March 28, it was reported that Bae In Hyuk and Kim Ji Eun will be playing the lead roles in the upcoming Channel A drama “Check In Hanyang” (literal title).

In response to the report, Kim Ji Eun’s agency HB Entertainment shared, “‘Check In Hanyang’ is a project she’s currently considering positively.” Bae In Hyuk’s representative has not commented on the report yet.

DKZ's Park Jae Chan to star in his first ever historical K-drama

DKZ member Park Jae Chan will take on the challenge of starring in an upcoming youth historical K-drama.

It was officially confirmed that Park Jae Chan will join the cast of the upcoming Channel A K-drama Check in Hanyang. Park Jae Chan's agency also confirmed the idol actor's casting. 

This will be the debut of Park Jae Chan in historical K-dramas. The idol actor became more popular after he starred in the BL K-drama Semantic Error with actor Park Seo Ham. 

Aside from the upcoming historical K-drama, Park Jae Chan will also star in the upcoming series The Woman Who Plays with Uhm Tae Goo, Han Sun Hwa, Kwon Yool, Kim Hyun Jin, Park Jae Chan, and Yang Hyun Min. 

 

He will also become the son of actress Kim Hee Sun in the upcoming MBC K-drama Our House. 

Park Jae Chan made his acting debut in 2019. He was part of the K-dramas My YouTube Diary, Can You Deliver Time?, No Going Back Romance, Youtuber Class, I:LOVE:DM, and more. 

Aside from his acting activities, Park Jae Chan will also return with a new album together with his K-pop group DKZ. DKZ is set to release their second mini album titled Reboot this week.

 

Check in Hanyang is a romance comedy set in the Joseon Dynasty era. It will tell the stories of three men and one woman who will enter Yongcheonru, the largest guest house in Joseon.

Aside from Park Jae Chan, the K-drama will be led by Kim Ji Eun, Bae In Hyuk, and Jung Gun Joo. 

The upcoming K-drama will have a total of 16 episodes and it will exclusively premiere on Channel A.

Set in the Joseon Dynasty, “Check In Hanyang” is a historical romance drama that depicts the growth and love stories of youths who join as “interns” at Yongcheonlu, the largest inn in Joseon.

Bae In Hyuk will play the role of Prince Lee Eun, who infiltrates Joseon’s largest guest house Yongcheonlu under the name of Lee Eun Ho while hiding his true identity for a special reason. However, he is unable to break his habits from the palace, getting on the instructor’s bad side, and becomes intertwined with Hong Deok Soo (Kim Ji Eun).

Kim Ji Eun will play the role of Hong Deok Soo, a woman who dresses as a man. Hong Deok Soo is the general manager of Yongcheonlu who enters the inn as an intern. However, she will clash with Lee Eun Ho, who is in the same group as her, raising anticipation for their relationship.

Jung Gun Joo will play Yongcheonlu’s heir Cheon Joon Hwa, who has wealth in his fortune as well as an elegant appearance to match. With no interest in running the inn, Cheon Joon Hwa went to study in the Qing Dynasty, but his father’s anger forces him to intern at the inn.

Actress Kim Min Jung is joining the historical romance K-drama Check in Hanyang.

On June 7, an exclusive report from XSportsNews revealed that Kim Min Jung will return to the K-drama scene with the upcoming Channel A K-drama Check in Hanyang.

This will be the first official K-drama project of Kim Min Jung after three years. She last starred in the 2021 K-drama The Devil Judge with Ji Sung, Park Jin Young, Park Gyu Young, Jeon Chae Eun, and Kim Jae Kyung. 

Last year, she also made a special cameo appearance in the Netflix original series Daily Dose of Sunshine led by Park Bo Young, Yeon Woo Jin, Jang Dong Yoon, and Lee Jung Eun. 

Kim Min Jung is known for being part of the K-dramas Mr. Sunshine, Man to Man, Gap Dong, Fashion 70's, Save the Last Dance for Me, Jang Nok Soo, and more.

Former INFINITE member Lee Ho Won (Hoya) to star in his first-ever historical K-drama since debut.

On June 24, it was officially confirmed that Lee Ho Won would be added to the cast of the upcoming Channel A historical K-drama Check in Hanyang. 

This will be the first time that Lee Ho Won will star in a historical K-drama genre ever since he started his acting career. This will also be the return of Lee Ho Won to acting after five years. 

Lee Ho Won was last seen in the 2019 K-drama Hip Hop King: Nassna Street with Shin Won Ho, Lee Na Eun, Han Hyun Min, Kim Young Ok, and Yoo Seo Jin. 

Aside from K-dramas, Lee Ho Won will also star in the upcoming movie Sanbok Road with Ha Kyung, Kim Won Hae, Ahn Nae Sang, Do Ji Won, and Jang Hyuk Jin. 

