The Great Soompi Winter Showdown

Welcome to The Great Soompi Winter Showdown, chingus!

 

As has been our tradition since the last couple of years, in this year's edition of our December Event, we are going to play a game AGAIN, yes!  You will again turn into Sherlock and Hercule Poirot and search for the cards! These cards are going to give you a chance to win the Great Soompi Winter Showdown!

What's the theme of the game?

 

The theme is dramas airing in December. We have included 10 kdramas (including 2 daily dramas).

 

We have chosen 20 characters from these dramas. All the characters are leads.

 

Every second day starting on December 1st, two (2) of these characters will have a showdown.

 

How does it work?

 

1) We have hidden 20 characters as cards in currently airing drama or actor/actress threads. These will be revealed in pairs every second day.

2) There will be a question about the 2 characters revealed - pitting the characters against each other in a showdown.

3) You need to decide, depending on the question, who of these characters will win the showdown question.
(e.g. Who of these characters will be hit by the truck of doom first?  I bet on Character 1. )

4) You will let the EOs know on this thread which of the cards you choose

5) As the dramas continue to air throughout December, one of the characters will win the showdown.

6) If you bet on the winning card, you will get a point. 

 

Note! This is not a contest. This is just for fun while we count down to Christmas.

 

Detailed instructions of the Game are: 

 

• 2 new clues will be posted in one of the posts below this one. The clue will point to the drama. All dramas are airing in December.
• The cards have been hidden on the drama threads or on one of the leads' actor/actress threads.
  • In case said drama/actor/actress thread is long, it will be found in one of the early pages or last pages
• Once you find the cards, come back here and tell us that you found it. Please place your bet (which of the character will win the showdown question) in spoiler tags, as to not spoil it for others who haven't solved the clues yet.
• You can solve as many clues as you want / feel like.
• We will give additional clues in case the clues if they seem hard.
• We are hoping that people who are watching the dramas airing will help us out and tell us when a character fulfills/wins the showdown question.
• Since the dramas that are in showdown with each other aren't necessarily airing on the same days of the week (e.g. one drama is a Mon-Tue drama, the other is a Fri-Sat drama), we will determine who wins the showdown according to the dramas' schedules.
  • Example:
    • We give the showdown question on Monday
    • Character 1 in Fri-Sat drama fulfills the question on the second episode (Sat) of that week
    • Character 2 in Sat-Sun drama fulfills the question on the first episode (Sat) of that week
    • Character 2 wins the showdown
• If neither character fulfills the showdown question by Dec 24th, we EOs will do a draw.

Oh finally we have have few people placing their bets on character 1. Let’s watch the episodes tonight and see if the drama gods listened to us. But, tbh, both Character 1 and 2 look good in everything.
