MBC’s upcoming drama “Doubt” has released new stills highlighting the family relationship between Han Suk Kyu, Oh Yun Soo, and Chae Won Bin!

 

“Doubt” is a psychological thriller about the dilemma faced by Korea’s top criminal profiler Jang Tae Soo (Han Suk Kyu), who unexpectedly discovers his daughter’s secret related to a murder case that he is investigating.

 

In the drama, Han Suk Kyu, Chae Won Bin, and Oh Yun Soo portray a family divided by suspicion. Han Suk Kyu plays Jang Tae Soo, a father and profiler who suspects his daughter. Chae Won Bin plays Jang Ha Bin, the daughter facing that suspicion, while Oh Yun Soo portrays Yoon Ji Soo, Tae Soo’s ex-wife and Ha Bin’s mother.

 

The newly released stills showcase the happy past of the Tae Soo, Ha Bin, and Ji Soo family as well as Ji Soo’s final moments before her death. The stills feature Tae Soo and Ji Soo smiling together at what appears to be a family picnic, raising questions about their estrangement. More stills also show Ji Soo with Ha Bin, depicting Ji Soo raising her daughter without Tae Soo, deepening the mystery surrounding Ji Soo’s departure from life.

Though she may seem like an ordinary high school student, Ha Bin takes after her father in being remarkably clever and observant—and when her father begins to suspect her of being involved in murder, she plays endless mind games with him while delivering shocking plot twists.

 

In newly released stills from the upcoming drama, Ha Bin wears an unreadable expression, with a chilling poker face that makes it impossible to guess what she’s thinking. Her intense gaze also suggests that she’s not the typical high school student.

Although Jang Tae Soo is a renowned profiler known for his keen intuition, he struggles to understand the mind of his own daughter, whom he is raising alone after the death of his wife.

The newly released stills capture a tense atmosphere between the father and daughter at a police station. Ha Bin appears reserved as she answers questions from the officers, while Tae Soo arrives, clearly anxious about her situation.

On October 8, the production team released stills of Han Suk Kyu as Jang Tae Soo, a father who suspects his daughter. The images highlight the sharp contrast between Jang Tae Soo, a skilled profiler at the crime scene, and his shortcomings as a father at home.

 

 

In one still, Jang Tae Soo is shown investigating a case with a sharp, intense gaze. However, at home, he is far from professional; he appears gruff and has a distant, awkward relationship with his daughter. When Jang Tae Soo learns that his daughter is connected to a murder case, his defenses collapse, driving him to desperately uncover the truth.

MBC’s upcoming drama “Doubt” has shared a glimpse of the first meeting between Han Suk Kyu, Han Ye Ri, and Noh Jae Won!

 

“Doubt” (previously known as “Such a Close Traitor”) is a psychological thriller about the dilemma faced by Korea’s top criminal profiler Jang Tae Soo (Han Suk Kyu), who unexpectedly discovers that his daughter Ha Bin (Chae Won Bin) is hiding a secret related to a murder case that he is investigating.   

                                   

In newly released stills from the upcoming drama, Jang Tae Soo interviews Lee Eo Jin (Han Ye Ri) and Koo Dae Hong (Noh Jae Won) as potential candidates for his team. The two police officers are completely different in terms of how they approach a case: the cool-headed Lee Eo Jin focuses on the facts, while Noh Jae Won places greater importance on empathy.

 

During their job interview, Lee Eo Jin—who has always been a huge fan of Jang Tae Soo—is visibly nervous after meeting her longtime idol. On the other hand, Koo Dae Hong is completely relaxed as he answers Jang Tae Soo’s questions with a smile.

Reasons to watch: Taking over the slot after Black Out’s success, Doubt offers an equally gutting and intense tale. Now, I love Han Seok-kyu and don’t want to see him sad, so this will be a hard one for me. He plays a renowned criminal profiler who begins to suspect his own daughter (Chae Won-bin) in a case, and, as expected, it starts to tear apart the trust between them. The drama also stars Han Ye-ri and Oh Yeon-soo — and with the PD from Wild Boar Hunting at the helm, I’ve no doubt (pun intended) this will be dark and riveting.

 

TL;DR: Han Seok-kyu is in for a rough go when he profiles his own daughter in a murder case