Lee Ho Won started his acting career in 2012. He has appeared in the K-dramas Reply 1997, My Lovely Girl, Mask, Super Family, Two Cops, Devilish Joy, and more. 

After he departed from INFINITE in 2017, Lee Ho Won pursued his solo activities in both singing and acting.

The upcoming historical K-drama Check in Hanyang has confirmed its release date for December 21. 

Check in Hanyang revolves around Yongcheonru, the largest guesthouse in Joseon, which operates under the motto "The customer is king," and it follows the young interns who begin to work there for their own reasons. 

Check in Hanyang began with the bold idea, "What if a modern hotel existed in the Joseon Dynasty?" This unique premise piques the interest of prospective viewers.  

The poster for Check in Hanyang features four young individuals who have come to work at Joseon's largest guesthouse, Yeongcheonru. 

 

 

In the poster, Lee Eun Ho (Bae In Hyuk), Hong Deok Su (Kim Ji Eun), Chun Jun Hwa (Jung Gun Joo), and Go Soo Ra (Park Jae Chan) welcome customers arriving to stay at Yongcheonru, Joseon's largest inn. As front desk staff responsible for setting the guesthouse's first impression, they greet guests with warm, friendly smiles, radiating a kind and inviting atmosphere.  

The text on the poster reads, "Here at Yeongcheonru, the customer is king". This slogan, "The customer is king," may be common enough in modern society, but in the Joseon era — a strict hierarchical society under a king sent from heaven — it's an audacious statement. In fact, even associating with such a notion could lead to accusations of treason. 

What's more, the four young interns of Yeongcheonru each have different statuses in society and come from different backgrounds.

There's Lee Eun Ho (Bae In Hyuk), who hides his identity as Prince Muyeong Gun Lee Eun; Hong Deok Su (Kim Ji Eun), a woman disguising herself as a man for some reason; Chun Jun Hwa (Jung Gun Joo), the heir to Yongcheonru; and Go Soo Ra (Park Jae Chan), from a fallen merchant family.

Despite their different backgrounds, they now wear the same uniform and work side by side. Viewers are left curious about the experiences they'll share at Yongcheonru and the kind of relationships they'll build along the way.

Check in Hanyang will premiere on December 21. The K-drama will be available to stream on Viki.

Channel A’s “Check In Hanyang” (literal title) has unveiled an exciting new poster!

Set in the Joseon Dynasty, “Check In Hanyang” is a historical romance drama that depicts the growth and love stories of youths who join as “interns” at Yongcheonlu, the largest inn in Joseon.

The new poster showcases the four main inn attendants—Lee Eun Ho (Bae In Hyuk), Hong Deok Soo (Kim Ji Eun), Cheon Jun Hwa (Jung Gun Joo), and Go Soo Ra (Jaechan)—each posed on large tokens, which are equal to room keys in today’s world. Beneath each main token, smaller ones inscribed with “2024,” “1221,” and “1950” cleverly hint at the drama’s premiere on December 21, 2024, at 7:50 p.m. KST.

The quartet’s radiant smiles and inviting expressions capture the essence of their roles—attentive inn staff ready to deliver unparalleled service and hospitality at Yongcheonlu, which proudly upholds the motto, “The guest is king.”

Channel A’s upcoming drama “Check in Hanyang” has unveiled a fun new teaser!

 

Set in the Joseon Dynasty, “Check in Hanyang” is a historical romance drama that depicts the growth and love stories of youths who join as “interns” at Yongcheonlu, the largest inn in Joseon.

 

Bae In Hyuk plays Lee Eun, a prince who joins Yongcheonlu under the alias Lee Eun Ho while hiding his true identity. Kim Ji Eun stars as Hong Deok Soo, a woman living as a man for an unknown reason. Jung Gun Joo plays Cheon Jun Hwa, heir to Yongcheonlu, while Jaechan plays Go Soo Ra, who hails from a once-prominent family now fallen into ruin.

 

The new teaser begins with the introduction of Yongcheonlu: the grandest inn in Joseon located opposite the King’s royal palace. The narration remarks, “At Yongcheonlu, the guest is king.” Lee Eun Ho quickly bursts out in protest, shouting, “How dare you call them kings! Do you all have a death wish?!”

 

As the confused interns look on, Hong Deok Soo mutters, “Better not get involved with him…” However, the quartet soon earns a reputation for causing trouble at the inn. Branded as the “Gang of Four Buts” for their constant “But—” during punishments, they develop a camaraderie.

 

Nearing the end of the teaser, Cheon Jun Hwa remarks, “Now that we’re on the same boat, shall we face this storm together too?” hinting at the beginning of their chaotic but endearing friendship.
